Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationships among service standards, work culture, and employee performance in customer satisfaction in public services. A quantitative associative approach was employed, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 for data analysis. The study involved 70 institutions representing the entire population of service users. The results indicate that service standards and work culture have positive but not statistically significant effects on customer satisfaction, whereas employee performance has a positive, statistically significant effect. Simultaneously, service standards, work culture, and employee performance have a moderate positive influence on customer satisfaction. These findings imply that improving employee performance should be prioritized to enhance customer satisfaction. At the same time, service standards and work culture need to be strengthened through more effective implementation and organizational development strategies. Strengthening these aspects can support better service quality and increase overall user satisfaction in public services.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has transformed business practices among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), yet its impact on financial performance remains inconclusive. Despite increasing adoption of financial technology and e-commerce, many MSMEs continue to face financial sustainability challenges, as reflected in the rising non-performing loan ratio. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of financial technology, e-commerce adoption, and entrepreneurial skills on the financial performance of MSMEs, incorporating financial literacy and trust as mediating variables. A quantitative approach was employed, using survey data collected from 200 MSME actors in West Java, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that financial technology and entrepreneurial skills have a positive and significant direct effect on financial performance. In contrast, e-commerce adoption does not directly influence performance but becomes significant when mediated by financial literacy and trust. Furthermore, both mediators strengthen the indirect effects of digital adoption and entrepreneurial capabilities on financial outcomes. This study contributes to the literature by highlighting the critical role of cognitive and relational factors in enhancing the effectiveness of digital transformation among MSMEs.

Abstract

This study explores the mediating role of teachers' digital competence in the relationship between curriculum management and smart learning. Using a quantitative, correlational survey design, the study sampled 219 teachers from State Islamic Senior High Schools in Samarinda, selected via simple random sampling. Data were analysed using JASP V.0.16 for simple linear regression and mediation effects. The findings reveal positive and significant relationships between curriculum management and teachers' digital competence, curriculum management and smart learning, and teachers' digital competence and smart learning. Moreover, teachers' digital competence partially mediates the relationship between curriculum management and smart learning. These results highlight that effective curriculum management enhances teachers' readiness to utilise digital technology and directly contributes to the successful implementation of smart learning in madrasahs. This research provides insights into improving curriculum management practices to enhance digital competence and facilitate smart learning.

Abstract

This study examines how employee perceptions, trust, and risk influence technology adoption intentions through attitude, with digital readiness as a moderating variable in the context of higher education institutions. Using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) as a theoretical foundation, the research applies a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on data collected from 195 employees. The findings reveal that employee perception, trust, and risk significantly influence both attitude and technology adoption intention, with attitude serving as a full mediator. Conversely, digital readiness does not significantly moderate the relationship between attitude and adoption intention, suggesting that technical capability alone does not enhance behavioral outcomes without psychological commitment. The study reinforces the importance of attitudinal and cognitive factors in driving digital transformation and provides practical implications for higher education management to strengthen trust, manage perceived risk, and cultivate positive perceptions to foster sustainable digital engagement among employees.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education requires effective academic information systems to support governance and improve teaching quality. One strategic process in faculty resource management is academic rank promotion, which demands a transparent, efficient, and accountable administrative system. This study examines the role of Credit Point Assessment Management Information System (SIM-PAK) implementation quality in shaping faculty satisfaction and enhancing the effectiveness and speed of academic rank promotion processes. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 267 faculty members who have used SIM-PAK. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The results show that SIM-PAK implementation quality positively and significantly affects process effectiveness (β = 0.52; p < 0.001), process speed (β = 0.47; p < 0.001), and faculty satisfaction (β = 0.61; p < 0.001). This study highlights system implementation quality as a key factor in reducing administrative workload, enabling faculty to focus more on teaching innovation and learning development. Practically, universities should prioritize high-quality academic information systems to enhance faculty performance and institutional effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership, social entrepreneurship, and social capital on pesantren performance in East Java through creativity and social value creation. This study employed an explanatory quantitative approach with a causal-predictive design. Data were collected from pesantren leaders and business unit managers and analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.1. The results show that all constructs met the validity and reliability criteria. Transformational leadership, social entrepreneurship, and social capital positively affect creativity, while transformational leadership and social entrepreneurship influence social value creation. The research model explains 61.2% of the variance in pesantren performance. The discussion confirms that creativity serves as the main mechanism that transforms leadership capacity, entrepreneurial orientation, and relational resources into improved institutional performance. In conclusion, pesantren performance is more effectively strengthened through creativity-based organizational innovation than through social value creation, which has not yet been fully measured. The implication is that pesantren need to strengthen governance, social performance indicators, and entrepreneurial management systems. These findings extend the literature on leadership and social entrepreneurship in faith-based organizations and provide empirical relevance for pesantren institutional development.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of servant leadership, gotong royong culture, and knowledge management on teachers' Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with trust and work motivation as mediating variables. A quantitative survey design was used, and data were collected from teachers and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 4.0). The findings indicate that servant leadership, gotong royong culture, and knowledge management have a positive and significant influence on teachers' OCB. In addition, servant leadership and gotong royong culture significantly increase trust, while gotong royong culture and knowledge management positively influence work motivation. Both trust and work motivation were also found to significantly increase teachers' OCB. Furthermore, a mediation analysis indicated that trust and work motivation partially mediate the relationship between servant leadership, gotong royong culture, knowledge management, and teachers' OCB. These results emphasize the importance of integrating leadership practices, local cultural values, and effective knowledge management to foster teachers' extra-role behaviors in educational institutions. This study contributes to the organizational behavior literature in education by highlighting the role of indigenous cultural values, particularly the culture of gotong royong, in strengthening teachers' organizational citizenship behavior (OCB).

Abstract

This study aims to examine how internal greenwashing within Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) affects employee green creativity through the psychological mechanism of green fatigue, while also testing the moderating role of competitive green gamification and group differences based on green value orientation. Drawing on Conservation of Resources (COR) theory and Self-Determination Theory, this study conceptualizes perceived greenwashing as an internal organizational stressor that depletes employees’ psychological resources and weakens intrinsic motivation. A quantitative survey was conducted among 556 hotel employees in the Java–Bali region, Indonesia, using a non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test direct, mediating, moderating, and multigroup effects. The results show that perceived greenwashing increases green fatigue and reduces employee green creativity, both directly and indirectly. Competitive green gamification strengthens the effect of greenwashing on green fatigue. Multigroup analysis further reveals that these effects are stronger among employees with high green value orientation. This study contributes to GHRM literature by shifting the focus from external to internal greenwashing and highlighting its psychological and behavioral consequences.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of murabahah, mudharabah, and musyarakah financing on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) during the 2021–2023 period. Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the relationship between Islamic financing contracts and bank profitability, particularly in the context of participatory financing schemes in Islamic banking institutions. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the comparative influence of major Islamic financing contracts on profitability using quarterly multi-bank data from Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, resulting in three Islamic commercial banks as research samples: PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia, PT Bank Victoria Syariah, and PT BCA Syariah. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that murabahah financing has a negative and significant effect on profitability, mudharabah financing has a positive but insignificant effect, while musyarakah financing has a positive and significant effect on profitability. Simultaneously, murabahah, mudharabah, and musyarakah financing collectively have a significant influence on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks. These findings indicate that financing portfolio composition plays an important role in shaping the financial performance of Islamic banking institutions and highlights the importance of balancing fixed-margin and profit-sharing financing schemes to achieve sustainable profitability.
