Abstract

This study aims to determine how students respond to the use of flipbook modules in Human Anatomy and Physiology courses on the material of the human circulatory system. Flipbook-based modules use animation, sound, and images to communicate information dynamically that increases student engagement and understanding. This study involved 50 Biology Department students from the 2022 batch. A 4-point Likert-based questionnaire was used to collect data, and the questionnaire contained questions about the clarity of the module's objectives, understanding of the content, attractiveness, and learning independence. The results showed that 79% of students found the module material easy to understand, and 76% found it interesting and interactive. Although this module is effective overall, there are several things that need to be considered, including the way the content is delivered and elements that encourage students to learn independently. Therefore, the flipbook module has proven to be practical for use in education, although it still needs improvement to get better results. Absrtak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan modul flipbook dalam mata kuliah Anatomi dan Fisiologi Manusia pada materi sistem peredaran  darah  pada  manusia.  Modul  berbasis  flipbook menggunakan   animasi,   suara,   dan   gambar   untuk mengomunikasikan informasi secara dinamis yang meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman mahasiswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 50 mahasiswa Jurusan Biologi dari stambuk 2022. Kuesioner berbasis Likert 4 poin digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, dan kuesioner tersebut berisi pertanyaan tentang kejelasan tujuan modul, pemahaman konten, daya tarik, dan kemandirian belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 79% mahasiswa menganggap materi modul mudah dipahami, dan 76% menganggapnya menarik dan interaktif. Meskipun modul ini secara keseluruhan efektif, ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan, termasuk cara penyampaian konten dan elemen yang mendorong siswa untuk belajar secara mandiri. Oleh karena itu, modul flipbook terbukti praktis untuk digunakan dalam pendidikan,  meskipun  masih  perlu  penyempurnaan  untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The learning process that occurs still focuses on the lecturer as the main source of knowledge. So, to develop superior graduate competencies, learning development is needed by implementing project based learning (PjBL) integrated lesson study in learning medicinal plant tissue culture. In project learning (PjBL) students are required to be able to master theoretical concepts in the field of knowledge in depth, procedurally, analyze data, be able to solve problems, make decisions based on information and data analysis, and provide and choose alternative solutions. The aim of this research is to increase the learning effectiveness of pharmacy students. The research method used is Development or Research and Development (R&D). Lesson Study activities are carried out in 3 stages, namely planning, implementing (do) accompanied by project-based learning, and reflection (see). The research subjects were 50 pharmacy students from Sari Mutiara University, Indonesia. The research results show that: the application of PjBL to medicinal plant tissue culture which is integrated in lesson study can improve student learning outcomes as seen from the pre-test results of 37.4% and post-test results of 83.9%. The project carried out by students on medicinal plant tissue culture in all 10 groups resulted in the production of 100% sterile media, the results of explant initiation were 94% sterile and the explants grew 99.3%.

Abstract

The development of e-modules on spermatophyta taxonomy material in herbal medicinal plant literacy is a research that aims to create interactive e-modules that facilitate understanding of medicinal plant taxonomy digitally. This e-module development method includes needs analysis, content design, digital technology implementation, and evaluation. However, this research was only carried out until the development stage (develop). This validation test was carried out by material experts, learning experts, design experts, linguists and student responses. The level of validity of the E-Module of spermatophyta taxonomy with a focus on herbal medicinal plant material received a score according to the material expert 92.7% with the category “very valid”, according to the learning expert 90.6% with the category “very valid”, according to the design expert 98% with the category “very valid”, according to the linguist 91.6% with the category “very valid”, and student responses as many as 40 people 91.2% with the category “very valid”. With an overall total of 92.8% with the category “very valid”. Abstrak. Pengembangan e-modul materi taksonomi spermatophyta dalam literasi tanaman obat herbal merupakan sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan e-modul interaktif yang memfasilitasi pemahaman taksonomi tumbuhan obat secara digital. Metode pengembangan e-modul ini mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan konten, implementasi teknologi digital, dan evaluasi. Namun pada penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai tahap pengembangan (develop). Uji Validasi ini dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli pembelajaran, ahli design, ahli bahasa dan respon mahasiswa. Tingkat kevalidan E-Modul taksonomi spermatophyta dengan fokus materi tanaman obat herbal ini mendapatkan nilai menurut ahli materi 92,7% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, menurut ahli pembelajaran 90,6% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, menurut ahli desain 98% dengan kategori “sangat valid”, menurut ahli bahasa 91,6% dengan kategori “sangat valid”,dan respon mahasiswa sebanyak 40 orang 91,2% dengan kategori “sangat valid”. Dengan total keseluruhan 92,8% dengan kategori “sangat valid”.

