Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the attractiveness of the school library and its impact on increasing the literacy interest of 5th-grade students at SDN Sukarasa, Cileunyi, Bandung Regency. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, supported by literature studies. The library at SDN Sukarasa is not fully optimized, primarily due to space constraints preventing the establishment of a dedicated library room. However, schools and educators can take measures to encourage students' literacy development, such as creating classroom-based literacy spaces and utilizing technology for literacy activities. The findings suggest that while the library's current state hinders its effectiveness, alternative strategies can still foster student literacy. This study contributes to understanding how library conditions in elementary schools influence students' literacy interest and offers practical solutions for overcoming related challenges.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk fashion mahasiswa IAIN Kendari yang menggunakan Instagram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data terdiri dari tiga tahap yang berbeda: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, mahasiswi IAIN Kendari yang menggabungkan gaya pribadi mereka ke dalam pakaian mereka terus mengamati tren fashion Instagram. Dengan memilih bentuk-bentuk busana yang sesuai dan tepat yang terinspirasi dari mahasiswi, seorang mahasiswi IAIN Kendari dapat mempertahankan penampilan yang modis, bergaya, dan trendi tanpa mengorbankan identitas mereka atau ketaatan pada nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and describe the role of the volleyball sports community in fostering social interaction among its members in Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The focus is on understanding how the community functions as a platform for social engagement and personal development. This qualitative descriptive research involved key informants, including community managers, members, and coaches. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with the researcher serving as the primary instrument. Data analysis was conducted using techniques such as data reduction, data display, and data verification. Triangulation of sources and methods was employed to ensure the validity of the findings. The study reveals that the volleyball community serves multiple roles in enhancing social interaction among its members: as a place for coming out, exchanging information, showing existence, and mutual support. These roles contribute significantly to the members' social development, allowing them to connect with others, share knowledge, and establish their presence within the broader community. This research highlights the importance of sports communities as vital spaces for social interaction and personal growth, particularly for youth. Such communities can play a significant role in fostering social cohesion and identity formation. This study provides a unique insight into the social dynamics within a sports community, emphasizing the multifaceted roles that such communities play in supporting the social and personal development of their members.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the juridical aspects of business operators who commit the crime of distributing food without a distribution permit in Pekanbaru, as reflected in Decision No. 960/Pid.Sus/2014/PN.Pbr. The study employs a normative legal research method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The data used are secondary, including primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively by comparing the data with relevant legal regulations and expert opinions. The research reveals that the application of criminal law against business operators who distribute food without a permit is based on the fulfillment of legal elements as stipulated in Article 58(k) of Law No. 7 of 1996 on Food. The court sentenced the defendant, Ati, to four months in prison, suspended for one year, and ordered the destruction of the seized products. The findings also indicate a need for more rigorous enforcement and awareness-raising about the importance of food safety regulations among business operators. This study contributes to the understanding of the legal responsibilities of business operators in ensuring food safety and the role of the judiciary in enforcing these regulations. It highlights the importance of adherence to food safety laws to protect consumers and prevent legal repercussions for businesses. The research provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal framework surrounding food distribution without a permit in Indonesia, offering insights into the challenges of enforcing food safety laws at the local level.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid development of information and communication technology, which has introduced various terms to clarify technological products, one of which is mobile phones, also known as gadgets. This research aims to identify and describe the practice of mobile phone usage in the daily lives of elementary school children and to evaluate its impact on them. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to gain an understanding of mobile phone usage at SDN 2 Biromaru, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. Data collection techniques included literature review and field research, which involved observation, interviews, and documentation. The number of informants in this study was eight, selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that technological advancements have increasingly attracted attention, particularly among elementary school students. The use of mobile phones has spread across all age groups, including young children, who should have their usage strictly controlled. This is crucial to prevent cases of violence or the spread of inappropriate content that should not be accessible to children. Therefore, the role of teachers and parents is vital in monitoring mobile phone usage, both at school and at home. Although technology brings positive benefits, such as easy access to information, there are also negative impacts, including behavioral and moral changes that conflict with the prevailing societal norms.

