Abstract

This community service activity aims to train and assist the Tanjung Pinggir village community in developing community potential through the use of inorganic waste counting machine technology. This activity's target audience consists of ten people from the Tanjung Pinggir village community in Pematangsiantar city. This activity is trained and mentored through lectures, demonstrations, and exercises, which are supplemented by questions and answers. The lecture method is used to explain business concepts and theories that are based on technology. The demonstration method is used to explain a future technology work process. While the training method is used to practice technology-based media, the question and answer method allows participants to consult on media development problems. The enthusiasm of the participants, pangulu, and activity funds aided in the implementation of this activity. The participants did not have prior knowledge of technology, and there was limited time for training. Participants can benefit from this service activity by increasing participant business sales

Abstract

This community service aims to provide understanding and re-grounding of the importance of the position of state ideology in the life of the nation and state in Indonesia, because Pancasila for the Indonesian people works as a philosophy of life and a view of life that is excavated from the crystallization of the socio-cultural values of the Indonesian nation. The importance of re-earthing the values of Pancasila in the lives of all levels of society because post-reformation until now has been found to be an indication of the strengthening of radicalism, intolerance and moral degradation in the lives of all levels of Indonesian society. If this condition continues to develop, it is feared that it will encourage disintegration of the nation. Moral degradation and radicalism have not only hit many people but have also entered the world of education. Therefore, it is important to implement the earthing of Pancasila to all levels of society in general and students in particular in all educational units. To socialize and ground the material on the ideology of the Pancasila state to students, students use the lecture and question and answer method which lasts for 120 minutes. With the socialization and grounding of Pancasila for junior high school students, the tourism industry of the USI Foundation, it is hoped that early on, students will be spared from various movements of radicalism, intolerance and moral decadence that are currently developing in the younger generation and students in particular. To socialize and ground the material on the ideology of the Pancasila state to students, students use the lecture and question and answer method which lasts for 120 minutes.

Abstract

This community service is because seeing the situation in the area has problems regarding the implementation of the agreement, especially regarding the pawning of agricultural land, the implementation of this service aims to provide understanding, evaluate problems in the community and seek to provide solutions to problems that exist in the community, especially regarding agreements in the village of Cinta Maju, Samosir Regency. The method of implementing community service is carried out in an identical way, namely the lecture and question and answer method, which provides an understanding of the theoretical agreement. With this service activity, it provides a new perspective on the implementation of the agreement in the village. It is also hoped that through this service, the village will become a place for the development of higher education education in the study of problems both in the field of law and in other fields of education

Abstract

The Pematang Siantar city government has issued Regional Regulation number 1 of 2021 concerning the Preservation and Management of Cultural Conservation in the city of Pematang Siantar. Cultural heritage is a cultural heritage that is material in the form of Cultural Conservation Objects, Cultural Conservation Buildings, Cultural Conservation Structures, Cultural Conservation Sites, and Cultural Conservation Areas on land and or in water that need to be preserved because they have important values for history, science, education, religion, and or culture through the determination process. The purpose of this community service is to explain to participants, namely government employees in the sub-districts of Pematang Siantar city, which are eight sub-districts so that they can know and get provisions to carry out the preservation and management of cultural heritage or suspected cultural heritage in their respective regions.The method used is the lecture method, followed by a question and answer session between the lecturer and the participants. The lecture was conducted by displaying a slide that could show an image of a suspected cultural heritage at the Office of Education and Culture of Pematang Siantar City Jl. Merdeka, Pematang Siantar. The result achieved in this socialization is that participants consisting of government employees in the sub-district can recognize a number of objects that are suspected of being cultural heritage in their working areas. Sustainability of socialization means that sub-district employees are equipped with abilities, and are able to take action in the effort to preserve and manage cultural heritage, or those suspected of cultural heritage by the community to sub-district employees to be followed up. Abstract

One of the wealth that Indonesia has is the wealth of tourist attractions. And the majority are nature-themed attractions. Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja, is one of the nature-themed tourist attractions that is hundreds of years old, located in the area of Dolok Tinggi Raja Nature Reserve Bahoan Nagori Dolok Marawa Village, Silau Kahean District, Simalungun Regency. In order to find out the natural tourism potential of the Tinggi Raja area, it is necessary to carry out practical assessment activities for the Tinggi Raja natural tourism area. In the discussion with the Focus Group Disscusion (FGD) model, various information emerged from the training participants in exploring the potential of nature that can be used as a tourist attraction in Nagori Dolok Marawa. Abstract