Abstract

Indonesia has a high diversity of plant species, but the phenomenon of plant blindness is still often found among students, characterized by low awareness and mastery of the concept of biodiversity. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Flora Incognita application in increasing awareness of plants and the cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on biodiversity material. The research method used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 10th grade students at one of the high schools in Cimahi City, West Java. The research results show that learning combined with technology in the form of the Flora Incognita application can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes with an N-Gain value of 0.5 in the medium category. Apart from that, this learning also increases awareness of plants with an N-Gain value of 0.3 in the medium category. Apart from that, no relationship was found between learning outcomes and plant awareness. This research concludes that the Flora Incognita application can be an innovative alternative to overcome the plant blindness phenomenon while increasing mastery of biodiversity material at the high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from goat manure on the growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium cepa). This research used a quantitative method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of five treatments and three replications: P1 (0%) as the control, P2 (10%), P3 (20%), P4 (30%), and P5 (40%). The parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, number of bulbs, bulb diameter, fresh bulb weight, and dry bulb weight. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT), with SPSS version 26. The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure at concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% had a significant effect on plant growth. The highest average plant height was found at 10% and 30% concentrations (37.8 cm); the highest average number of leaves at 40% (24.0); the highest average number of bulbs at 40% (8.3); the highest average bulb diameter at 20% (22.70 mm); the highest average fresh bulb weight at 40% (20.3 g); and the highest average dry bulb weight at 20% (21.7 g). This data can be used as teaching material for learning biology material. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik cair (POC) kotoran kambing terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium cepa). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan dengan P1 0% sebagai kontrol, P2 10%, P3 20%, P4 30%, P5 40%, Parameter yang diukur yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi, diameter umbi, berat basah umbi, berat kering umbi. Data hasil penelitian di analisis menggunakan Analisis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT), SPSS yang digunakan adalah vesi 26. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat di buktikan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair (POC) kotoran kambing dengan konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada konsentrasi 10% dan 30% yaitu 37.8, jumlah daun dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada konsentrasi 40% yaitu 24.0, jumlah umbi dengan nilai rata-rata tertingi pada konsentrasi 40% yaitu 8.3, diameter umbi dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada konsentrasi 20% yaitu 22.70, berat basah umbi dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada konsentrasi 40% yaitu 20.3, berat kering umbi dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada konsentrasi 20% yaitu 21.7.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the perception and implementation of differentiated instruction by biology teachers on the excretory system topic at public senior high schools (SMA Negeri) in Pematangsiantar City. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The population consisted of all biology teachers teaching Grade XI, totaling 10 individuals. Sampling was conducted using a puposive sampling technique. The results showed that teachers’ perceptions of differentiated instruction were categorized as very good, with an average score of 87.4%. The implementation of differentiated instruction was also categorized as very good, based on two main indicators with average scores of 87.2% and 87.3%, respectively. These findings indicate that biology teachers in SMA Negeri Pematangsiantar have a strong understanding of differentiated instruction and are able to implement it effectively in the learning process. The implications of this study highlight the importance of ongoing support and professional development for teachers to maintain and enhance their differentiated teaching practices in order to accommodate students’ diverse learning needs. Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan belajar siswa yang beragam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis persepsi dan implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi oleh guru biologi pada materi sistem ekskresi di SMA Negeri Kota Pematangsiantar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh guru biologi kelas XI yang berjumlah 10 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berada dalam kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor 87,4%. Implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi juga tergolong sangat baik dengan dua indikator utama yang masing-masing memperoleh skor rata-rata 87,2% dan 87,3%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru biologi di SMA Negeri Kota Pematangsiantar memiliki pemahaman yang baik terhadap konsep pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dan mampu mengimplementasikannya secara efektif. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya pelatihan dan dukungan berkelanjutan bagi guru untuk mempertahankan serta meningkatkan praktik pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di kelas.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent learning curriculum using a scientific approach in biology learning has not been optimally implemented according to the planned implementation. This study aims to determine the implementation of the independent learning curriculum with a scientific approach on the material of environmental change and preservation in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis for the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with a survey method. The data collection technique for this study used teaching module analysis sheets, observation sheets, student questionnaires, and additional interviews. Data were analyzed using a percentage formula. The results showed that the lesson plans prepared by teachers were in accordance with the components of the independent curriculum by 81.25% (in the good category), and outlined the steps of scientific approach activities. Meanwhile, the implementation of the independent curriculum with a scientific approach in biology learning obtained a percentage of 82.14% in the good category, consisting of initial activities of 80.53% in the good category, core activities of 80.68% in the good category, and final activities of 85.21% in the good category. Meanwhile, the application of the Scientific Approach (5M) obtained 81.2% with a good category, the observing stage was 81.1%, asking was 64.3%, collecting data was 79.5%, associating was 90.2%, and communicating was 91.1%. The biology teacher of grade X has used an assessment based on the Independent Curriculum which consists of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum with a scientific approach on the material of environmental change and preservation in grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis for the 2024/2025 academic year at the planning stage is categorized as good, the overall implementation stage is categorized as good, and the assessment stage is categorized as good. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar dengan scientific approach pada materi perubahan dan pelestarian lingkungan hidup di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis T.P 2024/2025. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini dengan menggunakan lembar analisis modul ajar, lembar observasi, kuesioner peserta didik, dan tambahan berupa wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran yang disusun guru memiliki kesesuaian dengan komponen kurikulum merdeka dengan kategori baik, dan menjabarkan langkah kegiatan scientific approach. Sementara implementasi kurikulum merdeka dengan scientific approach pada pembelajaran biologi dalam kategori baik, yang terdiri dari kegiatan awal dengan kategori baik, kegiatan inti dengan kategori baik, dan kegiatan akhir dengan kategori baik. Sedangkan penerapan Scientific Approach (5M) dalam kategori baik, meliputi tahapan mengamati dengan kategori baik, tahap menanya dalam kategori kurang, tahap mengumpulkan data dalam kategori cukup, tahap mengasosiasikan dalam kategori sangat baik, dan mengkomunikasikan dengan kategori sangat baik. Guru biologi kelas X telah menggunakan penilaian berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka yang terdiri dari asesmen diagnostik, formatif, dan sumatif dengan baik. Namun, guru jarang menggunakan rubrik penilaian sebagai pedoman dalam melakukan penilaian. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka dengan Scientific Approach di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis terlaksana dengan baik