Abstract

Character education has a crucial role in basic education as an effort to build a generation that is intellectually intelligent and has noble character. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Tahfidz program in building the character and spiritual values of students in MIN 01 Bandung City. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to explore experiences, views, and practices in the implementation of the Tahfidz program involving 5th grade students, teachers, and parents. The results of the study show that the Tahfidz program has a positive impact on student discipline, honesty, responsibility, and cooperation. The on-time attendance rate of students increased from 60% to 85% after the program was running, while the habit of self-reliance at home increased from 30% to 70%. In addition, group activities such as the Sima'an method help build student honesty and responsibility, where 90% of students carry out group tasks honestly and objectively. The cooperation created in the group also strengthens solidarity, where 80% of students actively help friends who are experiencing difficulties. This program has succeeded in instilling discipline and an orderly lifestyle and forming solid moral and spiritual values. This study recommends the integration of the Tahfidz program into the formal education system as an effort to build a young generation with high character and integrity.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education in the era of Society 5.0, by highlighting the challenges and opportunities faced by educators and students. Educators are required to not only master the teaching material, but also be able to adapt to technological developments to increase learning effectiveness. Various digital platforms, such as Quizziz and Google Forms, can be leveraged in learning evaluation, while artificial intelligence (AI) needs to be used to ensure the accuracy of information. In addition, social media has great potential as an educational tool, where teachers can take advantage of digital trends to build students' critical thinking and instill awareness of the importance of information verification. In the context of Islamic education, the integration between religious science and science is a challenge that needs to be overcome in order to create a holistic education. The takhrij method in hadith discourse can be used as a model in verifying information spread on the internet, so that students can be more selective in receiving information. More broadly, Society 5.0 has the potential to create a super smart society by utilizing technological innovations to improve the quality of education. With a learning approach that combines technology and Islamic educational values, it is hoped that the education system can produce students who are not only academically intelligent, but also have a strong character and are responsible in the use of technology. Through this strategy, education can be the main instrument in building an adaptive, innovative, and ethical society in facing the digital era.

Abstract

Student academic achievement is influenced by various factors, including the effectiveness of principal supervision and teacher motivation in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of principal supervision as an instructional leadership function and teacher motivation on student academic achievement. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. The sample consisted of 44 respondents, including grade IV, V, and VI teachers as well as grade V students from several elementary schools in Cirebon Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires, and were statistically analyzed using the product-moment correlation formula. The results indicate that: (1) principal supervision has a positive effect on student academic achievement, contributing 55.4%; (2) teacher motivation also positively affects student achievement, contributing 53.8%; and (3) there is a significant simultaneous effect of both principal supervision and teacher motivation on student academic achievement, as indicated by a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. This study provides empirical evidence highlighting the importance of principals’ supervisory roles and the enhancement of teacher motivation in improving student learning outcomes. The findings suggest the need for leadership training programs for principals and professional development initiatives for teachers as key strategies to improve the quality of education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Menarche marks the onset of menstruation in adolescent girls, yet many lack sufficient knowledge to face it confidently, potentially impacting their physical and emotional health. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of animated video media in improving knowledge about menarche among female students at SDN Talaga Kulon I. A quantitative descriptive method was used involving five sixth-grade students who had not yet experienced menarche. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments following a health education intervention using animated videos. The results revealed a significant improvement in knowledge levels: before the intervention, 100% of participants had low knowledge, while after the intervention, 60% achieved good knowledge and 40% moderate knowledge. These findings suggest that animated video media can serve as an effective educational tool in increasing menarche awareness among pre-adolescent girls. This study contributes to the development of engaging, age-appropriate reproductive health education strategies in elementary school settings.

Abstract

Modern organizational dynamics demand a profound understanding of organizational behavior (OB) as a primary key to enhancing employee performance. In the context of public services, especially in the vital healthcare sector, optimal employee performance is essential to ensure service quality and the achievement of strategic targets. This study analyzes the role of organizational behavior in fostering optimal employee performance at the Cirebon Regency Health Office. It aims to identify the extent to which interactions and work culture within the office environment influence employee effectiveness and productivity, as well as to pinpoint the OB variables that contribute most to performance. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional design, collecting data simultaneously from 45 respondents, representing a 25% sample of the total population of 180 employees at the Cirebon Regency Health Office. A questionnaire was used for primary data collection, complemented by secondary data, and subsequently analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% significance level (α=0.05). Data collection was conducted from January 2-10, 2025, at the Cirebon Regency Health Office. The findings reveal a p-value of 0.005 (α<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between organizational behavior and employee performance at the Cirebon Regency Health Office. This result underscores the importance of positive organizational behavior in creating a supportive work environment conducive to achieving the best possible performance. This research contributes by providing strategic recommendations for the Cirebon Regency Health Office, particularly concerning the implementation of technology systems to support real-time performance reporting and the strengthening of leadership roles as drivers of employee performance. These insights are expected to serve as practical guidelines for optimizing human resource management in the public healthcare sector.
