Abstract

In the context of agrarian communities in Indonesia, the relationship between humans and livestock is not solely based on economic value but also reflects social, symbolic, and cultural relationships. This study aims to examine how the practice of providing and selecting livestock feed nutrients in Matahora Village, Wakatobi Regency, is influenced by local cultural values that exist within the agrarian community. This research uses a literature study approach by analyzing previous works on the relationship between humans and livestock, local wisdom in livestock husbandry, and culturally based agricultural practices. The results of the study indicate that the community in Matahora Village has developed a pattern of livestock feed selection that considers not only nutritional aspects but also local beliefs regarding plant properties, feeding timing, and certain taboos. For example, lamtoro leaves are believed to strengthen livestock bones, while the provision of cassava leaves is restricted because they are considered symbolically "hot." Furthermore, traditional fermented feed also develops based on inherited knowledge. Thus, understanding the relationship between humans and livestock from a cultural perspective provides an important contribution to a holistic approach to developing sustainable livestock farming rooted in local wisdom. This study recommends integrating local cultural values into livestock extension services to increase the acceptability and sustainability of practices at the community level.

Abstract

The use of grass cutters in oil palm plantations is a crucial activity in weed control, which can impact land productivity and worker well-being. However, the use of non-ergonomic tools carries the risk of health problems such as musculoskeletal injuries, excessive fatigue, and decreased work efficiency. This literature analysis aims to explore the social and occupational safety implications of implementing ergonomic grass cutter designs in oil palm plantations. The method used is a literature review of national and international journals published between 2015 and 2024, focusing on ergonomics, occupational health, and socioeconomic impacts in the plantation sector. The analysis results indicate that the use of ergonomic grass cutters can improve work comfort, reduce the risk of injury, and increase worker productivity. In addition, improved tool design also has a positive impact on social relations between workers, reducing absenteeism, and increasing income due to more optimal work results. The main challenges identified are limited access to ergonomic tools, lack of training, and relatively high initial investment costs. This study recommends the need for policy interventions and training support for workers to optimize the benefits of ergonomic grass cutters. In conclusion, the application of ergonomic technology in oil palm plantations is not only relevant for occupational safety but also contributes to social sustainability and worker well-being.

Abstract

Food security is one of the main pillars of sustainable development in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas that still rely on the agricultural sector as their primary source of livelihood. This study aims to examine farmer empowerment strategies based on the local wisdom of the Muna community using a socio-cultural approach as an effort to strengthen food security. Local wisdom of the Muna community, such as the kaghombo mutual cooperation system, rotating land management (kafo), and the karia harvest festival tradition, serve as social instruments that influence sustainable food production, distribution, and consumption patterns. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The results show that local wisdom plays a significant role in building social solidarity, maintaining the sustainability of agricultural ecosystems, and minimizing the risk of crop failure. Effective empowerment strategies include strengthening customary-based farmer groups, training in agricultural technology aligned with local wisdom, and collaboration between traditional leaders, local government, and non-governmental organizations. The implications of this study indicate that integrating local values into farmer empowerment programs can improve food security while maintaining the cultural identity of the Muna community. Thus, a socio-cultural approach based on local wisdom is not only relevant to the local context of Muna but can also be replicated in other regions with similar social and cultural characteristics.

Abstract

Local communities play a strategic role as pillars of civil society, capable of driving social change, strengthening solidarity, and maintaining the sustainability of local culture and wisdom. This literature review aims to examine how the strength of local communities forms the foundation of civil society within a social, political, economic, and cultural context. The method used was a literature review of scientific articles, books, and research reports published between 2018 and 2025. The study's findings indicate that local communities function as spaces for democratic participation that strengthen social cohesion, reduce inequality, and increase community resilience in the face of crises. Furthermore, local wisdom, passed down from generation to generation, has proven to be a crucial instrument in maintaining social harmony and environmental sustainability. However, the challenges of modernization, globalization, and the penetration of digital technology often erode the value of collectivity, the primary strength of local communities. Therefore, community empowerment strategies based on active participation, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and the revitalization of local wisdom are needed to ensure communities remain adaptive in the face of changing times. This literature review confirms that the strength of local communities is a crucial foundation for realizing an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable civil society in Indonesia.

Abstract

Learning to write is an essential skill in education because it requires students to master not only the technical aspects of language but also critical, reflective, and creative thinking skills. In the context of 21st-century education, a deep learning approach is seen as an effective strategy for developing students' writing skills. This approach focuses on meaningful understanding, connecting ideas, and the ability to analyze and evaluate information, ultimately contributing to the quality of writing. This article presents a literature review exploring the relationship between deep learning and writing skills, covering its principles, implementation, and challenges faced in elementary and secondary education contexts. Recent studies indicate that students who learn through a deep learning approach tend to produce more structured, argumentative, and original writing. This is because they are trained to connect new knowledge with experience, reflect, and construct logical arguments. However, the implementation of deep learning in practice still faces obstacles, such as limited time, teacher capacity, and a learning culture that is still oriented towards memorization. Therefore, this literature review emphasizes the importance of integrating deep learning strategies into the Indonesian language curriculum, particularly in writing, so that students can develop more critical, creative, and contextual literacy skills.

