Madania: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman is a peer-reviewed international journal focusing on Islamic studies. Madania accepts two types of articles: Research Articles: Scholarly reports presenting the results of quantitative or qualitative studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic studies across the six themes. Conceptual Articles: Papers offering theoretical perspectives, models, or philosophical analyses relevant to Islamic studies, engaging with contemporary theories and frameworks. All submissions to Madania undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure high standards of quality and academic integrity. The journal is committed to publishing original, innovative, and impactful research that addresses contemporary challenges in the Islamic world.

Abstract

Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, which also discusses self-actualization, has been widely studied to increase meaning in various areas of life. However, there are many criticisms of the hierarchy theory, which automatically criticizes the concept of self-actualization. This criticism is increasingly visible when viewed with the Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah approach, which in its conception is highly concerned with the preservation of religion. Therefore, this article discussed the results of the critical study of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs based on the Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah perspective. Based on library research with a critical analysis approach, it could be concluded that: first, Maslow's critical analysis of the hierarchy could be divided into two, namely criticism of hierarchy theory and the concept of self-actualization. Second, criticisms of Maslow's hierarchy theory included: the absence of religious elements in his theory and its irrelevance to the realities of people's lives. Third, criticism of Maslow's self-actualization included the absence of a clear definition of self-actualization. Furthermore, in practice, it led to an individual-materialistic attitude. Fourth, all these criticisms led to the Western humanist perspective, especially Abraham Maslow, who views humans as only mind, soul, and heart without any spirit or religion, which is the essence of Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah. Teori hirarki kebutuhan Abraham Maslow yang turut membicarakan aktualisasi diri banyak dikaji untuk meningkatkan kebermaknaan di berbagai bidang kehidupan. Namun demikian, terdapat banyak kritik terhadap teori hirarki tersebut, yang secara otomatis juga mengkritik konsep aktualisasi dirinya. Kritik tersebut semakin terlihat jika ditinjau dengan pendekatan Maqâshid al-Syarî‘ah yang dalam konsepsinya sangat perhatian terhadap penjagaan agama. Untuk itu, artikel ini akan membahas, telaah kritis hirarki kebutuhan Abraham Maslow perspektif Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah. Berdasarkan kajian berjenis library research dengan pendekatan analisis kritis dapat disimpulkan, pertama, telaah kritis hirarki Maslow dapat dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu kritik terhadap teori hirarki dan konsep aktualisasi dirinya. Kedua, kritik terhadap teori hirarki Maslow meliputi: ketiadaan unsur agama dalam teorinya dan ketidakrelevanan dengan realita kehidupan masyarakat. Ketiga, kritik terhadap aktualisasi diri Maslow, meliputi ketiadaan definisi yang jelas terkait aktualisasi diri, dan dalam prakteknya justru lebih mengarah kepada sikap individual-materialistik. Keempat, semua kritikan tersebut bermuara pada cara pandang Barat humanis, khususnya Abraham Maslow yang memandang manusia hanya sebatas akal, jiwa dan hati tanpa adanya ruh atau agama, yang merupakan inti dari Maqâshid al-syarî‘ah.

