PASAI : Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, e-ISSN: 2964-0520 dan p-ISSN: 2964-0512 adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan dua kali setahun dan berfokus pada praktik dan proses keterlibatan masyarakat. PASAI : Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat bertujuan untuk menjadi jurnal interdisipliner yang direview oleh rekan sejawat yang utama untuk memajukan teori dan praktik terkait dengan semua bentuk penjangkauan dan keterlibatan. Abstract

Reducing plastic waste is an urgent environmental issue and efforts are needed to educate high school students about environmentally friendly waste management. This study aims to design an effective method of activity to educate SMA Jaya students in Langsa City about the importance of reducing plastic waste. The proposed method of activity includes counseling and presentations, group discussions, field visits. Counseling and presentations will provide students with an initial understanding of plastic waste and its impact on the environment. Group discussions will provide opportunities for students to share knowledge and ideas about reducing plastic waste. Field visits will provide hands-on experience of the waste processing process. The environmental awareness campaign will involve students in disseminating information about reducing plastic waste in schools and surrounding communities. Collaboration with external parties will provide broader insights about reducing plastic waste. The use of eco-friendly alternatives will encourage students to adopt lifestyle changes that reduce the use of single-use plastics. It is hoped that the implementation of this activity method will help Jaya Jaya High School students in Langsa City understand the importance of reducing plastic waste and have practical skills in environmentally friendly waste management. Through collaboration with external parties and involving the community, it is hoped that this effort to reduce plastic waste can achieve a wider and more sustainable impact.

Abstract

Community economic empowerment is an important aspect in the development of a region. In the context of Peureulak City, community economic empowerment is carried out through entrepreneurship and business development training programs organized by BSI Link. This program aims to increase participants' knowledge, skills, and economic independence, so that they can develop successful businesses and contribute to local economic growth. The method of activity used in this program includes identification of needs, implementation of training, assistance and mentoring, field visits, as well as evaluation and monitoring. By participating in this program, participants gain knowledge about the basics of business, financial management, marketing, and business development strategies. The results of the activities of this training program include increasing the knowledge and skills of participants, developing solid business plans, increasing economic independence, increasing business competitiveness, creating jobs, collaboration and business networks, as well as the impact on sustainable development. Thus, this program has the potential to make a significant contribution to community economic empowerment and sustainable economic growth in Peureulak City. In conclusion, the BSI Link entrepreneurship and business development training program in Peureulak City has clear objectives and structured activity methods. Through this program, participants gain knowledge and skills that will enable them to develop successful businesses and contribute to local economic growth. This program also has the potential to have a positive impact on community economic empowerment and sustainable development.

Abstract

parent training as an education partner, aims to empower parents with the right knowledge, skills, and strategies to support their children's learning process at home. This training will cover various aspects, from understanding the physical and psychological development of students in their teens, to techniques for dealing with different learning challenges. By actively involving parents, we hope to create a positive synergy between home and school. This method involved in-depth interviews with parents, students, and the school to understand their views on the training and the changes that occurred in educational support following the training. The research results show that parent training as an educational partner can have a positive impact on the level of student achievement in secondary schools. Effective parental training can increase their involvement in children's education, motivate students to study harder, and increase participation in school activities. In addition, parents who are trained have a better ability to provide support and assistance to overcome learning difficulties. active involvement of parents in supervising and controlling student learning activities has a positive impact on academic achievement. Parents who are directly involved in supervising students' homework and schoolwork help create a more structured and supportive learning environment.

Abstract

Family medicinal plants (TOGA) are the choice to change people's habits back to traditional habits in curing various diseases. TOGA is very easy to find like some plants in Parasrejo Village, but not many people understand the types of family medicinal plants, how to cultivate them and their properties. The purpose of this service is to explain and practice several types of TOGA for planting in the yard. The service method starts with observing the surrounding environment, outreach to the community and village officials and then creating a TOGA garden. The plants grown in the garden include Asian lavender, pandanus, aloe vera, galangal, tomatoes, ginger, kencur and basil. The results of the service show that the people of Parasrejo Village already understand a number of species and are very enthusiastic about participating in socialization and trying to plant several family medicinal plants

Abstract

Cooperatives as joint business units owned by their members certainly require good and transparent management, cooperative managers should play an active role in carrying out their role of fostering their members so that they can progress and grow together in building a business. Throughout the establishment of the kartini mandiri lestari cooperative, there are still a number of challenges faced including technical operational problems in the Cooperative which are still carried out manually, another challenge comes from the lack of knowledge of cooperative members' business management so that the business that is built tends to not last long. In this community service activity efforts are made to solve problems that exist in the kartini mandiri lestari cooperative with activities in the form of socialization, training, assistance and implementation of cooperative applications as well as monitoring and evaluation of each activity. The results of the evaluation of the socialization activities for the preparation of financial reports and production costs stated that there had been an increase in participants' understanding by 74.07%, while the assessment of user interpretations of cooperative applications reaches 80% in the category of feasible implementation.

