Abstract

This study aims to analyze the empowerment of the Muslim community through the use of Village Funds in Aek Tapa Village, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with  the Triple Helix  model which involves synergy between the government, the community, and academics. Primary data was obtained through interviews with village officials, while secondary data came from the 2024 APBDes realization document and related literature. Data collection techniques include literature studies, documentation, and field research. The results of the study show that the use of Village Funds in Aek Tapa Village has significantly improved the quality of life of the Muslim community. The programs implemented, such as infrastructure development, entrepreneurship training, and empowerment of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), have contributed to increasing household income and community participation in economic activities. In addition, the strengthening of Islamic values is also reflected through the construction of informal educational institutions, such as Madrasah Diniyah and TPA, as well as the implementation of religion-based social programs. However, there are several challenges, such as lack of community participation in program planning and limited capacity of village governments in managing funds optimally. To overcome this obstacle, it is necessary to increase community involvement, fund management training for village officials, and develop a better monitoring and evaluation system. Triple Helix Proven Approach effective in improving community welfare through inclusive and sustainable management of Village Funds.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the key determinants influencing community participation in halal tourism development in Puncak Koto Panjang, Pasaman Regency, Indonesia. Given the increasing prominence of halal tourism, understanding socio-economic and cultural factors affecting local engagement is crucial for sustainable development. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS 25. Data were collected from 383 respondents, consisting of key stakeholders in the tourism sector. The research assessed five independent variables: economic factors, leadership, motivation, education, and socio-cultural aspects. The results indicate that economic (t = 1.830, p < 0.05), education (t = 5.998, p < 0.05), and socio-cultural factors (t = 5.303, p < 0.05) significantly influence the development of halal tourism. However, leadership and motivation factors were found to be statistically insignificant. These findings suggest that financial stability, educational awareness, and cultural preservation play a vital role in fostering sustainable halal tourism.  This study provides empirical evidence for policymakers and tourism stakeholders to formulate effective strategies. Encouraging economic growth, enhancing community education, and integrating cultural heritage into tourism initiatives can boost community participation. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing an empirical analysis of community engagement in halal tourism, particularly in an emerging market context. The findings emphasize the significance of socio-economic and cultural dimensions in sustaining halal tourism destinations.

Abstract

The dual banking system in Indonesia, which allows both conventional and Islamic banking to operate side by side, raises fundamental questions about the sustainability and development of Islamic finance. This study explores the challenges and opportunities of Islamic banking in this system by analyzing the legal, regulatory, and economic frameworks that shape its growth. While Islamic banking is supported by Sharia principles, its operational flexibility is often constrained by regulations that align more closely with conventional banking structures. This paper examines the effectiveness of the current legal framework in fostering a level playing field for Islamic banks, evaluates the impact of government policies, and assesses the economic competitiveness of Islamic finance. The findings suggest that regulatory adjustments, increased financial literacy, and stronger institutional support are necessary for Islamic banking to thrive within the dual banking system. The study concludes with recommendations for policymakers to harmonize legal and economic policies to create a more conducive environment for Islamic banking.

Abstract

The Junok pindang milkfish product has a distinctive taste, different from other pindang milkfish. However, until now, its production has not been widely developed and is only known from generation to generation. This study was conducted to determine the level of welfare of its producers and the development of businesses based on the halal blue economy. This study used a qualitative methodology. The main data collection used interviews and direct observation. The analysis process used the theory of Miles and Huberman with data collection, reduction, display, verification, and concluding testing of the validity of the data. The results of the study indicate that the welfare of producers is generally achieved through indicators of fulfilling food, clothing, and housing needs, although at the level of fulfilling health and higher education needs, it is still not optimal due to limited infrastructure and public awareness. The development of producer businesses can be seen from the increase in income, quality of life, and the creation of new jobs, but this development has not been fully maximized to support the objectives of developing industrial centers based on the halal blue economy, including the need for assistance in the halal certification of pindang milkfish products

Abstract

The issue of faith is the most vital and decisive matter for human beings and must be studied earnestly especially in this modern age of rapid transformation that has brought change to every aspect of human life. In a globalized era marked by a materialistic worldview, faith has weakened and is increasingly absent from human life. Against this backdrop, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi has made significant efforts to link faith with human existence and to respond to the threats posed by materialism. Through a qualitative content analysis based on library research and the framework of contemporary Islamic theology (‘Ilm al-Kalām al-Jadīd), this study arrives at the following conclusions: First, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s efforts to integrate faith into daily life are evident in his articulation of the essence of faith and its impact on individuals and society. Second, his critique of materialism includes a clarification of the nature of science and an exploration of the relationship between faith and psychological well-being, reason, freedom, and human actions. Third, he emphasized that faith is a fundamental foundation of Islamic humanism

