Abstract

Black cumin has a variety of efficacious substances, one of which is thymoquinon as an immunodulator, its role against Interleukin-4 with the subject of phase 2 clinical trials as an anti-inflammatory cytokine that is by inhibiting prostaglandin type E2 from arachidonic acid through induction resistance to cyclooxigenase-2. Aim to find out how the effect of Black Cumin Seed Oil in increasing levels of Interleukin-4. Randomized Clinical Trial study of 39 healthy participants of active smokers with the age of >18 years. Divided into 4 groups, namely Group 1 given placebo 3x1 capsules/day, group 2,3 and 4 given Black Cumin Seed Oil 3x1,3x2 and 3x3 capsules/day given for 30 days. Percentage il-4 using ELISA method. The results were analyzed using the One Way Annova method, with consecutive p-values (0.281 and 0.860) > 0.05 meaning there were meaningless differences between each treatment group. Based on the average percentage value of Interleukin-4, there was an increase in the MBJH treatment group of 3x1 capsules/day by 16,566% compared to the placebo group of 3x1 capsules/day by 13,995%.

Abstract

Glibenklamid merupakan salah satu obat antidiabetes golongan sulfonilurea yang digunakan dalam penanganan diabetes melitus tipe 2 dan penggunaannya yang jangka panjang sehingga untuk mengetahui efektivitas obat tersebut diperlukan monitoring kadar obat dalam sampel biologis. Secara umum analisis glibenklamid dapat menggunakan metode Solid Phase Extraction (SPE). Salah satu kelemahan SPE yaitu kurang selektif sehingga kemungkinan masih terdapat komponen lain selain analit yang ikut terekstraksi dari matriks sampel. Maka digunakan teknik Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) untuk memperbaiki kekurangan SPE. Tujuan dilakukan review ini untuk mengetahui efisiensi penggunaan MIP sebagai metode pemisahan glibenklamid dari berbagai matriks sampel biologis. Review artikel ini dilakukan dengan menelusuri dan mengkaji jurnal ilmiah nasional maupun internasional tentang MIP-SPE yang diperoleh dari situs google.com, Google Scholar, Science Direct, ResearchGate dan PubMed. Berdasarkan hasil review, rata-rata nilai % recovery MIP-SPE lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan SPE. Penggunaan MIP sebagai metode pemisahan glibenklamid dari berbagai matriks sampel biologis lebih efisien.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 hingga saat ini masih mewabah di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Kasus positif COVID-19 per-tanggal 22 juli 2021, di Indonesia sebanyak 3.033.339 jiwa dengan angka kematian 79.032 jiwa. Imunostimulan merupakan zat yang dapat meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh terhadap infeksi, termasuk untuk menangkal infeksi virus corona. Imunostimulan dapat berasal dari bahan sintetis atau bahan alam. Tanaman famili Malvaceae sering digunakan sebagai obat tradisional untuk mengobati diare, batuk, dan menjaga daya tahan tubuh. Review artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai famili Malvaceae yang memiliki aktivitas imunostimulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam review artikel yaitu studi literatur secara online melalui berbagai database seperti Google Scholar, PubMed, dan ScienceDirect. Hasil review menunjukan tanaman Abelmoschus esculentus, Abelmoschus manihot L., Hibiscus sabdarifa L., Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L., Sterculia villosa Roxb., Luehea divaricata Mart. & Zucc., dan Sida cordifolia, menunjukan aktivitas imunostimulan. Spesies paling berpotensi sebagai agen imunostimulan, yaitu Sterculia villosa Roxb., karena mampu meningkatkan berbagai mediator dan sitokin pada sistem imun, serta telah dilakukan pengujian secara in vitro, in vivo, dan in silico terhadap senyawa lupeol dari Sterculia villosa Roxb., yang mampu meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh terhadap infeksi.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of chronic diseases with high treatment cost. Purpose of this research was to analyze the cost-effectiveness of (Prolanis) for patients with type 2 DM and to establish the most significance parameter affecting the cost-effectiveness value. This study is a non-experimental retrospective by collecting medical record data of Prolanis patients with type 2 DM at Bandung Health Center during 2015 and 2016 with 246 samples that met the inclusion criteria. Cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted by calculating Average Cost Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) and Incremental Cost Effectiveness Ratio (ICER). In particular, sensitivity analysis was conducted to investigate the most significance parameter affecting those ratios. The result of unpaired t test confirmed that there was not significance difference on ACER values of 2015 and 2016, whereas the value of arithmetic (0,202) < t table (4,303) with significance value ? 0,04 <0,05. The implementation of Prolanis in 2015 (ACER = Rp. 1.095,97) seemed to be more cost effective than in 2015 (ACER = Rp. 1.268,96). Cost of biguanida drugs is the most influential factor affecting the cost-effectiveness values of Prolanis implementation in patients with type 2 DM in 2015 and 2016.

