Abstract

The Lecture Exchange Program held as part of iPROPEX 2024 aims to provide insights into the potential and opportunities of entrepreneurship in the coffee industry, specifically Aceh coffee. Through this lecture, students at Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin gain in-depth knowledge about the history, production process, and challenges faced by the coffee industry in Aceh, as well as effective marketing and branding strategies for promoting Aceh coffee in international markets. The program also encourages students to actively engage in designing innovative ideas for coffee product development. The outcomes of this program are expected to inspire students to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit and create sustainable business opportunities in the coffee sector, ultimately contributing to both local and global economic growth.

Abstract

Data management and report generation are essential elements in supporting the effective governance of non-formal education institutions such as PKBM Cerdas Mandiri, located in Gampong Lhok Dalam, Peureulak District, East Aceh Regency. However, in practice, administrative management in this institution is still carried out manually, making it prone to errors and time-consuming. This community service project aims to optimize data management and report generation by utilizing Microsoft Excel as the primary tool. The implementation method includes needs assessment, hands-on training (learning by doing), and post-training evaluation. The results show a significant improvement in participants' ability to use Excel’s features such as automated formulas, data validation, chart creation, and pivot tables. Additionally, the training successfully raised awareness of the importance of digitizing administration for work efficiency. The active participation and enthusiasm of the participants indicate that the educational and practical approach is highly effective when applied to community education institutions. This activity demonstrates that Microsoft Excel is a simple yet highly beneficial solution in enhancing professionalism and data management quality within PKBM.

Abstract

The empowerment of santri at Dayah Bustanul Muhtadin aims to enhance their skills in data processing using Microsoft Excel, a crucial tool in today’s digital era. This skill is not only relevant in education but also in professional and managerial settings within the pesantren. The training program was conducted in several stages, including preparation, training, evaluation, and follow-up. The training began with an introduction to basic Excel usage, followed by lessons on formulas, charts, pivot tables, and Excel applications in pesantren administration. Evaluation was carried out through practical exams and feedback to assess the santri's understanding and application of skills. Results from the program showed a significant improvement in the santri's ability to use Excel, with over 80% of participants effectively utilizing various features. This skill improvement also positively impacted the efficiency of pesantren administration, such as managing financial data and attendance records. The program is expected to provide the santri with valuable digital skills, contributing to improved managerial quality within the pesantren. Overall, this initiative successfully empowered the santri and prepared them to face challenges in the digital and professional world.

Abstract

Pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembukuan syariah menjadi semakin penting dalam menghadapi tantangan ekonomi dan keuangan yang kompleks, terutama dalam konteks dunia yang semakin terglobalisasi. Program peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembukuan syariah bagi warga belajar PKBM Banda Khalifah memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada warga belajar untuk mengembangkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang prinsip-prinsip pembukuan syariah serta keterampilan praktis dalam mengelola keuangan berdasarkan prinsip syariah Islam. Program ini diimplementasikan melalui berbagai metode kegiatan, termasuk kuliah, diskusi kelompok, studi kasus, simulasi, praktek lapangan, penugasan individu, dan pelatihan praktis. Melalui beragam pendekatan pembelajaran, warga belajar diberikan pemahaman teoritis yang kokoh dan kesempatan untuk berlatih menerapkan prinsip-prinsip pembukuan syariah dalam konteks nyata. Hasil kegiatan ini mencakup peningkatan pengetahuan tentang konsep dasar pembukuan syariah, prinsip-prinsip yang mendasarinya, dan perbedaannya dengan pembukuan konvensional. Warga belajar juga mengembangkan keterampilan praktis dalam mengelola keuangan dan bisnis secara syariah, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam menghadapi tantangan di dunia kerja dan bisnis. Diharapkan, hasil dari program ini akan membekali warga belajar PKBM Banda Khalifah dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang relevan dengan ekonomi Islam, sehingga mereka dapat menjadi calon tenaga kerja yang kompeten dalam industri keuangan syariah atau bahkan menjadi wirausahawan sukses dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Islam sebagai landasan.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the concepts, principles, and implementation of Sharia Accounting Standards in the context of Islamic economics in life in the business and community environment. This is also to supports the independent learning program whose sources come from various sources outside the school environment.In this activity, students are involved in a series of learning methods which include presentations, group discussions, case studies, guest speakers, exams/evaluations, and reflection sessions.These methods are designed to strengthen students' understanding of the basic principles of sharia accounting, ability to analyze sharia financial transactions, work in teams, and increase awareness of ethics in sharia accounting.The results of this activity indicate an increase in student understanding of the importance of sharia accounting standards, the basic principles of sharia accounting, as well as their ability to apply these principles in real situations in the surrounding community. In addition, students also succeed in developing analytical skills, teamwork, and awareness of ethics in sharia accounting. This activity is expected to provide long-term benefits for students in developing their careers and lives. With a deep understanding of Islamic Accounting Standards, students will become a generation that is competent in the field of Islamic accounting and can contribute to building an economy based on Islamic principles by continuing to innovate in the implementation of knowledge.

