Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of job placement, workload, motivation, discipline, and organizational culture on employee performance at PT Excelitas Batam. This study used quantitative methods, and the population was 55 permanent employees at PT Excelitas Batam. The sample used in this study was 55 respondents, using a non-probability sampling technique, namely total sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques used included validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination (R2) analysis. The results showed that job placement, workload, motivation, discipline, and organizational culture simultaneously had a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Excelitas Batam. Partially, each independent variable (job placement, workload, motivation, discipline, and organizational culture) also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

The development of digital technology, particularly through live streaming platforms, has created a new, intense interaction space between streamers and audiences, but has also opened up opportunities for online sexual harassment. This study aims to analyze the legal protection of the mental health rights of victims of digital sexual violence, particularly streamers, and to evaluate the reconstruction of digital platforms' legal responsibilities in ensuring user safety. The study uses a normative legal method with a statutory approach, examining various regulations such as Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence and Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. The results of the study indicate that sexual harassment in live streaming is not only a violation of criminal law but also has a significant impact on victims' mental health, such as anxiety, stress, and psychological trauma. Although regulations have recognized the right to protection and recovery for victims, their implementation still faces obstacles, such as difficulties in providing evidence due to the real-time nature of content and the suboptimal regulation of digital platform responsibility. Therefore, strengthening synergy between the state, platforms, and law enforcement is needed to create effective protection mechanisms oriented towards victim recovery. This research emphasizes the importance of a health law approach in addressing digital sexual violence as part of human rights protection in the era of technological disruption.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the introduction of dance art at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Philippines through an Internship Program carried out by students from Semarang State University. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study approach through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation during the Internship period from October to November 2024. The results of this study show that dance art has a strategic location in the media of introducing Indonesian culture in the Philippines, dance performances are not only ceremonial but also part of a planned cultural diplomacy strategy. The implementation of Internship activities provides practical experiences for students such as involvement in performing art performances in both formal and informal events, participating in international activities, cultural collaboration between two countries, and learning dance for the diaspora. Thus, dance has proven to be effective in bridging differences in backgrounds, cultures and languages. Thus, the internship program at the Indonesian Embassy in Manila is a strategic means in the implementation of cultural diplomacy as well as a vehicle for contextual learning for students.

Abstract

Parental divorce can have psychological impacts on adolescents, such as sadness, anger, social withdrawal, and relationship trauma. Therefore, resilience is needed to help adolescents adapt, manage stress, and recover from these conditions. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects were selected using purposive sampling with the criteria of adolescents aged 15-25 years whose parents had divorced. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews conducted with four research subjects. The results showed that some subjects experienced more severe psychological pressure, such as relationship trauma, anxiety, and thoughts of ending their lives. However, over time all four subjects were able to develop resilience in dealing with these conditions. The most prominent aspects of resilience were optimism, empathy, and self-efficacy, which helped the subjects view the future more positively and continue their lives in a better direction. This process was also supported by spiritual approaches, social support, and professional assistance. At the early stage of parental divorce, the subjects experienced difficulties in emotional regulation and impulse control; however, these abilities gradually developed through the adjustment process, enabling them to manage their emotions and recover from difficult experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the winning strategy of the National Awakening Party (PKB) in gaining legislative seats in non-basic electoral districts (dapil) in the 2024 Election. The main focus of this study is the phenomenon of "broken eggs" in three electoral districts that recorded electoral deadlock for PKB during the reform era, until finally winning its first seat in the 2024 Election. Using the theoretical framework of Campaign Personalization from Söderlund (2024), this study dissects how the interaction between the dimensions of candidate campaign orientation contributes to individual and party vote acquisition. This qualitative research was conducted through case studies in three electoral districts with heterogeneous voter characteristics. The research findings indicate that PKB's success is driven by a combination of three integrative strategic dimensions. First, the person-oriented dimension that relies on the construction of religious authority, professional reputation, and a candidate profile that is accommodating to a spectrum of Islamic groups. Second, the constituency-oriented dimension through issue localization and "politics of presence" that is responsive to the sociocultural needs of constituents, both in traditional bases and urban residential areas. Third, the party-oriented dimension manifests the party's collective reputation through the synchronization of individual campaign narratives with the momentum of the Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN) national coalition. The analysis concludes that electoral victory in an open proportional representation system depends heavily on the candidate's ability to build a personal reputation aligned with the party's political momentum at the national level. This synergy has proven effective in penetrating new voter niches and breaking down electoral barriers in historically impenetrable areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and its implications for the consumer behavior of college students who use online shopping in Ternate City. The study sample consisted of 327 college students in Ternate City. The research design employed a sequential explanatory strategy, with quantitative data collection and analysis in the first stage, followed by qualitative data collection and analysis in the second stage. Data were collected using the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) scale, the Consumption Behavior scale, and an interview guide developed by the researcher. Data analysis techniques included linear regression analysis for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The results of this study indicate that 18% of consumptive behavior can be explained by FoMO. The interview results identified several factors influencing consumptive behavior, including self-confidence, stress coping, self-control, and social recognition.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in citizenship education subjects in class VI of SD Negeri 24 Banda Aceh are influenced by less varied learning and the use of interesting learning media. Therefore, implementing a word wall-based problem based learning (PBL) model is an alternative for improving student learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the influence of the word wall-based problem based learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in class VI citizenship education subjects. This research uses a quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest experimental method without a control group. This research was carried out in November with a research sample of 25 people taken using total sampling techniques. The intervention took the form of implementing a word wall-based problem based learning (PBL) model which was carried out during one meeting for 70 minutes. Data was collected by pretest and posttest which was analyzed using the paired sample t-test. The research results showed that the average pretest score of students was lower than the average posttest score with a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This shows that there is a significant influence of implementing the word wall-based problem based learning (PBL) model on improving student learning outcomes. The conclusion from the results of this research shows that the application of the word wall-based problem based learning (PBL) model is a simple but effective learning approach in increasing student involvement and has a positive impact on learning outcomes in citizenship education subjects. in class VI of SD Negeri 24 Banda Aceh