Abstract

This article is aimed at exploring Islamic science related to the relationship between religion and science which has been being discussed among Indonesian Islamic scientists. Based on the fact occured a long time in many collages under the ministary of religious affair, Islamic educational institutions have only focused on religious science which is narrow and far from science and technology. This research is a type of qualitative research that uses an ex post facto descriptive approach. The descriptive approach is intended to answer questions related to the object under study. Therefore, this is used to systematically describe the present study such as at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogkarta, UIN Malang, and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The ex post facto approach is used to evaluate several matters in accordance with the integration and interconnection of science in the three UINs. The results of the study report that first there are several scientific designs that have bring together religion and science. Second, the scientific dichotomy between science and religion is a colonial product that separates religion and science. Third, there is a culmination point between several scientific designs offered by some of these leading Islamic campuses, namely the spirit of reintegration between religion and science which in early Islam did not recognize a scientific dichotomy. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggali keilmuan Islam terkait dengan relasi agama dan sains yang masih terus menjadi diskusi di lingkungan ilmuwan Islam Indonesia. Berdasarkan kenyataan yang terjadi di banyak perguruan tinggi di bawah kementerian agama, lembaga pendidikan Islam hanya berfokus pada keilmuan agama yang sempit dan jauh dari ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Penelitian merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif ex post facto. Pendekatan deskriptif dimaksudkan untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan objek yang diteliti. Karena itu, dalam hal ini pendekatan deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan secara sistematis objek yang diteliti, yaitu UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Malang, dan UIN Sunan Gugung Djati Bandung. Pendekatan ex post facto digunakan untuk mengevaluasi beberapa hal yang berkaitan dengan integrasi dan interkoneksi keilmuan di tiga UIN tesebut. Hasil penelitian melaporkan bahwa pertama adanya beberapa desain keilmuan yang mucul yang mempertemukan agama dan sains. Kedua, dikotomi keilmuan antara sains dan agama adalah produk kolonial yang memisahkan antara agama dan sains. Ketiga, terdapat titik temu antara beberapa desain keilmuan yang ditewarkan oleh beberapa kampus Islam terkemuka tersebut, yaitu semangat reintegrasi antara agama dan sains yang memang dalam Islam awal tidak dikenal dikotomi keilmuan.

Abstract

This paper aims at explaining the criminal provisions in government regulation number 9 of 1975, according to Law Number 12 of 2011. The research method used in conducting this article is a qualitative research method with a normative juridical research type using the statute approach. Sources of data are divided into two forms, namely primary data sources obtained directly from main sources such as the head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religions of the Republic of Indonesia, Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, the Head of the High Court of Religion of North Sumatra, and Experts in the field of Islamic Law. In addition, laws and regulations and the book of ushul fiqh are used as secondary materials. Data analysis was carried out in the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results show that the criteria for marriage that can be punished or fined are divided into two, namely, First, is the presence of intention. Second, the action is detrimental to another person, in other words, the injured person reports or complains about the detrimental action to the police so that it can be processed because the provision is a complaint offense. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan ketentuan pidana dalam peraturan pemerintah nomor 9 tahun 1975 menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2011. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian yuridis normative menggunakan pendekatan statute approach. Sumber data terbagi pada dua bentuk yaitu sumber data primer yang diperoleh langsung dari sumber utama seperti Kepala Kanwil Kementerian Agama RI, Komisi III DPR RI, Ketua Pengadilan Tinggi Agama Sumatera Utara, dan Pakar dibidang hukum Islam. Selain itu, peraturan perundang-undangan dan kitab ushul fiqih dijadikan sebagai bahan sekunder. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kriteria pernikahan yang dapat dipidana atau didenda terbagi kepada dua, yaitu; Pertama, adalah adanya niat atau unsur kesengajaan. Kedua, tindakan tersebut merugikan orang lain, dengan kata lain, bahwa orang yang dirugikan tersebut melaporkan atau mengadukan perbuatan yang merugikannya kepada pihak kepolisian, sehingga dapat diproses, karena ketentuan tersebut merupakan delik aduan.

