Abstract

Tambakrejo Village is one of the areas in Semarang City that is often affected by flooding, administratively it is included in Gayamsari District. Being in a coastal area with an elevation close to sea level means that the Tambakrejo District area has the risk of flooding and tidal problems, where tidal disasters have so far submerged more than 2.5 hectares of land with 25 residents' houses lost. Flood and tidal conditions directly or indirectly affect all aspects of people's lives. The impact of disasters results in damage to facilities and infrastructure, disruption of social activities, education and public health. If this continues, it is feared that it will increase community vulnerability and decline. The aim of the DPIK program is to increase community capacity to have the independent ability to adapt in facing potential disasters and other impacts of climate change, through the Smart and Disaster Resilient Village movement.

Abstract

Kendal Regency is the 4th largest coffee producing area in Central Java Province with total production reaching 1,806.30 tons in 2021. Coffee production in Kendal Regency in 2021 was produced by Singorojo District amounting to 469 tons, Limbangan District amounting to 450 tons, Patean District amounting to 361 tons and Sukorejo District amounted to 322 tons. One of the coffee producing areas in Limbangan District is Ngesrepbalong Village where the majority of the type of coffee produced is robusta coffee. Based on initial observations of 17 coffee farmers who are members of the Berkah Wana Lestari coffee group in Ngesrepbalong Village, in the 2021 harvest season, the total coffee harvest reached 10.7 tonnes with a productivity level of 0.12 tonnes/ha. On average, each coffee tree in Ngesrepbalong Village produces 2 kilograms of wet coffee fruit (cherry) with a harvest ratio of once a year. The problems experienced by partners are (1) The coffee farming community does not yet know the importance of geographical indications for Mount Ungaran coffee products, there is no coffee farming community institution that focuses on inventory and documentation of geographical indications for Mount Ungaran coffee products, (2) There is no broad information base. land, productivity and detailed characteristics regarding Mount Ungaran coffee, (3) Limited equipment to support the production of organic fertilizer in coffee cultivation activities in Ngesrepbalong Village. Activities carried out by pioneering geographical indications include strengthening group institutions, facilitating facilities and infrastructure to support coffee cultivation, introducing geographical indications, participatory mapping of coffee land and preparing a geographic indication database.

Abstract

Dairy cattle are ruminant livestock that produce milk whose productivity is very dependent on maintenance management. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of dairy farmers in Raraa Village, East Kolaka Regency. This activity was carried out in several stages, including: 1) Socialization of dairy cattle development; 2. Demonstration on the maintenance and feeding of dairy cows; 3. Monitoring and Evaluation. During the socialization activities, the breeders were very enthusiastic in listening and active in the discussion because the breeders in Raraa Village were just getting to know and starting to raise dairy cows. Farmers are also very focused on paying attention to explanations and technical guidance on the maintenance, management and feeding of dairy cows during direct visits to the breeder's pen. At the end of the activity, an evaluation was carried out to determine the level of understanding of dairy farmers. Monitoring and assistance to farmers is also carried out to help farmers who experience difficulties in the process of caring for and feeding dairy cows. This activity can increase the knowledge and skills of dairy farmers so that farmers can maintain and develop dairy cattle in accordance with the government's goal of distributing dairy cattle seeds in the Southeast Sulawesi region

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) are Indonesian citizens working abroad. To meet economic needs, many Indonesian citizens choose to work abroad. The problem found in this service activity is that working abroad has many consequences, one of which is being away from family. However, if they return to Indonesia, Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) have concerns about the skills they have to work in Indonesia. For this reason, the solution offered to partner problems is socialization related to digitalization of entrepreneurship through the use of social media, as well as ways to market business products. The purpose of this activity is to increase PMI's capacity as a provision for preparation to make a living after the employment contract in Korea has ended. Thus, PMI can work in Indonesia and be close to family. The method of implementing the activity is to provide socialization with the target to the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) and Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Korea. The result of this service activity is an increase in knowledge, skills, and motivation from the participants, namely PPI and PMI. In addition, it also received a positive response from all participants. This socialization activity is expected to be carried out to Indonesian migrant workers in other countries.

Abstract

Cattle farming on the slopes of Mount Merapi is a livelihood sector that has existed for a long time, and is a tradition inherited from generation to generation. Cattle farming on the slopes of Mount Merapi or more precisely in Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency not only requires green food, but also concentrates and supplements. The provision of concentrates and supplement has been carried out by bombardment. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce another way to provide nutritions for cows, which has several advantages compared to feeding, namely giving concentrate candy. concentrate candy has several advantages, such as, it can be made using ingredients found around the farmer, and portions of the candy can be used to provide nutrition for a certain period of time, for example one month, so the farmer does not have to bother with bombardment everyday. This is the basis for carrying out community service in the form of training in making concentrate candy for cows. This community service program is implemented through a series of activities which includes socialization, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and training/simulation. The socialization was carried out with explanations by an animal nutrition expert about the ingredients and contents of the candy, and continued with discussion and practice in making candy with facilitation and supervision from the community service team and cow feed expert. With this program, it is hoped that the community will be developed, empowered, and independent, so that they can implement this program in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This time Indonesia is being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, so it is important to introduce local plants as immunity to teachers and students. The purpose of this training is to provide knowledge and skills to recognize the Ethno-STEM integrated project learning model (PJBL) on the topic of local plant herbal teas and tropical forests as immunity. This training is important, because the results of interviews with several teachers and master students of chemistry education show that they have never received this training. This training activity was carried out at the UNNES Postgraduate online, as well as the practice of making tea and learning videos at the UNNES Chemistry Laboratory. The method of activity is through lectures, discussions, and herbal tea making practices, as well as evaluation. The target audience is teachers, 22 students of master's degree in education. The results of the training activity concluded that participants had acquired the knowledge and skills to design an integrated Ethno-STEM learning model for herbal teas and tropical forest plants as immunity.
