This study examines the phenomenon of childfree decisions in remarriage among widows and widowers, particularly within older generations, despite Islam’s emphasis on regeneration through marriage. The research aims to analyze the arguments underlying the choice to remain childfree in remarriage from a gender perspective, focusing on the principle of maslahat (benefit). Employing a qualitative approach with a gender lens, the study utilizes in-depth interviews to collect data from remarried individuals over the age of 50 who have previously been married. The findings reveal that the primary motivations for choosing to remain childfree include having children from previous marriages and prioritizing their upbringing, as well as focusing on career advancement at its peak without the additional responsibility of raising children. From a gender perspective, this choice is perceived as a form of maslahat as it promotes a balanced distribution of responsibilities and partnership within the family. Theoretically, this study contributes to discussions on gender roles in marriage by demonstrating how remarried individuals negotiate parental responsibilities and career aspirations within the framework of maslahat.

This article discusses the direct triple talak found in the film entitled Talak 3 (2016) with criticism and analysis based on the views of conventional scholars and positive law applicable in Indonesia. The film that directed by Hanung Bramantyo and Ismail Basbeth has crucial issues that must be noticed regarding to it practice. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of triple talak and to provide constructive criticism of the law representative in film Talak 3 (2016). The approach used in this study is juridical-normative. The object of the research is the Film Talak 3 (2016), with references to Indonesian positive law in the form of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, and references to Islamic law in the form of the opinions of the imams of the madzhab al-arba’ah, and classical ulama’ that have a different perspective. Apart from the differences in views of the ulama' regarding talak ba'in kubra which is imposed all at once, Indonesian positive law does not explicitly mention this, but in Article 120 of the KHI it is stated that talak ba'in kubra is a divorce that occurs for the third time. Talak ba'in kubra divorce that is pronounced all at once is not included in the category of divorce that is carried out in stages, so that the imposition of talak ba'in kubra divorce all at once is deemed invalid because according to this article, the imposition of talak ba'in kubra divorce must occur in stages. The imposition of a triple divorce means that former couples cannot reconcile unless the woman first marries another man (Muhallil) and then divorces after the dukhul. As conveyed in the film Talak 3 (2016), talak ba’in kubra is raised as part of the storyline, but is not accompanied by an in-depth exploration of its legal practice, and the legal and social consequences attached to this practice. The practice carried out is talak ba’in kubra which is imposed at once, and the legal and social consequences faced after talak ba’in kubra cause both parties to prepare the most perfect scenario possible in order to be able to remarry. This scenario of course involves many parties who also face difficulties.

This study aims to analyze the causes of disparities in court rulings on petitions for the annulment of child adoption decrees and to examine the legal implications regarding the rights and obligations of parents towards their children in such annulment cases. This research employs a normative juridical approach, referring to legal norms through a literature study to obtain secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials relevant to the issue under investigation. The study adopts a descriptive approach, with data collection conducted through a literature review of relevant regulations and legal materials. The data analysis method used is qualitative. The findings reveal that the disparities in court rulings on the annulment of child adoption decrees in Decision No. 130/Pdt.G/2017/PN.Jkt.Tim, Decision No. 83/PDT/2018/PT.DKI, and Decision No. 1210 K/Pdt/2019 are due to the absence of specific regulations governing the annulment of child adoption. Consequently, judges base their legal considerations on their respective interpretations, leading to inconsistencies in rulings for similar cases. This inconsistency indicates a lack of clear benchmarks in adjudicating child adoption annulment cases. Regarding the legal implications for parental rights and obligations in cases where the annulment of child adoption is rejected by the court, this study finds that the legal relationship between both parties remains unchanged from before the annulment petition was filed. The study concludes that adoptive parents seeking to annul an adoption decree may pursue legal remedies through the judiciary, provided they present legally justifiable reasons. Therefore, the establishment of specific regulations on the annulment of child adoption is necessary to provide judges with a clear legal framework for adjudicating similar cases in the future.

This study aims to analyze the obligation to provide transparent information regarding halal features on digital platforms, particularly Shopee Food, to facilitate consumers in selecting healthy and halal food. The research employs an empirical legal method, encompassing observations and document analysis of digital platforms and relevant regulations. The findings indicate that information on product halal status is crucial for Muslim consumers in Indonesia. Digital platforms such as Shopee Food and GoFood have a responsibility to provide halal information features to help consumers choose food that complies with Islamic law. However, many platforms have yet to fulfill this obligation, leading to information asymmetry that may result in adverse selection, where consumers unknowingly purchase non-halal products due to a lack of clear information. The weakness of the current regulations lies in the lack of effective supervision and law enforcement, creating uncertainty for consumers. Therefore, stricter regulations and greater transparency in providing halal information on digital platforms are necessary to ensure Muslim consumer rights and establish a fair and trustworthy trade ecosystem. As a comparison, countries like Malaysia have implemented more comprehensive and effective regulations for halal product oversight, which could serve as a reference for Indonesia in improving its regulatory system.