Brown sugar is crystallized palm sugar. Some of the reasons why palm sugar is healthier than granulated sugar is that the calories contained in palm sugar are smaller than white sugar so palm sugar is often referred to as low-calorie sugar, and palm sugar also has a lower glycemic index, namely of 35 while in granulated sugar the glycemic index is 58. The optimal way to improve the structure of melted sugar is by processing it into granular sugar, namely through re-melting of molded sugar with the addition of water into a sugar solution. The addition of granulated sugar and seed was found to have an effect on the yield, total sugar, sucrose, and the level of preference for color, taste and aroma, but decreased water content, reducing sugar, browning index and aroma level.The best treatment is the addition of 30% granulated sugar with a seeding temperature of 120 0C, in general it meets the requirements of SII where the water content, 2.75%, reducing sugar 4.35%, sucrose 81.14, total sugar 89.86, ash content, 1 .91%, browning index 0.20 abs/g and 81.36 yield. While the most preferred organoleptic test is the addition of 30% granulated sugar with a seeding temperature of 120 0C with a color value of 6.95, aroma 5.70 and taste 5.70. Economic analysis of melted molded sugar gives a profit of IDR 778,800/month, while improving the quality by processing ant sugar gives a profit of Rp. 1,606,000/month (all inputs are calculated at cost), If the allocation of family labor is categorized as family income plus the use of other materials that are not paid, then the income is Rp. 4,278,000/month for sugar. printing and Rp. 5,456,000/month for ant sugar. Abstract

Nagori Negeri Bosar is an agricultural village located around the oil palm plantation of Marjandi plantation. In general, farmers in this village manage dry land with various types of crops, such as corn, peanuts, cassava, and cocoa. In addition, they also raise livestock, pigs in cages or cattle grazing in plantation areas. The management of farming branches is separate from each other, therefore they are not complementary. This is a problem that is trying to be solved through this community service activity. The purpose of this activity is to integrate farming branches managed by farming families so that efficiency occurs through reducing production costs and will further increase family income as well as the welfare of farmer families This community service activity is intended to empower farmers, especially through a group approach. Various extension methods were applied, such as lectures, field meetings and the practice of processing farm waste into the next production material/input. The results obtained were fodder silage made from corn straw, peanuts and lamtoro leaves and cow dung compost enriched with cocoa husk and oil palm flower buds. The practice of making silage and compost has worked quite well, but the enthusiasm of farmers is still not good, therefore farmer empowerment programs need to be continued by prioritizing changes in mindset or principles of environmentally friendly and efficient farming management

Abstract

The increase in the price of animal feed makes it difficult for households as farmers by utilizing household waste to feed their livestock. The increase in feed prices also encourages food farmers to switch to corn because corn is a raw material for animal feed. So that household farmers also have difficulty buying corn. Maggot BSF is an alternative feed that is very high in protein to encourage livestock growth. BSF maggots are larvae that can be used as alternative feed. Cultivation of BSF maggot is also relatively easy and can utilize household waste or food scraps as BSF maggot food. In this community service, training activities for maggot cultivation as an alternative to animal feed are carried out in Bane Village. The implementation method is carried out by means of lectures, discussions and practice. The result of this service is to grow the participants' desire to cultivate BSF maggot as animal feed. The result was that the participants were very responsive to this activity, as evidenced by the active participation of the community in the activity from beginning to end and the large number of active participants in the discussion and question and answer sessions. So it can be concluded that the maggot cultivation training in Bane Village was successful and the participants' understanding and attitudes increased about the importance of waste treatment for maggot cultivation as an alternative to animal feed

Abstract

There are honey-producing bees that have a sting and do not have a sting (stingless bee). The last type of bee is still rarely known to the public. To introduce these bees, socialization needs to be done. Socialization activities use the method of extension and dissemination of science and technology. This activity explains the conditions of the honey market in Indonesia, types of honey bees, determinants of production, benefits and techniques for harvesting honey and stingless bee pollen. During the activity, the participants enthusiastically listened to the material and played an active role, especially during the discussion and question and answer sessions regarding honey harvesting and pollen processing techniques. For the practice of stingless honey bee cultivation, bee colonies of the Heterotrigona itama species are given to the target community group
