Abstract

This study is motivated by the efforts of SMA Negeri 3 Solok in procuring audio-visual multimedia equipment. The purpose of this research is to describe the management process of audio-visual multimedia equipment procurement at SMA Negeri 3 Solok, which includes planning, organizing, implementation, and supporting factors. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation study. Data validity was examined using source, technique, and time triangulation. Data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that: (1) The planning of audio visual multimedia equipment procurement was carried out through needs identification and internal deliberation; (2) Organizing was implemented through competency based task distribution without forming a formal bureaucratic structure; (3) The procurement implementation was conducted through a grant funding mechanism with stages of proposal submission, communication, and physical verification upon goods receipt; (4) The main supporting factors were leadership commitment, human resource competence, and the availability of grant funds.

Abstract

Reading literacy skills are the cornerstone of successful learning; however, student literacy levels in Indonesia remain relatively low according to PISA studies. This study aims to describe curriculum strategies for improving students’ reading literacy skills and to identify challenges and solutions at SMP Negeri 6 Palembang. The research method used was qualitative descriptive through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that curriculum strategies are implemented through the teacher’s role as a facilitator by integrating literacy into every stage of learning, applying active methods (discussion, question-and-answer sessions, presentations), and a15-minute daily reading program. The main challenges identified include low student interest in reading, limited library facilities, and teaching methods that are sometimes still conventional. The solutions implemented include providing contextual reading materials, literacy-based assignments, and utilizing technology as an alternative learning resource.

Abstract

Employee performance is an important factor in supporting the effectiveness of public sector organizations, including regional education institutions. One factor that is assumed to influence employee performance is leadership style. This study aimed to determine and analyze the effect of leadership style on employee performance at the Department of Education and Culture of Bukittinggi City. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The population consisted of 72 employees, with 61 respondents selected using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests, and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The results indicated that leadership style had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05. The leadership style variable obtained a Respondent Achievement Level score of 81.80% and was categorized as good, while employee performance obtained a score of 85.20% and was also categorized as good. The coefficient of determination showed that leadership style contributed 13.2% to employee performance, while the remaining 86.8% was influenced by other factors outside this study. The novelty of this study lies in the use of the behavioral approach in examining leadership style within the context of regional educational organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trends, strategies, and implications of digital and data-driven educational budgeting on learning quality improvement through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. Literature was regularly retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, ERIC, Semantic Scholar, and SINTA databases covering publications from 2019 to 2025. Following the screening and eligibility process, 18 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic synthesis. The findings reveal three major themes. First, the digital transformation of budgeting documents through data-based RKAS and ARKAS enhances transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of educational resource allocation. Second, the utilization of big data analytics and artificial intelligence in educational financial planning enables more predictive, accurate, and responsive decision-making processes aligned with learning needs. Third, data-driven budgeting demonstrates a positive relationship with learning quality improvement by optimizing resource allocation toward priority educational programs. The review further indicates that the success of data-driven budgeting depends not only on technological adoption but also on human resource capacity, organizational culture, and supportive policy environments. This study reinforces the theory of data-based decision making and proposes the concept of budgeting as a pedagogical policy instrument in contemporary educational management. .

Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam manajemen organisasi karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap efektivitas kebijakan, kinerja lembaga, serta pencapaian tujuan organisasi. Dalam perkembangan organisasi modern, proses pengambilan keputusan tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor rasional, tetapi juga oleh kepemimpinan, dinamika sosial organisasi, serta pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Oleh karena itu, kajian literatur yang komprehensif diperlukan untuk memahami perkembangan penelitian serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren penelitian mengenai pengambilan keputusan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang mempengaruhi proses tersebut. Pertanyaan penelitian dalam kajian ini adalah: (1) bagaimana perkembangan penelitian tentang pengambilan keputusan dalam berbagai bidang organisasi, dan (2) faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi proses pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tiga tema utama, yaitu peran kepemimpinan dalam pengambilan keputusan, pengaruh faktor sosial dan psikologis, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dan sistem informasi dalam mendukung keputusan. Kajian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai proses pengambilan keputusan serta membuka peluang penelitian lanjutan terkait integrasi faktor kepemimpinan, organisasi, dan teknologi dalam pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kebutuhan (needs) dan keinginan (wants) sebagai dasar perencanaan konsep manajemen pemasaran. Kebutuhan dan keinginan merupakan elemen utama yang memengaruhi perilaku konsumen serta menjadi landasan bagi perusahaan dalam merancang strategi pemasaran yang efektif. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research) melalui pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber literatur berupa buku, jurnal ilmiah, artikel akademik, dan dokumen pendukung yang relevan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis) untuk mengidentifikasi, mengkaji, dan menginterpretasikan konsep-konsep yang berkaitan dengan kebutuhan, keinginan, dan perencanaan pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menentukan arah perencanaan pemasaran, mulai dari segmentasi pasar, pengembangan produk, penciptaan nilai pelanggan, hingga penyusunan strategi pemasaran yang berorientasi pada konsumen. Selain itu, perkembangan teknologi digital semakin menuntut perusahaan untuk memahami perubahan kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen secara berkelanjutan. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen menjadi faktor kunci dalam menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif serta meningkatkan keberhasilan implementasi manajemen pemasaran.