Abstract

This Study aims to determine the influence of animated video media on improving the learning outcomes of IPAS in grade V students of SD Negeri Lamklat. Improving learning is a challenge for teachers in presenting material that is interesting and easy for students to understand. One of the ways that can be done is to use innovative and creative learning media such as animation video media. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research. This research will be carried out in December 2025. The subject of this study is class V which consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The date collected using learning outcome tests in the form of pretest and posttest and analyzed using SPSS. The results of this study show that the use of animated video media in the learning process has a effect on improving the learning outcomes of IPAS students in grade V of SD Negeri Lamklat, this is evidenced by the average score of student learning outcomes in the experimental class which was previously treated from 51.4 to 90.52 while in the control class that only used conventional methods from 51.8 to 90.32. Thus, it can be concluded that animation video media has a significant effect on improving the learning outcomes of IPAS students in grade V of SD Negeri Lamklat. The implications of this research can be a reference for teachers to use animated video media as an effective alternative learning media to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the use of game-based learning media in improving the quality of Civic Education (PPKn) learning. The problems identified include the low level of student participation and cognitive learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh, where conventional teaching methods still dominate and the use of learning media such as bowling match has not been optimized. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through structured interviews with two Civic Education teachers and eight eighth-grade students, and then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of bowling match learning media was able to increase student engagement, motivation, and understanding, while also creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. However, several obstacles were found, including limited classroom space, students’ initial lack of understanding of the game rules, and challenging classroom management. Therefore, bowling match learning media is considered effective as an innovative learning alternative, especially when supported by proper management and adjustments to learning conditions.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in higher education has encouraged the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications as tools to support academic activities among university students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications as tools for completing academic assignments among students of the Library and Information Science Program at Universitas Negeri Padang class of 2023. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a population of 75 active students selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Ellis information-seeking behavior model, which include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, and ending. Data analysis was conducted using mean score calculations with the assistance of SPSS 26.0. The results show that the overall use of AI applications obtained a mean score of 3.21, which falls into the high category. Several sub-indicators, such as adjustment to goals (3.28), suitability for purpose (3.26), and clarity of conclusions (3.32), were categorized as very high. These findings indicate that students perceive AI as beneficial in improving academic performance, increasing productivity, facilitating information retrieval, and supporting the completion of academic assignments more effectively and systematically. However, students still need to strengthen critical thinking skills and verify the validity and credibility of information generated by AI to ensure academic responsibility. This study contributes to understanding students’ behavior in utilizing AI technology within academic environments and may serve as a reference for developing digital literacy and ethical AI usage in higher education.