Abstract

Arjuna Farm is a goat-sheep farm that was established to increase family income with an educational concept that targets meeting the community's protein needs. Limited knowledge in the field of animal husbandry in the form of procurement of feed ingredients, ration formulation, and management, encouraged the team from the LPPM Annual Service, Universitas Sumatera Utara to provide assistance with solutions offered to farmers, including providing training, lectures, discussions, and demonstrations of waste-based feed processing. agriculture, and food processing industry, making complete silage feed, making MOL bio activator in fermentation and maintenance management. This activity is expected to increase the knowledge and skills of breeders. Apart from that, assistance was provided in the form of goat milking equipment and cage design. This activity is predicted to result in savings in animal feed costs because it can utilize alternative sources of feed ingredients, formulate and make concentrate feed independently, and complete fermentation methods.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low disciplinary character of students in the school environment. This research focuses on how disciplined character can be embedded in scouts who raise in extracurricular scout activities at Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh Islamic Elementary School. The aim of this research is to describe the coaches' efforts in forming a disciplined character in students through scout activities at Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh Islamic Elementary School. This research was conducted at Raudhatul Janah Payakumbuh Islamic Elementary School involving 20 students who participated in scout raising activities and coaching. This type of research is qualitative research, using three data collection techniques, namely, interviews, observation and documentation. From the results of the observations carried out, it shows that scout extracurriculars can form a disciplined character in students. The formation of this disciplined character can be formed due to the efforts made by the coach by applying punishment methods and giving appreciation to students on PPB and pioneering activity material.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the benefits of reading corners in fostering interest in reading which has been programmed at SD IT Madani Islamic School! Payakumbuh. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use observation. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively by looking at the results of observations. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of the reading corner for SD IT Madani Islamic School Payakaumbuh students is that there is a reading corner in the library room in order to bring sources of knowledge closer to students and can foster basic literacy. This research was conducted directly and the results of the findings of interest in writing in the use of the reading corner at SD IT Madani Islamic School Payakumbuh were that students were able to create new vocabulary into sentences. The results of this research can be concluded that after utilizing the interest in reading and writing at SD IT Madani Islamic School Payakumbuh, it is very important and helps students and teachers in adding new vocabulary and new knowledge. By creating an innovative reading corner, it can increase students' interest in reading at SD IT Madani Islamic School Payakumbuh.

Abstract

Abstract Jakpreneur is a programme initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Government to encourage family economic empowerment through support for MSMEs. This programme aims to improve the family economy, especially among the lower middle class, by providing training, access to capital, and market access facilities. Jakpreneur also collaborates between the government, the business sector, and the community in creating an environment that supports the growth of MSMEs. With training provided by industry experts and business practitioners, participants of this programme are empowered to develop managerial, marketing, and financial skills. The data analysis technique uses qualitative research, by obtaining an overview of Jakpreneur. Using secondary data collection methods, namely by utilising existing documents. The results of this study show that Jakpreneur has had a positive impact with increased business growth, income, and welfare of participant families. However, challenges such as additional access to capital and market expansion remain the focus of ongoing development. Keywords: jakprenuer, economic empowerment,UMKM Abstrak Jakpreneur merupakan program yang diinsiasi oleh Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta dalam mendorong pemberdayaan ekonomi keluarga melalui dukungan kepada UMKM. Program ini bertujuan untuk menngkatkan ekonomi keluarga, khususnya di kalangan ekonomi menengah ke bawah, dengan memberikan pelatihan, akses modal, dan fasilitas akses pasar. Jakpreneur juga berkolaborasi antara pemerintah, sektor bisnis, dan masyarakat dalam meniciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan UMKM. Dengan adanya pelatihan yang diselenggrakan dari ahli industri dan praktis bisnis, peserta program ini diberdayakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan manajerial, pemasaran, dan keuangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan memproleh gambaran mengenai Jakpreneur. Menggunakan metode pengumpulan dari data sekunder yaitu dengan pemanfaatan dokumen yang ada. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Jakpreneur telah memberikan dampak positif dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan usaha, pendapatan, dan kesejahteraan keluarga peserta. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti akses tambahan terhadap modal dan perluasan pasar masih menjadi fokus pengembangan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: jakprenuer, pemberdayaan ekonomi, UMKM

Abstract

The need for the Internet is not only as a medium for entertainment or viewing but also for many others, including helping to prepare financial performance reports for business activities. Therefore, there is a need for understanding and knowledge for the public, especially young people who are learning to do business, so they no longer think that software or applications for financial reporting must be obtained difficultly and expensively. Still, it can also be obtained through other means like a smartphone at a low cost or even free. The method used in implementing community service is training through presentations delivered by community service team presenters, and practice using applications via smartphone. The discussion presented is 1) the history of the accounting recording process up to the use of applications available on computers or smartphones, and 2) introducing the application and providing training on accounting recording through the SIAPIK application. With this training, it is hoped that Binar High School students can increase their knowledge and competence in using simple accounting applications based on Android (via Playstore) and IOS.