Bajapuik is a unique marriage tradition of the Minangkabau people, in which the woman approaches the man to propose marriage. This tradition is rooted in the strong matrilineal system of Minangkabau culture. This study aims to examine the Bajapuik traditional marriage process and the reciprocal values within it from the perspective of qira'ah mubjadi, which emphasizes interconnectedness and partnership between men and women, parents and children, as well as inter-ethnic communities. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to understand the experiences and meanings behind this tradition. The findings indicate that the Bajapuik marriage procession consists of three stages: (1) the pre-wedding procession, (2) the wedding procession, and (3) the post-wedding procession. Additionally, there are three reciprocal values in Bajapuik traditional marriage: (1) the reciprocal relationship between children and parents, (2) the reciprocal relationship between the bride and groom, and (3) the reciprocal relationship between the two extended families. The theoretical implications of this study suggest that the qira'ah mubjadi perspective offers an alternative framework for understanding cultural practices that emphasize relational balance and social harmony in Minangkabau society.

This article aims to examine the tradition of sea feasts on Barus Beach, because this tradition is a cultural heritage that is firmly rooted in the lives of coastal communities as a form of expression of gratitude to Allah SWT for marine products and prayers for the safety of fishermen. Along with the development of the times, this tradition has experienced dynamics due to the penetration of Sufistic-Islamic values mixed with local culture and the influence of modernity that changes people's perspective on religious practices. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, with data collected through literature studies, participatory observations, and in-depth interviews with religious leaders, traditional actors, and local communities. The results of the study show that the Sea Kenduri has a sufistic element that is reflected in the practice of dhikr, prayer, and tahlil, which is rooted in the teachings of the tariqat that developed in Barus. From the perspective of Islamic law, this tradition can be categorized as 'urf sahih as long as it does not contain elements that are contrary to the principle of monotheism. However, modernity brings challenges in the form of shifting values among the younger generation, which increasingly questions the relevance of this ritual in the context of contemporary Islam. Therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct this tradition so that it remains in harmony with sharia values without losing the essence of culture and spirituality that has long been inherent in the lives of the people of Barus Beach.

This study explores how integrating Islamic education with entrepreneurship can support the economic development of Muslims. Islamic education, which emphasizes values such as honesty, social responsibility, and perseverance, is believed to have the potential to shape an ethical entrepreneurial mentality. However, the integration between Islamic education and entrepreneurship has not been fully realized in practice, mainly due to the lack of a specific curriculum and systematic support from various parties. With a qualitative approach, this study uses an in-depth interview method with informants with a background in Islamic education and entrepreneurship. Informants were selected through purposive sampling to obtain an in-depth perspective. The results of the study indicate that the development of an Islamic curriculum, practical and field training, and the formation of an entrepreneurial mentality have an important role in building the character of ethical entrepreneurs, where values such as honesty, social responsibility, and perseverance are the foundation for the mindset of Muslim entrepreneurs. In addition, this integration can potentially strengthen the Muslim economy by creating entrepreneurs based on moral values.

This study aims to analyze the work ethic of tapis craftsmen in Lampung and examine the economic realities of their wages within the framework of Islamic values. The research seeks to understand the relationship between work ethic and the economic conditions of tapis craftsmen, as well as their resilience in preserving tradition despite financial constraints. A qualitative approach was employed, incorporating interviews and observations with business actors and tapis craftsmen in Metro City and East Lampung. Data were collected through direct engagement with craftsmen to explore their work ethic and financial challenges. The findings indicate that tapis craftsmen exhibit a strong work ethic, characterized by diligence, responsibility, and commitment. However, they face significant economic difficulties due to wages that remain below the standard living wage. This disparity poses a challenge to both their livelihood and the sustainability of tapis craftsmanship as a cultural heritage. Theoretically, this study underscores the necessity of aligning economic justice with Islamic ethical values in labor practices. The findings emphasize the need for fairer wage policies and empowerment programs to support tapis craftsmen, ensuring both economic well-being and the continuity of local traditions.

This research aims to propose sustainable forest management solutions within the framework of Society 5.0. The rapid expansion of industrialization has led to severe environmental challenges, including deforestation and ecological degradation on a global scale. Therefore, this study explores strategies that nations and global communities can adopt to align forest management with societal welfare while ensuring environmental sustainability. This study employs a library research approach, utilizing secondary data and qualitative analysis. The findings reveal several sustainable forest management methods applicable to developing countries to support sustainable development. These methods include leveraging forests for carbon reduction and achieving net-zero carbon emissions, utilizing forest resources for health purposes—either directly or through herbal medicine—and promoting forest-based ecotourism. Additionally, forest management can be integrated with environmental service-based approaches to enhance ecological conservation. Theoretically, this research contributes to the discourse on environmental governance and sustainable development by providing a framework for balancing economic growth with ecological preservation. The findings offer insights for policymakers, environmental scientists, and stakeholders in developing strategies for responsible and innovative forest management in the era of Society 5.0.

The strawberry generation is a young generation that is fragile in the face of challenges but creative, active, and critical. In Islamic Education, their understanding of religious moderation is important to prevent extremism and intolerance. This study examines the perception of students of the strawberry generation of religious moderation in learning the Qur'an, which was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Lamongan using qualitative methods and case study approaches. The study results show that applying religious moderation values has gone well. PAI teachers play a role in teaching the values of tawasuth (moderate), tasamuh (tolerance), tawazun (balanced), and i'tidal (fair). Students' perceptions tend to be positive, and they understand the importance of a moderate, tolerant, and balanced attitude in religious life. Learning the Qur'an contributes significantly to shaping this understanding. A more interesting learning strategy is needed so that the values of religious moderation are more straightforward to accept and practice in student life.
