Abstract

This quantitative research aims to determine the volleyball underhand passing ability of students at Mangasa Elementary School. The population of this study was all students at Mangasa Elementary School. Purposive sampling was used to determine the sample size, thus reflecting the total population of 30 students at Mangasa Elementary School. The data collection technique used was an underhand passing test for the students at Mangasa Elementary School. The results of the study on the underhand passing ability of the 30 students at Mangasa Elementary School showed that out of 30 students, 2 (6.67%) were in the excellent category, 10 (33.33%) were in the good category, 8 (26.67%) were in the fair category, 7 (23.33%) were in the poor category, and 3 (10.00%) were in the poor category. Based on the research results and discussion, it can be concluded that the volleyball underhand passing ability of the students at Mangasa Elementary School is categorized as "good."

Abstract

This study aims to describe student activities, teacher activities, and the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes through the application of a cooperative approach assisted by mathematical domino media for second-grade students of SD Inpres 12/79 Amali Riattang, Bone Regency. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach implemented in two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 16 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and learning outcome tests. The results showed that in the first cycle the learning activities were still in the sufficient category, with the percentage of student learning completion of 37.5%. In the second cycle, there was a significant increase where teacher and student activities were in the good category and learning completion increased to 75%. This increase indicates that the application of a cooperative approach assisted by mathematical domino media can increase student engagement in learning, foster cooperation, and help students understand mathematical concepts more easily and enjoyably. Thus, this approach is effective in improving elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) siswa kelas V SD melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 61 Palongki. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa serta tes hasil belajar untuk mengetahui peningkatan capaian siswa pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Aktivitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa mengalami perbaikan yang cukup baik. Pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 74%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 87% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) efektif dalam mengakomodasi perbedaan kemampuan siswa melalui pengelompokan berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan serta pemberian tugas yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar masing-masing siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 61 Palongki. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan ini direkomendasikan untuk digunakan secara berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar guna meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa..

Abstract

This study is a quantitative research with an experimental method using a pre-experimental design, namely the OGPPD. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using magnetic board media on students’ creativity in making collages in the SBdP subject for fourth grade students of SDN 17 Bajoe, Bone Regency. The independent variable in this study is magnetic board media, while the dependent variable is students’ creativity in making collages. The population consists of all fourth grade students totaling 41 students, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a performance test with a rubric-based assessment sheet. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests and hypothesis testing. The results show that the average score of students’ creativity before using the magnetic board media was 54.43, , while after using the media it increased to 69.32. The hypothesis test results indicate that the t-value (10.393) is greater than the t-table value (2.02108) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, there is a significant effect of using magnetic board media on students’ creativity in making collages.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the implementation of active learning based on exploration with a science process approach in fifth-grade students of SDN 246 Bulu-Bulu, Bone Regency. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 17 students. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of exploration-based active learning with a science process approach improved students’ IPAS learning outcomes. In the first cycle, both teacher and student activities were categorized as fair to good, although several limitations were still found, particularly in student participation. In the second cycle, there was a significant improvement in both learning activities and student outcomes, with most students achieving the minimum mastery criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that exploration-based active learning with a science process approach is effective in improving elementary school students’ learning outcomes in IPAS.

Abstract

This study is a pre-experimental study that aims to determine the effect of the Board Rush method on improving the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in science learning at SDN 17 Bajoe, Bone Regency. The research design used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN 17 Bajoe, Bone Regency with a sample of 27 students selected using saturated sampling techniques. The data collection technique used was a test (pretest and posttest) in the form of essay questions to measure students' critical thinking skills before and after the application of the Board Rush method. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average pretest score of students' critical thinking skills was in the very low category with a value of 51.74 and experienced an increase in the average posttest score of 84.00 which was in the high category. This increase indicates a change in students' critical thinking skills after the application of the Board Rush method in science learning. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis using paired samples t-test, a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained, which means there is a significant difference in students' critical thinking abilities before and after the application of the Board Rush method. Because the average posttest score is higher than the average pretest score and the results of the hypothesis testing show a significant difference, it can be concluded that the Board Rush method has an effect on improving the critical thinking abilities of fifth-grade students of SDN 17 Bajoe, Bone Regency.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research study aimed at increasing interest in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in fourth-grade elementary school students through the use of role cards. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 23 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observations of teacher and student activities during the learning process and a questionnaire on learning interest in IPAS to measure the effectiveness of the intervention. The results showed an increase in student learning interest from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, 9 students (39.13%) achieved the learning interest success indicator, while 14 students (60.87%) did not achieve the success indicator. After improving learning in Cycle II by optimizing the use of role cards, all 21 students (91,3%) successfully achieved the learning interest indicator. Furthermore, teacher and student activity also improved, as evidenced by the increase in the percentage of learning implementation from "adequate" in the initial meeting to "good" in the subsequent meeting. Based on the problem formulation, data analysis, and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of role cards can increase interest in learning science in fourth-grade students. Role cards help create an active, enjoyable, and participatory learning environment, encouraging students to be more involved in the learning process. Therefore, role cards are recommended as an alternative learning medium for science in elementary schools to increase student interest. Keywords : Role Cards ; Learning Interest ; Science

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model of the The Learning Cell type on the science and social studies (IPAS) learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 12/79 Toro, Bone Regency. This study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental method with a Nonquivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students of SD Inpres 12/79 Toro, Bone Regency, totaling 39 students, selected using a non-probability or saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a learning motivation questionnaire. The data analysis techniques employed were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study indicated that: (a) the level of learning motivation in the control class using conventional learning was in the moderate category with an average score of 54.84; (b) the level of learning motivation in the experimental class after the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the The Learning Cell type was in a higher category than the control class, with an average score of 68.30; (c) based on inferential analysis using the Independent Sample t-Test, there was a significant difference in learning motivation between students in the experimental class (VA) and the control class (VB), as indicated by the value of tcount 6.798 > ttable 2.02619, therefore the research hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the The Learning Cell type has a significant effect on the science and social studies (IPAS) learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 12/79 Toro, Bone Regency.

Abstract

Studi kasus ini mengeksplorasi pengambilan keputusan guru dalam kegiatan membaca terbimbing bersama pembelajar Bahasa Inggris di sebuah sekolah pedesaan di Indonesia. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca terbimbing di daerah pedesaan dengan keterbatasan akses terhadap buku di kelas dapat menimbulkan tantangan bagi guru, terutama ketika harus membimbing sekelompok kecil siswa sementara siswa lainnya melakukan kegiatan membaca mandiri. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara, peneliti menemukan bahwa guru dalam penelitian ini membuat berbagai keputusan dan melakukan penyesuaian terhadap langkah-langkah pembelajaran membaca terbimbing untuk pembelajara Bahasa Inggris. Keputusan tersebut meliputi pemberian pembelajaran secara klasikal, penggunaan video dan pertanyaan untuk melibatkan siswa serta mengaktifkan pengetahuan awal mereka, mengaitkan pembelajaran membaca terbimbing dengan pengajaran bahasa Inggris, serta menjelaskan jenis teks, struktur teks, dan ciri kebahasaan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Keputusan-keputusan tersebut didasarkan pada pengalaman guru serta pemahaman terhadap karakteristik siswa dan tuntutan kurikulum. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya keputusan guru yang reflektif dalam menyesuaikan pembelajaran literasi seperti membaca terbimbing untuk membantu siswa-siswi di daerah pedesaan dengan keterbatasan akses terhadap buku.