Abstract

This research aims to adopt a spatial finance approach to hajj fund sustainability by finding the factors that influenced it during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research involved GRDP, Household Consumption, COVID-19 Cases, Islamic Banking Office Network, and Religiosity Index as exogenous variables with secondary data in 2020. This research uses Spatial Autoregressive Model analysis and Local Indicators of Spatial Autocorrelation through Spatial Rate Analysis to predict spillover effects. Research findings show that the Religiosity Index and Office Network have a spatial effect on Hajj funds. In addition, the provinces of East Java and Central Java are predicted to have a strong potential to have a spillover effect and affect the surrounding areas to increase the sustainable growth of the Hajj fund. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadopsi pendekatan keuangan spasial terhadap keberlanjutan dana haji dengan menemukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya selama pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini melibatkan PDRB, Konsumsi Rumah Tangga, Kasus COVID-19, Jaringan Kantor Perbankan Syariah, dan Indeks Religiusitas sebagai variabel eksogen dengan data sekunder pada tahun 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Spatial Autoregressive Model dan Indikator Lokal Autokorelasi Spasial melalui Analisis Spatial Rate untuk memprediksi spillover efek. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indeks Religiusitas dan Jaringan Kantor mempunyai pengaruh spasial terhadap dana haji. Selain itu, Provinsi Jawa Timur dan Jawa Tengah diperkirakan memiliki potensi yang kuat untuk memberikan efek limpahan dan berdampak pada wilayah sekitarnya untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dana haji yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines child protection in families affected by parental narcotics addiction from the perspective of Islamic law and its implementation in Langkat Regency, Indonesia. Using a normative-empirical legal approach, the research combines analysis of statutory regulations, classical Islamic jurisprudence, and the Compilation of Islamic Law with field data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that Islamic law regards children as a divine trust (amanah) whose protection aligns with the maqâṣid al-syarîʿah, particularly the preservation of life, intellect, and lineage. Parents addicted to narcotics violate both moral and legal obligations, endangering their children’s welfare. Indonesian legislation—particularly Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection and Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics—reflects similar principles, yet implementation in Langkat remains weak due to limited institutional capacity, poor coordination, and social stigma. Consequently, many children experience neglect and insufficient state protection. However, religious leaders and community organizations play a positive role in supporting affected families through preventive and rehabilitative programs. The study concludes that effective child protection requires integrating theological imperatives with national legal frameworks and strengthening community-based implementation. This research contributes to the discourse on harmonizing Islamic jurisprudence and national law to protect vulnerable children within Indonesia’s social and legal context. Penelitian ini mengkaji perlindungan anak dalam keluarga yang terdampak kecanduan narkotika oleh orang tua, ditinjau dari perspektif hukum Islam dan implementasinya di Kabupaten Langkat, Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan hukum yuridis-empiris, penelitian ini memadukan analisis terhadap peraturan perundang-undangan, literatur fikih klasik, serta Kompilasi Hukum Islam dengan data lapangan yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hukum Islam memandang anak sebagai amanah ilahi (amanah) yang wajib dilindungi sesuai dengan prinsip maqâṣid al-syarîʿah, khususnya pemeliharaan jiwa, akal, dan keturunan. Orang tua pecandu narkotika telah melanggar tanggung jawab moral dan hukum, sehingga mengancam kesejahteraan anak. Peraturan perundang-undangan Indonesia—terutama Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perlindungan Anak dan Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika—mencerminkan prinsip serupa, namun implementasinya di Langkat masih lemah akibat keterbatasan kapasitas kelembagaan, koordinasi yang kurang, dan stigma sosial. Akibatnya, banyak anak mengalami penelantaran dan minim perlindungan negara. Meskipun demikian, tokoh agama dan lembaga masyarakat memiliki peran positif dalam mendukung keluarga terdampak melalui program pencegahan dan rehabilitasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perlindungan anak yang efektif memerlukan integrasi antara imperatif teologis dan kerangka hukum nasional, serta penguatan implementasi berbasis komunitas. Kajian ini berkontribusi pada upaya harmonisasi hukum Islam dan hukum nasional dalam melindungi anak-anak rentan di konteks sosial-hukum Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contestation between substantive Islamic educational values and symbolic ceremonial practices in the Nemat Kaji tradition, a traditional wedding procession of the Malin Deman community in Mukomuko Regency, which represents a fusion of local culture and Islamic symbols. Through a qualitative approach using participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and literature studies, this study found that although the Nemat Kaji tradition upholds Islamic educational values in the aspects of faith, worship, and morals, there is a shift in meaning between generations. The older generation tends to maintain the spiritual meaning of religious symbols, while some of the younger generation sees them as formalistic customary obligations. The role of religious scholars is also divided between maintaining customary forms and encouraging the reform of religious symbols. This study concludes that the Nemat Kaji tradition is at the intersection of cultural preservation and the revitalization of Islamic values, which demands a more reflective and contextual approach to Islamic education. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the development of studies on local culture-based Islamic education and enrich the discourse on the dynamic relationship between custom and religion in the context of Indonesian Muslim society. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontestasi antara nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang bersifat substantif dengan praktik simbolik seremonial dalam tradisi Nemat Kaji dalam prosesi adat pernikahan masyarakat Malin Deman, Kabupaten Mukomuko, yang mempresentasikan perpaduan antara budaya lokal dan simbol-simbol keislaman. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi pustaka, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun tradisi Nemat Kaji menyimpan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam aspek akidah, ibadah, dan akhlak, terjadi pergeseran makna antar generasi. Generasi tua cenderung mempertahankan makna spiritual simbol-simbol religius, sedangkan sebagian generasi muda melihatnya sebagai kewajiban adat yang bersifat formalistik. Peran ulama pun terbagi antara mempertahankan bentuk adat dan mendorong reformasi simbol keagamaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi Nemat Kaji berada pada titik persilangan antara pelestarian budaya dan revitalisasi nilai Islam, yang menuntut pendekatan pendidikan Islam yang lebih reflektif dan kontekstual. Temuan ini berkontribusi secara teoretis bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam berbasis budaya lokal serta memperkaya diskursus tentang relasi dinamis antara tradisi dan agama dalam konteks masyarakat muslim Indonesia.