Abstract

Critical thinking is very popular in education, and its learning refers to reasoning, analyzing, problem-solving strategies, and finding solutions. Critical thinking is very important for students, but in reality, students' critical thinking skills are still low. The use of appropriate learning models can improve critical thinking, such as the PBL model, which is relevant to learning in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of integrated interactive PBL learning media on improving critical thinking skills in the subject of the excretory system. This study used a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the control class (XI MIPA 3) and the experimental class (XI MIPA 1). Data analysis was performed using the T-test. The T-test results with a significance level (2-tailed) < 0.05 showed that there was an effect of integrated PBL learning media on critical thinking skills. Abstrak. Berpikir kritis sangat popular didunia Pendidikan, pembelajarannya mengacu untuk benalar, menganalisis, startegi pemecahan masalah, dan menemukan solusi. Berpikir kritis sangat penting bagi peserta didik, tapi kenyataannya berpikir kritis peserta didik masih tegolong rendah. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh media pembelajaran interaktif terintegrasi PBL tehadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi sistem ekskresi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasy exsperiment dengan pretest-posttest control grup. Sampel dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol (XI MIPA 3) dan eksperiment (XI MIPA 1). Analisis data menggunakan uji T. Hasil uji T dengan signifikasi (2-tailed) < 0,05 yang menunjukan adanya pengaruh media pembelajaran terintegrasi PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Make A Match model with Wizer.me learning media equipped with interactive LKS. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) using a descriptive qualitative approach, which was carried out in 2 stages, namely cycle I and Cycle II involving 32 people. The learning outcomes of students in cycle I had an average value of 66.25, there were 25 people who completed with a percentage of 78%, 7 people did not complete with a percentage of 22%. The Affective aspect assessment obtained an average value of 65.75. There were 21 people who completed with a percentage of 66%, while 11 people did not complete with a percentage of 34%. In cycle II, the cognitive aspect experienced an increase in the average posttest value of 80.25, there were 3 people who completed with a percentage of 91%, while 3 people did not complete with a percentage of 9%. The Affective Aspect Assessment cycle II averaged 73.25. 30 students completed with a percentage of 94%, while 2 people did not complete with a percentage of 6%. The achievement of learning outcomes in Cycle II was very satisfactory above KKTP 65. It can be concluded that the make a match learning model assisted by wizer.me learning media equipped with interactive LKS can improve student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 3 Waingapu. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapkan model  Make A Match dengan media pembelajaran Wizer.me yang dilengkapi lembar kerja interaktif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 tahap yaitu siklus I, dan Siklus II dengan melibatkan 32 orang peserta didik. Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 66,25 dari nilai post-test ini terdapat 7 peserta didik yang tidak memenuhi kriteria pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran (KKTP) 65, sedangkan yang memenuhi KKTP terdapat 25 peserta didik dari 32 orang peserta didik. Untuk melihat presentase yang mencapai KKTP adalah 78% sedangkan presentase yang tidak mencapai KKTP sebanyak 22 orang. Pada siklus I penilaian aspek Afektif memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 65,75. Terdapat 21 siswa dalam kategori baik/cukup dengan persentase 66, sementara 11 siswa dikategorikan kurang dengan persentase 34. Hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa nilai Afektif Siklus 1 meningkat dari pra-siklus. Pada siklus II, aspek kognitif mengalami peningkatan lagi dengan skor rata-rata posttest 80,25, terdapat 3 siswa yang tidak memenuhi kriteria minimum KKTP 65, yang memenuhi KKTP terdapat 29 siswa dari 32 siswa, sedangkan yang tidak memenuhi KKTP terdapat 3 siswa. Persentase siswa yang mencapai KKTP adalah 91%. Persentase siswa yang tidak mencapai KKTP sebesar 9%, pada siklus II hasil belajar siswa sangat baik. Aspek afektif siklus II memiliki nilai rata-rata 73,25 yang dikategorikan sangat baik. Terdapat 30 siswa dengan persentase 94%, sedangkan 2 siswa dikategorikan kurang dari 6%. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, pencapaian hasil belajar pada Siklus II sangat memuaskan karena banyak siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKTP, yaitu 65. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan media pembelajaran Wizer.me yang dilengkapi lembar kerja interaktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Waingapu.