Abstract

Abstract Flu with various symptoms can be caused by infection or allergies. This case report focuses on the management of pseudoephedrine side effects in pediatric ISPA patients receiving polypharmacy therapy. An 8-year-old female patient came to the doctor to practice coughing, colds and fever for 2 days. The patient was then given Puyer containing amoxicillin 200 mg and Puyer for symptomatic symptoms containing paracetamol 200 mg, mebhydrolin napadisylate 50 mg 1/3 tablet, amboroxol 6 mg, dexamethasone 0.5 mg 1/3 tablet, pseudoephedrine HCL 60 mg and triprolidine. HCL 2.5 mg 1/4 tablet with the use of 3×1 for 15 powders. After drinking the powder, the patient complained of heart palpitations. abstrak flu dengan berbagai gejalanya dapat disebabkan oleh infeksi ataupun alergi. Laporan kasus ini berfokus pada penanganan efek samping pseudoefedrin pada pasien ISPA anak yang mendapatkan terapi polifarmasi. Pasien anak perembuan umur 8 tahun datang ke dokter praktek mengeluhkan batuk, pilek, dan demam sudah 2 hari. Pasien tersebut kemudian diresepkan puyer dengan kandungan amoxicillin 200 mg dan puyer untuk gejala simptomatis dengan kandungan parasetaml 200 mg, mebhydrolin napadisylate 50 mg 1/3 tablet, ambroxol 6 mg, dexamethasone 0.,5 mg 1/3 tablet, pseudoefedrin HCL 60 mg dan triprolidine HCL 2,5 mg 1/4 tablet dengan aturan pemakaian 3×1 untuk 15 puyer. Setelah minum puyer tersebut pasien mengeluhkan jantung berdebar-debar.

Abstract

The polymorphism rs1799732 (-141C) is located in the 5 'promoter region of DRD2, where these SNPs can influence modulation of transcription activity and D2 receptor density. This study aims to provide a literature review of the polymorphism rs1799732 (-141C) because this gene polymorphism is the most common gene polymorphism in the world related to schizophrenia. This gene polymorphism is known to play a role in the variability of response to aripiprazole antipsychotic therapy in schizophrenic patients. The type of review used in this article is in the form of a literature review of 38 literature from various journals and textbooks. Schizophrenia is a disease that can affect the brain. In the brain there is a chemical delivery of messages that will forward messages around the brain. In schizophrenic patients, dopamine is excessive, while dopamine levels play an important role in feelings of pleasure and experiences of different moods. If dopamine levels are imbalanced, sufferers can experience both positive and negative symptoms. The hypothesis states that excessive dopaminergic activity can lead to schizophrenia. The dopaminergic system plays an important role as a modulator of affective and cognitive functions. Dopamine D2 receptor polymorphism is known to be a risk factor for schizophrenia. Polymorphisms are determinants of clinical symptoms and can play a role in the effectiveness and side effects of antipsychotics, including aripiprazole. Aripiprazole is a second-generation antipsychotic, an antipsychotic with partial agonist activity against dopamine D2.

Abstract

Penggunaan buah pisang dan nanas yang banyak untuk berbagai olahan makanan akan menghasilkan penumpukan limbah kulit. Limbah kulit pisang dan nanas diketahui mengandung unsur kalium yang dapat diolah kembali untuk menjadi produk yang bermanfaat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat kadar kalium terhadap ekstrak kombinasi kulit pisang dan kulit nanas dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer serapan atom. Metode: pembuatan ekstrak kental dilakukan dengan metode infundasi atau infusa yang dikeringkan. Ekstrak kental didestruksi dengan cara pengabuan menggunakan tanur. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian kadar kalium menggunakan spektrofotometer serapan atom pada panjang gelombang 766,5 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kalium pada ekstrak kental didapatkan sebanyak 47,483 mg/g ekstrak. Kesimpulan: ekstrak kombinasi kulit pisang dan kulit nanas mengandung kalium yang berpotensi dalam menunjang kebutuhan kalium di dalam tubuh.

Abstract

Ekstrak daun ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas Lamk) varietas Antin-3 (Ekstrak daun Antin-3) yang mengandung polifenol dan flavonoid yang memiliki kemampuan sebagai antioksidan. Polifenol dan Flavonoid memiliki bioavailabilitas yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkecil ukuran partikel ekstrak menjadi nanopartikel sehingga penyerapan saluran cerna dapat meningkat serta evaluasi fisiknya untuk memastikan partikel nano seperti ukuran partikel (10-1.000 nm), indeks polidispersitas (PDI) ( < 0,5) dan nilai potensial zeta (±20mV sampai ±-30mV). Formulasi ekstrak nano dengan metode gelasi ionik menggunakan kitosan: NaTPP. Ada tiga Tiga sampel yang diteliti (F1:F2:F3) yaitu dengan perbandingan ekstrak daun Antin-3:kitosan:NaTPP (1:1:1 ); (1:5:1); (1:10:1). Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan PSA (Particle Size Analyzer). Hasil evaluasi sampel (F1:F2:F3) menggunakan PSA (Particle Size Analyzer) untuk ukuran partikel berturut-turut (1.482 nm; 564,38 nm; 734,36 nm); untuk PdI berturut-turut (0,3482; 0,4272; 0,381) dan untuk nilai potensial zeta masing-masing (5,19mV; 21,57mV; 33,4mV). F3 merupakan sampel yang memenuhi kriteria ukuran partikel, PdI dengan nilai zeta potensial

Abstract

Wet noodles have a short shelf life because they are spoiled more quickly by microorganisms. Therefore, some irresponsible wet noodle producers add formalin so that the noodles can last longer. However, formalin is a substance that is prohibited from being used because it is dangerous to health. In this research, an instrument has been made that can detect formalin levels in wet noodles which have formalin concentrations of 0 ppm, 40 ppm, 95 ppm and 150 ppm. The instrument consists of a TCS3200 color sensor and an ATmega328P microcontroller. The color detected by the TCS3200 sensor is the color from mixing the formalin wet noodle sample withreagent schiff's. Furthermore, the sample will be selected by the instrument based on the RGB color value detected by the TCS3200 color sensor. The test results obtained the reliability of the instrument in selecting the sample of formalin wet noodles with a concentration of 0 ppm worth 92.5%, 40 ppm worth 95%, 95 ppm worth 97.5% and 150 ppm worth 100%.
