Abstract

Islamic Education must engage in dialogue with the dynamics of social life and technological developments. Through the modernization and democratization of Islamic Education, Azyumardi Azra offers an educational construction that can face the challenges of modernity by adhering to the values and teachings of the Islamic religion. This research aims to reveal Azyumardi Azra's views and conception of Islamic Education and their implications for the construction of Islamic Education. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The results of this study indicate that Islamic Education in Azra's view, must be oriented towards the formation and development of children's personality based on the teachings of Islam. Not only that, Islamic Education must also be designed considering students' competence in mastering science and technology. In this way, it can carry out its function of preparing human resources thoroughly. To modernize and democratize Education, Azra offers several strategic steps, including; ideological-normative, political, economic, social, and cultural mobilization. At the same time, Azra also uncovered several variables that must become a modernization agenda: administrative modernization, subcultural modernization, and capacity expansion. In addition, according to Azra, efforts to democratize Education are more to make the education system more just, inclusive, and participatory. According to him, the democratization of Education is a process of social change that aims to make the education system more equitable and of better quality for all citizens. He believes that democratization in Education can be characterized by three key aspects. Firstly, it involves having a flexible curriculum that allows students to express their creativity. Secondly, there is a shift in the paradigm of Islamic Education, moving away from an authoritarian approach towards a more democratic one. Lastly, there is a harmonious connection between Islamic educational institutions and the surrounding community, ensuring a synchronized and inclusive learning environment

Abstract

One of the students' accomplishments in learning is influenced by internal factors. Spiritual intelligence is one of the aspects that can impact students’ achievement. Students’ spiritual intelligence is varied. This is a literature review research. The aim of this study is to find out the role of students' spiritual intelligence in learning mathematics. The data collected in the form of data obtained from articles and proceedings taken from the best Google scholar web. Data collection was carried out by going through the stages of planning, searching for articles, and documentation. Based on the data, the researcher then conducted tabulation and in-depth analysis of the collected data. Finally, based on the steps that have been determined, the researcher got the result. The results of the research regarding the role of students' spiritual intelligence in learning mathematics are: 1) students' spiritual intelligence can influence students' motivation to learn mathematics, higher spiritual intelligence will result higher motivation to learn mathematics, 2) higher spiritual intelligence will affect lower students' mathematics anxiety, 3) there is a linear relationship between students' spiritual intelligence and literacy abilities, 4) higher the spiritual intelligence will result higher students' mathematical problem solving abilities, and 5) higher spiritual intelligence will result higher achievement/study of mathematics students

Abstract

which are the center of Islamic education activities to the many developing formal and non-formal educational institutions, including Boarding School and madrasas. Therefore, this study aims to determine the development of Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, the Types of Islamic Education Institutions in Indonesia, the role of Islamic Education Institutions in Islamic boarding schools and madrasas in Indonesia, and the differences between Islamic boarding schools and madrasas. The research method used is literature with documentation data collection techniques. The results of this study show that Islamic boarding schools are the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia which traditional Muslims initially founded. The establishment of Madrasah in Indonesia was driven by two factors: the strengthening of the Islamic renewal movement in Indonesia and the response of Islamic education to the Dutch East Indies' educational policies. Even though they are both Islamic Education Institutions, there are many differences between Boarding School and madrasas, including Boarding School not using a curriculum, madrasah using a curriculum, and so on.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the character of students in everyday life in SD IT throughout Southeast Aceh district. 2) analyzing the implementation of project-based learning in building the character of IT SD students in Southeast Aceh district. 3) analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors of teachers in implementing project-based learning in order to shape the character of IT SD students in Southeast Aceh district. This research is a qualitative research that produces descriptive data. To examine the problems that have been formulated, literature study is used. The research data sources are in the upper groups: 1) The primary data in this study are data obtained from events in the research or from existing witnesses, such as interviews with school principals, teachers, and all relevant participants. 2) Secondary data in this study are documents, articles or relevant scientific work and others related to research. SDIT Aceh Tenggara District is diverse, some have good character such as honesty, discipline, courage, responsibility, and others, but there are also those who are not good, such as lying, lazy, and so on. 2) The implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning with the Project-Based Learning Model at SDIT Aceh Tenggara District is made up of several groups, usually 6 groups, but there can be less than 6 groups because it is adjusted to the number of students present when participating in Islamic Religious Education learning activities in class. So this makes students enjoy learning Islamic Religious Education, it can be seen that students have good motivation to learn in participating in debate activities even though some students are busy alone, some are playing alone, and so on, however, students and teachers remain enthusiastic in problem-based learning in the classroom. 3) Supporting factors in implementing project-based learning in building character at SDIT Aceh Tenggara include: a) Subject teachers who are professionals in their fields. b) There is student enthusiasm in participating in project-based learning, c) Positive student motivation, and adequate educational facilities. While the inhibiting factors include: a) Obstacles that arise from students are not many students who are able to think critically and do not dare to express their opinions. b) Teachers who do not understand the Project-Based Learning method. c) Lack of teacher motivation and enthusiasm in teaching, d) Lack of teacher ability to lead students to a problem. e) Barriers related to learning time.