Abstract

Social activism is a concrete manifestation of civil society participation in driving social, political, economic, and cultural change. In both global and local contexts, social activism emerges as a response to injustice, marginalization, and the failure of the state and market to meet societal needs. This literature review aims to analyze the forms of social activism, their role in strengthening civil society, and the challenges faced in the digital era. The review shows that social activism has developed in various forms, ranging from street protests and policy advocacy to environmental movements and digital campaigns through social media. Activism is not merely mass mobilization but also a strategy for building critical awareness, solidarity, and alternative solutions to structural issues. In the digital era, social media serves as a new arena that expands the reach of activism, although it also presents challenges in the form of disinformation and movement fragmentation. This article concludes that social activism is a crucial instrument in strengthening civil society and democracy, although its effectiveness is heavily influenced by the political context, technology, and the capacity of civil society organizations themselves. Therefore, understanding social activism is key to understanding the dynamics of contemporary social change and formulating more inclusive and sustainable participation strategies.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence technology, particularly deep learning, opens up new opportunities for developing Indonesian language and literature literacy at the elementary school level. Furthermore, local wisdom, as part of the nation's cultural identity, holds significant potential for strengthening literacy learning that is contextual, meaningful, and relevant to children's lives. This article presents a literature review on the synergy between deep learning and local wisdom in developing Indonesian language and literature literacy in elementary school children. Deep learning plays a role in providing technology-based learning media, such as interactive applications, automatic text analysis, and reading recommendation systems that can be tailored to children's abilities. Meanwhile, local wisdom provides content rich in cultural, moral, and social values, enabling children not only to acquire literacy skills but also to foster a sense of national identity and character. The review shows that the integration of these two aspects can create an adaptive, creative, and inclusive literacy ecosystem. Literacy is understood not only as reading and writing skills but also as a means of strengthening imagination, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding. This study emphasizes the need for a collaborative approach between deep learning technology and local wisdom to improve the quality of Indonesian language and literature learning in elementary schools, while simultaneously preparing a literate, character-driven, and globally competitive golden generation.

Abstract

Deep learning is a pedagogical approach that emphasizes active student involvement in meaningfully understanding concepts, rather than simply memorizing information. At the elementary school level, this approach is highly relevant because it can foster critical thinking skills from an early age. This article is a literature review that aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning approach in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. Previous research shows that deep learning can encourage students to explore, reflect, analyze, and synthesize knowledge. By integrating strategies such as problem-based learning, project-based learning, and inquiry-based learning, students not only understand the material conceptually but also develop the ability to ask critical questions, evaluate information, and connect knowledge to real-life situations. Furthermore, the use of digital technology and interactive media strengthens the application of deep learning in the classroom. Literature findings also emphasize that successful implementation is greatly influenced by the teacher's role as facilitator, curriculum readiness, and a collaborative learning environment. Thus, deep learning not only improves the quality of student understanding but also serves as an effective strategy in shaping the profile of Pancasila learners who are critical, creative, and adaptive to the challenges of the 21st century. This article is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to elementary school educators in designing more meaningful learning strategies

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, including civics learning in elementary schools. One innovation currently experiencing rapid growth is the use of e-learning. This literature review aims to critically examine the role of e-learning in improving the civic behavior of elementary school children. Various studies have shown that e-learning serves not only as a medium for conveying information but also fosters active participation, collaboration, and awareness of the values ​​of democracy, tolerance, and social responsibility. Through the interactive approach offered by e-learning platforms, students can learn to understand civic concepts contextually, whether through simulations, online discussions, or digital project-based activities. Thus, e-learning has the potential to develop more meaningful civic behavior, especially in a technology-savvy generation. However, its implementation still requires the support of teachers, parents, and school policies so that the use of e-learning is not solely oriented towards cognitive aspects but also internalizes civic values ​​in students' daily lives. The results of this study confirm that e-learning is a strategic medium for developing civic behavior relevant to the needs of 21st-century education, although challenges such as limited internet access, digital literacy, and teacher preparedness still require further attention.

Abstract

Writing skills are a complex language competency because they require critical thinking skills, mastery of language structures, and creativity in expressing ideas. However, writing learning still faces challenges, especially in providing fast, personalized, and appropriate feedback to students' needs. Along with the development of artificial intelligence technology, especially deep learning, new opportunities have emerged to optimize the writing learning process. This literature review article aims to analyze the role of deep learning-assisted learning systems in improving students' writing skills. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various recent studies related to the implementation of deep learning in the context of language education, especially writing. The results of the study indicate that deep learning can contribute in five main aspects, namely: (1) automation of text analysis to detect grammatical errors and writing style, (2) personalization of learning through content recommendations that suit students' needs, (3) increasing creativity by providing stimulus ideas through artificial intelligence-based systems, (4) efficiency of the evaluation process through automatic and fast feedback, and (5) integration of collaborative learning based on digital platforms that enable students to learn to write interactively. Thus, the application of deep learning in writing learning can be an innovative strategy to improve the effectiveness and quality of language learning in the digital era. Further research is needed to develop adaptive, ethical learning models that are oriented toward strengthening students' digital literacy.