Abstract

Health is a basic need that is important to maintain. Preventive efforts through education are needed to increase public awareness, including in drug management and prevention of infectious diseases. This community service activity aims to provide education on 3CP (Methods of Storing, Using, and Destroying Drugs) and preventing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) to residents of the Rahadi Oesman Dormitory, Malang. The counseling was held on May 25, 2025 and was attended by 14 participants. The methods used were lectures, discussions, and question and answer sessions. The material includes proper drug storage, use according to the rules, and how to safely destroy expired drugs. Education also includes knowledge about DHF, including symptoms, stages of the disease, and preventive measures such as 3M (draining, covering, and burying), as well as maintaining environmental cleanliness. The pretest results showed that 50% of participants did not understand the material well. However, after the counseling, there was an increase in the score on the posttest, which indicated an increase in understanding. This activity not only increased participants' knowledge, but also formed awareness of the importance of clean and healthy living behavior and proper drug management. Thus, this counseling is expected to be the initial step in preventing drug abuse and the spread of DHF in residential environments.

Abstract

Mastering the English language is crucial for unlocking global career opportunities. To encourage students to learn this international language and prepare them for an English standardized test, a virtual webinar was held, featuring a native English expert and an English educator from Indonesia. The participants were 101 university students from a private university in Pasuruan who completed a survey to evaluate the webinar. The results showed that the participants became more motivated to delve deeper into learning English and taking the standardized test, including the TOEFL ITP. They also gained a deeper understanding of the power of English, particularly in terms of its impact on their cognitive skills and the international opportunities it offers. However, the study was still in its initial stage, and several in-person training series would have had a higher impact on the participants.

Abstract

One of the key non-formal educational institutions contributing significantly to human resource development at the grassroots level is the Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM). PKBM offers a comprehensive range of educational services, including Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Functional Literacy (KF), Package A (equivalent to elementary school), Package B (equivalent to junior high school), Package C (equivalent to senior high school), Business Learning Groups (KBU), and is also equipped with Community Reading Gardens (TBM). The main objective of PKBM is to expand educational access, particularly for marginalized communities that have limited opportunities to participate in formal education. PKBM serves as a means of community empowerment by improving knowledge, skills, and fostering a positive mental attitude that supports personal development and economic advancement. This study employed a participatory approach, emphasizing the active role and involvement of community members as assisted partners. Findings reveal that the establishment of PKBM in Alue Dua Village was initiated by the aspirations of the local community, supported by organizers. The programs implemented not only provide alternative educational pathways but also serve as a platform for social and economic transformation. Thus, PKBM is expected to become a driving force in enhancing the quality of life and overall community welfare in a sustainable manner

Abstract

Usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Komunitas Bakery, sebuah usaha bakery premium yang didirikan oleh pasangan suami istri di Surabaya sejak tahun 2022, menjadi salah satu contoh UMKM dengan potensi pengembangan yang signifikan. Meskipun telah memiliki pasar loyal, Komunitas Bakery masih menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan brand awareness, efisiensi operasional, serta strategi pemasaran yang terstruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode 5W1H dan praktik lapangan melalui observasi langsung serta wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik usaha untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan merumuskan solusi. Pendampingan difokuskan pada penguatan saluran distribusi (khususnya B2B), pengembangan program loyalitas, penciptaan merchandise, serta optimalisasi manajemen sumber daya manusia melalui sistem penjadwalan dan SOP. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi B2B dengan kafe di Surabaya dan Pandaan memberikan peluang perluasan pasar yang menjanjikan. Sementara itu, program loyalitas dan diskon berbasis segmentasi konsumen (mahasiswa dan pembeli malam hari) mampu mendorong peningkatan penjualan dan keterikatan pelanggan. Penggunaan merchandise (tumbler dan totebag) turut memperkuat identitas merek sekaligus mendukung prinsip konsumsi bertanggung jawab. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa integrasi strategi pemasaran dan pengelolaan SDM yang tepat dapat menjadi kunci keberhasilan pengembangan UMKM berbasis kuliner premium seperti Komunitas Bakery.

Abstract

Digital literacy skills have become an essential competency for students in the era of technological transformation and educational digitalization. However, initial observations revealed that most first-year students still faced significant limitations in operating computers, particularly in using word processing applications such as Microsoft Word, which are crucial for academic activities. To address this issue, a basic computer training program was implemented using an interactive approach that combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. This program aimed to enhance students’ fundamental computer skills and build their confidence in utilizing digital technology. The learning by doing method was applied through individual mentoring and direct practice in the computer laboratory. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ abilities, including operating computers, managing documents with Microsoft Word, and understanding ethical aspects of technology use.Beyond technical proficiency, the training also fostered positive attitudes toward technology use in academic contexts. Students became more active, independent, and receptive to digital-based learning. Therefore, the interactive basic computer training proved to be an effective strategy for transforming digital literacy among first-year students and served as a crucial foundation for preparing them to meet the demands of digital-era education.