Abstract

This article explores how married Muslim women navigate the boundaries of gendered roles, as they combine professional careers and religious activism, and the implications of this negotiation about family welfare in contemporary Islamic law. Using a normative empirical methodology, it is an amalgamation of doctrine analysis of Islamic legal norms and field data on concrete career women practicing as activists in Islamic organizations in West Java, Indonesia. The conceptual framework is guided by Muhammad Shahrur’s Limit Theory (hadd al-adnâ and hadd al-a‘lâ) pursued alongside maqâṣid al-syarîʿah in order to determine demarcations between domestic duties as against public participation. To evaluate the substantive impact of women’s dual roles on family well-being, this study develops a maslahah-Based Family Welfare Index, incorporating core maqâṣid domains religion, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth alongside psychosocial indicators. The findings reveal that women’s participation in public and religious spheres does not inherently undermine Islamic family norms when conducted within flexible yet principled limits. Instead, optimal family welfare emerges when role negotiation is supported by spousal cooperation, institutional flexibility, and contextual legal interpretation. This study contributes to contemporary Islamic legal discourse by offering a measurable framework for assessing gendered role balance and by proposing a normative model that reconciles Islamic legal principles with evolving gender realities. It advances Islamic family law beyond rigid dichotomies by foregrounding substantive justice and contextual maslahah as central evaluative standards. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana wanita Muslim yang sudah menikah menavigasi batas-batas peran gender, saat mereka menggabungkan karir profesional dan aktivisme agama, dan implikasi dari negosiasi tentang kesejahteraan keluarga dalam hukum Islam kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan metodologi empiris normatif, ini merupakan penggabungan analisis doktrin norma hukum Islam dan data lapangan tentang perempuan karir konkret yang berpraktik sebagai aktivis di organisasi Islam di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Kerangka konseptual dipandu oleh Teori Batas Muhammad Shahrur (hadd al-adnâ dan hadd al-a'lâ) yang dikejar bersama maqâṣid al-syarîʿah untuk menentukan demarkasi antara tugas domestik terhadap partisipasi publik. Untuk mengevaluasi dampak substantif dari peran ganda perempuan terhadap kesejahteraan keluarga, penelitian ini mengembangkan Indeks Kesejahteraan Keluarga Berbasis maslahah, yang menggabungkan domain maqâṣid inti  agama, kehidupan, kecerdasan, keturunan, dan kekayaan di samping indikator psikososial. Temuan ini mengungkapkan bahwa partisipasi perempuan dalam bidang publik dan agama tidak secara inheren merusak norma-norma keluarga Islam ketika dilakukan dalam batas-batas yang fleksibel namun berprinsip. Sebaliknya, kesejahteraan keluarga yang optimal muncul ketika negosiasi peran didukung oleh kerja sama pasangan, fleksibilitas kelembagaan, dan interpretasi hukum kontekstual. Studi ini berkontribusi pada wacana hukum Islam kontemporer dengan menawarkan kerangka kerja yang terukur untuk menilai keseimbangan peran gender dan dengan mengusulkan model normatif yang mendamaikan prinsip-prinsip hukum Islam dengan realitas gender yang berkembang. Ini memajukan hukum keluarga Islam melampaui dikotomi yang kaku dengan mengedepankan keadilan substantif dan maslahah kontekstual sebagai standar evaluatif pusat.