Abstract

This research raises the issue of Hamka's thoughts regarding the criteria for educators in terms of his tafsir book. The book of exegesis written certainly contains tendencies and influences from the thoughts of the author. In this case the author wants to make relevance between his thoughts and his interpretation of Qs. Yūsuf/12:4-6 in Tafsir Al-Azhar. This research is useful to know the various criteria of educators, their perspectives on the interpretation of Qs. Yūsuf/12:4-6 and their relevance to their thoughts about educators. This research is based on literature studies and includes qualitative types (descriptive analysis that is useful for dismantling and finding educator criteria on Hamka's interpretation). The result of this study is in the form of seven criteria educators perspective Hamka in his interpretation of the verse has a relationship with his thoughts about educators.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of the use of puzzle media themes of various sub-theme work in increasing students' learning interest in grade IV B elementary school Amelia Tembung. The research methods used exist; ah qualitative research with case study methods. The object of this study was a class IV B student of Siti Amelia Elementary School which numbered 30 people with 15 male and 15 female. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are by collecting data, clasification data, presenting data, inference and verification. The results showed that the use of puzzle media themes of various sub-theme work in increasing students' learning interest in grade IV B elementary school Amelia Tembung very interesting attention and spirit of students in following the learning even though it is in the last hour. Teachers engage students directly in learning and train students to work in teams to solve the problems provided. Learning using puzzle media can increase students' learning interest. This can be reviewed from the evaluation of indikators of increased learning interest

Abstract

A parenting approach is used by Islamic boarding schools to raise generations with Islamic values. 24-hour complete life education is inextricably linked to the parenting approach used to mold the character of female students. This study aims to describe parenting patterns in shaping the character of female students, which includes parenting patterns in shaping the character of female students and methods for character development for female students at PMD Gontor Putri Campus 1. This study employs descriptive qualitative research methods. Interviews, observation, and documentation are all forms of data collecting, while strategies for data analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing. First, the study's findings indicate that there are four factors that influence parenting success and how it affects how female students behave. Second, in order for parenting styles to be successfully applied in developing students' character, a method must be used. The third strategy is to integrate three educational institutions (family, school, and community education) into one program to accomplish educational objectives in the development of female students' character. This strategy aims to create an integrative, comprehensive, and independent education system.

Abstract

The marketing strategy is the most important part that must be owned by the institution in order to maintain its existence. The rapid competition in the world of education, which causes the pace of global development, continues to demand that educational institutions be more competitive. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study type. Data and data sources were obtained from informants at the Batu Bilingual MA institution through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the marketing strategy implemented by MA Bilingual Batu can be identified by a number of strategies that are relevant to marketing strategies that are generally carried out in the business world. These strategies include product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process. The marketing strategy development carried out by MA Bilingual Batu, namely, the first is the guerrilla strategy (face-to-face, guerrilla strategy, leadership strategy for the Madrasah Principal, uniqueness strategy, strategy for publicising achievements, and strategy for awarding scholarships),

Abstract

Pesantren as the oldest institution in Indonesia has a big responsibility in caring for diversity through national insight and mediation education with a multicultural paradigm. This responsibility can be realized through the education system which is mainly related to the educational curriculum provided by the pesantren. This study seeks to analyze the development of the pesantren curriculum through strengthening national insight, religious moderation, and the multicultural paradigm. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The results of this study indicate that the pesantren curriculum basically includes the hidden curriculum and the core curriculum. The curriculum applied by the pesantren is integrated with the values ​​of love for the homeland, diversity, religious moderation, and a multicultural paradigm. The existence of santri who come from different regions, ethnicities, and ethnicities allows pesantren to carry out a multicultural education system. Fostering human beings with character, morals, having human values, compassion, courtesy, and peace as well as respect for differences are an inseparable part of the applied education pattern. by upholding the value of diversity and difference. Therefore, through the developed curriculum, Islamic boarding schools are able to become educational institutions that are ready to face various challenges in order to avoid the potential for major conflicts with racial issues.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse: 1) children's education material in the Koran surah Luqman verses 12-19 and 2) the relevance of children's education material in the Koran surah Luqman verses 12-19 to current education. The research approach used in this research is qualitative research. This research concerns the concept of children's education in the Qur'an, so the approach used is the approach of education and the science of interpretation through the verses of the Qur'an. This research focuses on the Al-Qur'an surah Luqman, verses 12-19. The results of the research show that: 1) The educational material contained in the Koran, especially in Surah Luqman verses 12-19, basically includes three very fundamental things, namely: (a) education in aqidah/monotheism, namely not associating partners with Allah SWT and teaching that every action will be rewarded by Allah SWT. (b) sharia/worship education, namely the command to establish prayer and gratitude for the blessings of Allah SWT (c) moral education, namely serving parents, educating children not to be arrogant, and educating children to be civilised. 2) The relevance of Children's Education Materials in Al-Qur'an Surah Luqman Verses 12-19 to Current Education can be seen in the method of learning monotheism from an early age, by getting used to hearing the creed, teaching worship (such as prayer) ordered by religion by inviting children to do it, showering children with affection and teaching them to love others and the natural surroundings, and teaching children to serve their parents and respect their elders in words and deeds.