Abstract

The increasing demands of public services, bureaucratic complexity, high workloads, and digital transformation place growing pressure on Civil State Apparatus (ASN), potentially causing work stress that affects performance, service quality, and local government organizational goals. This study analyzes work stress among ASN, its impact on organizational goal achievement, and the role of leadership and organizational environment in reducing it in West Sumatra, using a literature review of academic publications from 2020-2026 with descriptive and thematic synthesis analysis. Results reveal that ASN work stress stems from excessive workload, role ambiguity, work conflict, bureaucratic changes, and organizational conditions, negatively impacting mental health, productivity, service quality, and organizational effectiveness. Conversely, supportive leadership, positive organizational culture, conducive work environment, motivation, and job satisfaction effectively reduce stress levels. These findings affirm that work stress management must become a strategic priority in public sector human resource management to optimize ASN performance and local government goal achievement.

Abstract

The importance of organizational culture in improving employee productivity has become a crucial issue in achieving organizational goals. This study aimed to determine the effect of organizational culture on employee productivity at Ekasakti University and to measure the extent of its contribution to employee productivity. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The population consisted of 83 employees, with a sample of 79 employees selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through simple linear regression. Results: The findings showed that organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.887, indicating a very strong relationship. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.787, meaning that organizational culture contributed 78.7% to employee productivity, while 21.3% was influenced by other factors outside the study. Organizational culture and employee productivity were both categorized as high, with percentages of 90% and 88%, respectively. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence regarding the substantial contribution of organizational culture in enhancing employee productivity within the higher education environment, particularly at Ekasakti University.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the administrative office in improving administrative services at SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. This study employs a qualitative approach using the case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, the head of the administrative office, administrative staff, teachers, and students. The research findings indicate that school administrative staff play a key role in improving school administrative services across five dimensions of service quality: physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. In terms of physical evidence, the school already has adequate administrative facilities, although there are still some shortcomings in terms of infrastructure. In terms of reliability, the administrative staff have carried out their duties in an orderly and meticulous manner, in accordance with procedures. In terms of responsiveness, the administrative staff are quite quick to respond to the administrative needs of the school community. In terms of reliability, the administrative staff demonstrate a professional, polite and responsible attitude. In terms of empathy, the administrative staff are able to provide a friendly and patient service, whilst paying close attention to the needs of service users. The challenges that remain include limited facilities, the use of personal devices by staff, limited archive space, and the need to improve the skills of administrative staff. Consequently, the school administration plays a significant role in ensuring the smooth running of school administrative services.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between work motivation and employee performance at the Pariaman City Education, Youth, and Sports Office. The study employs a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The study population consists of 80 employees, with a sample of 69 respondents selected using the Stratified Proportional Random Sampling technique based on the. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis, normality tests, linearity tests, simple correlation analysis, and t-tests to test the research hypotheses. The results of the study indicate that employee performance falls into the “good” category with an average score of 4.10 and a percentage of 82%, while work motivation falls into the “high” category with an average score of 4.08 and a percentage of 82%. The results of the Product Moment correlation analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.623, classified as strong and positive. Furthermore, the t-test results show that t-calculated = 6.511 > t-table = 1.668 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Pariaman City.
