Abstract

Abstract: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy, contributing significantly to GDP and employment. However, they face challenges in accessing formal financing, particularly through the People’s Business Credit (KUR), due to limited legality, poor financial records, and low financial and digital literacy. This study analyzes the government’s role in supporting MSMEs through financing access and digital transformation, using a qualitative descriptive approach involving interviews, observations, and documentation with MSMEs and Bank BRI in Mendalo Darat, Muaro Jambi. Findings show most MSMEs struggle to access KUR due to administrative barriers and limited guidance. Digitalization offers a strategic alternative, though hindered by limited access and skills. Government initiatives such as digital training, OSS, and financing support are essential in boosting MSME competitiveness. The study concludes that synergy between financing and digitalization policies is crucial for inclusive, sustainable MSME growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the fuel price increase, triggered by the surge in global oil prices and subsidy reduction policies, on the production, distribution, and transportation costs of MSMEs. The methodology employed is a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews and field observations. The results indicate that the rise in fuel prices led to increased operational costs, decreased purchasing power of the community, and reduced sales and profitability of MSMEs. MSME operators responded with various adaptation strategies, such as reducing the portion or quality of materials, holding prices steady, and seeking alternative suppliers. Although fuel prices have stabilized, the residual effects of the previous price increases are still felt, with cost structures remaining high. This research emphasizes the importance of the government's role in providing support and protection for MSMEs, as well as the need for national energy policies that consider local realities to create better social and economic justice.

Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of residents in Keranggan Village regarding the Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT-DD) program and its impact on household economic conditions. The research is driven by the need to evaluate the effectiveness of social assistance policies amid persistent economic vulnerabilities, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objective is to understand how beneficiaries perceive the BLT-DD program and to assess its role in supporting their economic well-being. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews and field observations with four beneficiaries and one village official. The findings reveal that the BLT-DD program is widely perceived as beneficial, especially in meeting daily basic needs among low-income families and elderly individuals. Some recipients also used the funds as capital for small-scale businesses. Although the assistance is seen as well-targeted and transparently administered, concerns remain about its sustainability in promoting long-term economic welfare. Beneficiaries expressed the need for complementary economic empowerment programs to reduce dependency on aid. Overall, the study suggests that while BLT-DD serves as a valuable short-term social protection mechanism, its long-term impact could be significantly enhanced through integrated and sustainable policy support.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students’ experiences in the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in the Economics Education Study Program at the University of Jambi. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this research investigates students’ direct experiences through interviews, observations, and project documentation analysis. The findings show that students engaged in PjBL gain broader learning opportunities and experiences that foster creativity, encourage active participation, and enhance collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The study also reveals several challenges in PjBL, including unequal contributions among group members, limited time, coordination difficulties within groups, and insufficient learning resources, all of which may affect the quality of the projects produced, as well as the need for more intensive guidance from lecturers. The implementation of PjBL is influenced by lecturer readiness, student abilities, institutional support, and careful planning.

Abstract

This qualitative case study research aims to analyze the mechanism and effectiveness of the Money Manager Application as a Technology-Enhanced Learning Tool (T-E Learning Tool) in fostering Financial Discipline among 6 students of the Economics Education Study Program at Jambi University, emphasizing its relevance within Digital-Based Economics Learning. The research procedure involved three phases: Pre Intervention, 14-day Intervention, and Post Intervention. Data were collected primarily through in-depth interviews and observational documentation, and subsequently analyzed using Descriptive Content Analysis to identify narrative findings. The results indicate that the Money Manager Application effectively overcame student behavioral barriers (such as laziness and inconvenience) and served as a practical learning tool that facilitated the comprehension of financial management concepts. The key finding resides in the mechanism of Instant Visual Feedback provided by the application; this feature triggered self-evaluation and accountability, thus significantly improving students' control and allocation of financial resources. It is concluded that this digital application is a powerful catalyst in achieving the goals of Digital-Based Economics Learning concerning Financial Discipline formation. Formal integration of similar digital tools into the curriculum is recommended, along with necessary technical improvements and minimization of disruptions (advertisements) to maximize its pedagogical potential.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of flash sales and FOMO on the purchasing behavior of basic skincare among university students. Using a quantitative approach with descriptive and correlational methods, data were collected via online questionnaires using a 1-5 Likert scale distributed to 46 students of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, and multiple linear regression. Results indicate that flash sales have a positive and significant effect on purchasing behavior (β = 0.332; p = 0.002), while FOMO does not (β = 0.096; p = 0.299). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence purchasing behavior (F = 5.697; p = 0.006), yet explain only 17.3% of the variance (Adjusted R² = 0.173). Findings suggest students respond more to price-based promotions than emotional or social pressure, viewing basic skincare as a functional need driven by rational factors like price and suitability.
