Abstract

The objective of the study was to describe the planning, the implementation, and the increase of the learning outcome of geometry characteristics oriented to Van Hiele theory in the fifth grade of Public Elementary School number 11 Indarung of Padang. The type of the study was a clasroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were the teacher and the 23 students. The result of the study showed that there  was an enhancement from cycle I to cycle II as following: (a) the planning in cycle I increased by 10,7% in cycle II, (b) the implementation of the teacher and the students aspects in cycle I increased by 15% in cycle II, (c) the learning outcome in cycle I increased by 10,5 in cycle II.Key words: geometry characteristics, Van Hiele theory

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning model to improve learning outcomes in solving mathematical problems. This research is Classroom Action Research which uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects of this study were twenty five teachers and fifth grade students. The implementation of this research was carried out in two cycles with research procedures consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results obtainedshowed an increase: 1) RPP cycle I an average value of 78.57% (B), cycle II averaged 91.07% (SB). 2) Implementation of learning based on: a) teacher activities average value 75% (C), cycle II average value 90% (SB), b) student activity average value 65% (C), cycle II average value average of 87.5% (SB). Whereas, 3) Student learning outcomes an average value of 65.06 (C) cycle II an average value of 83.30 (B). Thus, the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning outcomes of mathematical problem solving in Class V of Padang Besi Elementary School 08 Padang Keywords: Problem Based Learning; Learning Outcomes Problem Solving; Mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning with the Cooperative Learning Model Type NHT on the learning outcomes of broad trapezoidal and kite. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods, with a quasi experimental design with the form of a pretest-posttest non-euivalent group. The results showed that the average value of the pretest of the experimental group was 55.4 and the control group was 57.8. Analysis of the two groups using the t-test, obtained results of tcount of -6.382 and ttable at the 0.05 significance level of 2.024, so that tcount < ttable. While the average posttest value of the experimental group was 79.6 and the control group was 65.8. Analysis of the two groups using the t-test, obtained results of tcount of 4.0588 and ttabel at the 0.05 significance level of 2.024, so that tcount > t table. This shows that there are influences on the broad learning outcomes of trapezoidal and kites using the NHT type cooperative learning model.                                                                   Keywords : NHT Model, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes after learning with the cooperative model make a match type. The research method uses Classroom Action Research with qualitative and quantitative approaches carried out in 2 cycles covering four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this study were teacher and 21 fourth grade students of SDN 15 Koto Tangah. The results showed that the succes in the first cycle lesson plan was 87,5% then increased in the second cycle to 94%. The success of observing theacher activity in cycle I was 68,75%, increasing in cycle ii 96,8%. While the increase in the activity of student aspects in the first cycle was 73,43% and the increase in the second cycle was 93,75%. The average learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect in the first cycle was 74,04, increasing in the second cycle to 84,29. While the average learning outcomes in the skills aspect in the first cycle was 76,96, increasing in the second cycle to 83,98.

Abstract

The research objective was to describe the increase in student learning outcomes in learning PKn by using a approach Cooperative Learning tipe Talking Stick in grade V SDN 22 Nan Sabaris.This study used qualitative and quantitative approaches with classroom action research.The results of the studies on the in RPP research instrument are : in first cycle in the first meeting 79, and second meeting 87and second cycle in in the first meeting 95.aspect of teacher assesment are: in first cycle in the first meeting 83, and second meeting 88 and second cycle in in the first meeting 94.while the aspect of student assesment are: in first cycle in the first meeting 69, second meeting 83 and second cycle in in the first meeting 9.The assessment is expected by using approach Cooperative Learning tipe Talking Stick increased.This is also shown by the increase in the value of the result obtained in the form of student, the value in in first cycle in the first meeting average is 69, second meeting average increased is 76 and second cycle  in the first meeting average increased is 82. Abstract

This research is motivated by low student learning outcomes, the purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of achievement on learning of citizenship education subject by using cooperative type Think Pair Share (TPS) in fourth grade Lubuk Buaya elementary school 58 Padang, the sample of study subjects was teacher and 22 students. The findings of this research showed that cycle I was average 88% on result of planning, cycle II was 96,42%. Observation on teacher’s aspects cycle I was average 79% cycle II was 91,1%. Observation on student’s aspect cycle I was 76% , cycle II was 91,1%. Student’s achievement cycle I was 74,00%, cycle II was 84,71%.

Abstract

AbstractThe research is aimed to describe the improvement of the students learning outcomes in learning the Social Science Subject by using the Cooperative Learning, Two Stay Two Stray Model at 5th grade of SDN 10 Bandar Buat. The type of research used in this study is in the form of quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of the research were the students of grade 5A and 5B of the school. The data was collected by using test. Based on the hypothesis test and by using the t-test with significant level 5%, with the tcalculation> ttable (2.03 > 1.67). Abstract

This research aims to develop thematic learning media using theapplication Macromedia Flash.Learning media that is more varied and interesting by combining folklore with positive moral values and developed through applications that are easy to use with the help of the latest technology according to the times. This research was conducted on students in grade IV SDN 48 Ganting, using the development method of the 4D model ( define , design, development  and  dessiminate).Based on the results of research that has been done, it is stated that the media are considered valid by the material experts and media experts. The results of the assessment questionnaire by the two experts showed a very valid media category with a total score of both (92.72%). After the assessment by the two media experts was judged to be very practical based on the results of the student response questionnaire, learning was considered very interesting when using media. The results of student responses obtained data of 19 students with a total value of 96%. In addition to student responses stating that this media is very practical, from the teacher's response to the number of school grades 95%. After distributing the questionnaire to the first school, the distribution of media was carried out at the next school, so it was also stated that learning media using macromedia flash  was very practical with an acquisition of 89%. Based on the assessment of the questionnaires distributed states that the media is very practical and valid for instilling positive character in students.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah pada pembelajaran pengurangan pecahan berpenyebut berbeda di kelas V SD Negeri 20 Luhak Nan Duo, guru masih mendominasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode ceramah. Siswa kurang aktif dan kurang bekerja sama. Menyikapi kenyataan di atas, diadakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). PTK bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan rencana, pelaksanaan, dan hasil belajar kooperatif tipe (STAD). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini meliputi: 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan, 3) pengamatan, dan 4) refleksi. Hasil penelitian siklus I perencanaan diperoleh 81%, aspek guru 75% aspek siswa 67%, hasil belajar 67. Siklus II perencanaan diperoleh hasil 91%, aspek guru 88%  aspek siswa 84%, hasil belajar meningkat 80,2. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran pecahan berpenyebut berbeda.   Kata Kunci : hasil belajar, pecahan, berpenyebut berbeda, stad

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of integrated thematic learning processes with a problem based learning approach in class IV SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan, Padang City. This type of research is classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the observation of RPP in cycle 1 obtained an average of 89.76%, and cycle 2 gained an average of 97.72%. Aspects of students in the first cycle with a percentage of 88.38% increased in the second cycle to 96.42%. This proves the scientific approach can improve student learning processes.
