Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is one of the Indonesian government's social policies aimed at improving public nutrition while reducing the economic burden of poor households. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the MBG policy in improving the welfare of poor communities. The method used in this article is qualitative descriptive with literature review and limited interview approaches. The study findings indicate that the MBG program contributes to reducing daily food expenses, increasing children's nutritional intake, and supporting educational participation among low-income families. However, several challenges remain, including unequal food distribution, menu quality control, and implementation supervision. The interview with a resident in Sukarame also showed that the program helped reduce household expenses and improved children's enthusiasm for attending school. This study concludes that the MBG program has positive potential in supporting social welfare if implemented consistently and transparently.

The number of cases in Indonesia is estimated at around 1.8 million cases in 2022. Based on data in West Sumatra Province in 2024 there were 69,659 cases of infectious skin diseases. In Pariaman City in 2025 there were 2,400 cases of scabies. At Naras Community Health Center in 2025 there were 65 cases of scabies. The purpose of this study is to understand and apply family nursing care to patients with scabies. Scabies is a skin disease caused by the small mite Sarcoptes scabiei that lives in the skin of the sufferer. This study used a case study method conducted at Naras Community Health Center from March 8 to March 13, 2026. The results of the study on An. I showed three nursing diagnoses, namely impaired skin integrity, disturbed sleep patterns, and knowledge deficit. The interventions provided included scabies education, skin integrity care, the use of aloe vera and coconut oil as supportive therapy, the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS), and prevention of transmission within the family. An. I's family was able to implement the given implementation. Based on the case study conducted, it can be concluded that the implementation of nursing care for 6 days found 3 well-controlled nursing problems. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for authors, educational institutions, families, and health workers in improving the understanding and quality of family nursing care for patients with scabies. Abstract

Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by hyperglycemia due to impaired insulin secretion or resistance. The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) reported that in 2021 there were 537 million people with diabetes in the world and is projected to increase to 643 million in 2030 and 783 million in 2045. At Padang Pariaman Regional Hospital, Type II Diabetes Mellitus cases are among the top 10 diseases with a total of 515 cases in 2023, increasing to 661 cases in 2024, and 567 cases in 2025. This study used a case study method on Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients in the Internal Room of Padang Pariaman Regional Hospital in 2026 with a nursing process approach. The results of the assessment on Mrs. S showed complaints of weakness, nausea, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, and a random blood sugar level of 259 mg/dl. Four nursing diagnoses were found, namely unstable blood glucose levels, acute pain, nausea, and risk of nutritional deficit. Interventions included blood glucose monitoring, hyperglycemia management, pain and nausea management, and nutritional needs. Conclusions indicate that comprehensive nursing care can improve patient conditions, characterized by lower blood glucose levels, fewer complaints, and increased appetite.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply understand the experiences of adolescence as a factor in shaping the personality of individuals with Bipolar Disorder. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was used to explore the meaning of the participants' subjective experiences. The three participants were two women and one man who had been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and were university students. Data collection techniques used semi-structured in-depth interviews and field notes. Data analysis was conducted through reflexive thematic analysis with the stages of data familiarization, coding, theme formation, review, definition, and writing. Data validity was maintained through source and time triangulation and member checking. The results identified four main themes: (1) stressful family relationship dynamics, (2) peer experiences that shape social relationship patterns, (3) unmanaged emotional turmoil, and (4) the process of meaning-making and self-adaptation. Findings indicate that adolescent experiences, particularly inconsistent parenting patterns, family conflict, and peer pressure, significantly contributed to shaping the participants' personalities, making them emotionally sensitive, wary of social relationships, yet resilient in the face of adversity.

Abstract

Based on data from the world health organization (WHO) in 2024, the prevalence of gout worldwide is 34,2%. In southeast asia, the prevalence of gout has reached 13 – 25% over the past 10 years. About 35% of gout ceses occur in men over 45 years old. The prevalence of gout among individuals aged 65 to 74 years is 51,9% and 54,8% the those aged 75 years. Gout arthritis is a condition in which there is excessive accumulation of uric acid in the body. Uric acid can potentially cause infection when tophi rupture, kidney failure, hypertension, and heart disease, leading to pain. If the pain is not treated promptly, it can result in disability in daily activity. The purpose of this study is to enable researchers to provide nursing care for elderly patients with gout. The research method used is a case study, in which the researcher selected one patient as a sample and applied nursing care. After assessment, the nursing diagnoses obtained were chronic pain, impaired physical mobility, and risk of falls. The interventions implemented included pain management, mobility support, fall prevention, and nursing implementation according to the planned care. After 5 days of implementation, the results showed reduced pain, decreased uric acid levels, and improved walking patterns. It is expected that patients will take medication regularly, routinely attend health check ups at the institution, and adopt a healthy lifestyle such as maintaining a proper diet, regular sleep, and adequate exercise according to their needs, as well as avoiding foods that mmay worsen their condition such as legumes, coconut milk, and green vegetables.

Abstract

Hallucinations are a client's false perception through the five senses of an environment without any real stimulus or stimulation. According to WHO data from 2023, the prevalence of mental disorders worldwide was 970 million individuals worldwide. This data increased in 2024 to exceed 1.1 billion people. This increase in prevalence confirms that the global burden on mental health is increasingly severe. Based on initial data obtained from Prof. HB. Saanin Mental Hospital, Padang, the most common problem in 2025 was hallucinations, with 6,062 patients. This study aims to implement Mental Health Nursing Care for Mr. K with Hallucinations at Wisma Flamboyan, Prof. HB. Saanin Mental Hospital, Padang. The implementation of Nursing Care for Mr. K was conducted on February 4 to February 10, 2025 with a visit of six days of meetings. The method of this Scientific Paper is a Case Study. The results of the provision of Mental Nursing Care were obtained that Mr. K was able to control Hallucinations independently by using the implementation strategy (SP), namely SP 14. Abstract

Risk of Violent Behavior is a condition where a person commits an act that can be physically dangerous, both to themselves and others, accompanied by uncontrolled rage, noise, and anxiety. Based on medical record data from Prof. HB. Sa'anin Mental Hospital Padang, the nursing diagnosis of Risk of Violent Behavior is still high, namely in 2023 there were 213 cases, in 2024 there were 138 cases, and in 2025 there were 159 cases. The purpose of this case study is to obtain an overview of the implementation of psychiatric nursing care for patients with Risk of Violent Behavior. The method used is a descriptive case study with a nursing process approach including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Nursing actions are given through deep breathing exercises, hitting pillows, education on taking medication regularly, good verbal communication, and spiritual activities. The results show that patients are calmer, more cooperative, able to control anger, do not speak harshly, and are compliant in taking medication. It can be concluded that psychiatric nursing care is effective in reducing signs and symptoms of the risk of violent behavior. It is hoped that nurses and families will play an active role in preventing recurrence.