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of spiritual and social intelligence as a foundation for fostering tolerance in multicultural societies, particularly in the Indonesian context. Using a qualitative, library-based research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study synthesizes key theories and prior research on spirituality, social competence, and multicultural education. The findings show that spiritual intelligence—characterized by self-reflection, transcendental awareness, and universal values such as compassion and justice—provides an essential moral foundation. However, these values require the support of social intelligence—empathy, communication skills, and cultural sensitivity—to be effectively translated into inclusive social interactions. The integration of these two forms of intelligence forms a synergistic framework that strengthens tolerant character formation and supports peaceful coexistence across diverse identities. The study concludes that fostering tolerance requires not only legal and structural measures but also cultural and educational strategies that integrate spiritual reflection with social skills training. Practically, the findings suggest that character education, interfaith learning spaces, and multicultural training programs can serve as effective platforms to nurture inclusive citizenship in plural societies.

Abstract

Diversity is proof of God's power that must be accepted by all of creation. However, diversity becomes the embryo of division because of differences in vision, mission, and even beliefs, due to the absence of a common thread connecting one to another. Added to this is a textual understanding of religion that gives rise to religious fanaticism and exclusivism. This paper aims to find solutions to realize the harmonization of diversity in society through religious inclusiveness based on neo-Sufism. The research method used is a literature study with data collection techniques based on documents (articles, books, religious texts, electronic media) that support this theme, and data analysis techniques using induction and interpretation. The results show that with the neo-Sufism approach, a person's religious inclusion does not only stop at the mind (knowledge) but also reaches the heart (feelings), so that tolerance, empathy, compassion, mutual assistance, and social solidarity arise sincerely, selflessly, and without any interests. This inclusive attitude will not change when situations and conditions change. This means that neo-Sufism-based religious inclusiveness educates people to respect others (even if they are different) with sincere attention and compassion after going through Sufi spiritual processes and stages. This model can be practiced in real life when living side by side in diversity, in interfaith dialogue, working in heterogeneous places (religion, ethnicity, etc.), and also for government officials who are indeed servants of the people universally. This can be a recommendation to policymakers and community leaders to educate the public to be more moderate (inclusive) in their religious practices by making Sufi values a model in the midst of a diverse society

Abstract

Religious education in public schools plays an important role in shaping the spiritual, ethical, and moral character of students, but its implementation faces a number of complex obstacles. This study aims to identify various challenges in religious education in public schools, particularly time constraints, and to offer relevant solutions to optimize its implementation. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing literature from national journals, proceedings, and scientific books over the last ten years to obtain a comprehensive picture of this issue. The results of the analysis show that time constraints are a major factor affecting the depth of students' understanding of religious values, as limited class hours often make the learning process formal and fail to touch on affective and applicative aspects. Other significant challenges include low student interest and motivation to learn, limited digital learning facilities that can support creativity, and limited teacher competence in developing innovative contextual methods. In addition, the multicultural factor in the form of diversity in students' cultural and religious backgrounds requires a high level of sensitivity so that religious education remains inclusive and harmonious. The conclusion findings of this study demonstrate that enhancing the quality of religious education necessitates a multifaceted approach that extends beyond mere augmentation of instructional hours. Achieving this objective necessitates a multifaceted approach, encompassing comprehensive support from various stakeholders, including teachers, schools, families, and policymakers

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Ruwah Desa tradition in Kedungpapar Village as a form of local wisdom that strengthens the community’s social, cultural, psychological, mystical, and religious life. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed thematically to explore the meaning and function of the tradition. Findings reveal that Ruwah Desa plays a crucial role in preserving cultural identity, reinforcing social solidarity, and fostering a sense of security and togetherness. Moreover, it embodies mystical dimensions believed to maintain balance between humans and unseen forces, as well as religious dimensions expressed in gratitude to God and respect for ancestors. Thus, Ruwah Desa in Kedungpapar is not merely an annual ritual but also a medium for cultural preservation, value transmission, and the strengthening of social harmony that remains relevant amid contemporary life dynamics