Abstract

This article aims to conceptually analyze the dilemma of legal pluralism in the implementation of land certification policies and their impact on the existence of ulayat (communal) land in Minangkabau, which has historically been communal, matrilineally inherited, and governed through a customary legal system. Amid the state’s agrarian legal modernization, a significant research gap remains concerning how certification policies—centered on individualized land ownership—affect the communal ownership structure, social function of customary law, and the spiritual values of indigenous communities. This research employs a library-based method with an interdisciplinary approach, combining perspectives from customary law, national agrarian law, and Islamic law, specifically through the lenses of legal pluralism and maqâṣid al-syarîʿah. The findings indicate that certifying ulayat land under individual ownership not only weakens the authority of ninik mamak (customary leaders) as custodians of communal land but also degrades customary identity and accelerates the fragmentation of ownership into private holdings. Furthermore, no established legal model has been found capable of safeguarding communal land rights within Indonesia's current legal system. This study offers a responsive and contextual legal harmonization framework by integrating customary law recognition into land administration mechanisms and reinforcing the principle of al-milkiyyah al-musytarakah within the maqâṣid al-syarîʿah  paradigm to preserve ulayat land amidst growing agrarian liberalization.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara konseptual dilema pluralisme hukum yang muncul dalam implementasi kebijakan sertifikasi tanah terhadap eksistensi tanah ulayat Minangkabau yang secara historis bersifat komunal, diwariskan secara matrilineal, dan diatur melalui sistem hukum adat. Di tengah upaya modernisasi hukum agraria nasional, masih terdapat kesenjangan kajian terkait bagaimana kebijakan sertifikasi yang berorientasi pada individualisasi hak berdampak terhadap struktur kepemilikan kolektif, fungsi sosial adat, dan nilai-nilai spiritualitas masyarakat adat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan interdisipliner, menggabungkan perspektif hukum adat, hukum agraria nasional, dan hukum Islam, khususnya melalui lensa teori pluralisme hukum dan maqâṣid al-syarîʿah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi tanah ulayat atas nama individu tidak hanya melemahkan kewenangan ninik mamak sebagai pengelola tanah komunal, tetapi juga berpotensi mendegradasi identitas adat dan mempercepat fragmentasi kepemilikan yang bersifat privat. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa tidak terdapat model hukum baku yang mampu menjamin keberlanjutan hak komunal dalam sistem hukum nasional. Artikel ini menawarkan sebuah formulasi harmonisasi hukum yang responsif dan kontekstual melalui integrasi pengakuan hukum adat dalam administrasi pertanahan, serta penguatan nilai al-milkiyyah al-musytarakah dalam kerangka maqâṣid al-syarîʿah, untuk menjaga keberlangsungan tanah ulayat di tengah liberalisasi agraria.

Abstract

This study examines the development of istinbâṭ al-ahkâm related to the problems of contemporary Islamic family law contained in the Tanwirul Afkar magazine by Ma’had Aly Situbondo. This research is a qualitative research with data analysis using a content analysis approach. As a legal study, this research is included in Normative Islamic Law research by making Islamic legal norms as the object of research. Data were taken from the exploration of Tanwirul Afkar magazine. The results of this study, Ma’had Aly Situbondo carried out the development of istinbâṭ al-ahkâm in order to respond to the problems of Islamic family law so that legal decisions are relevant and in accordance with the demands of modern society today. Istinbâṭ al-ahkâm developed by Ma’had Aly Situbondo with three patterns, first; istinbâṭ al-aḥkâm al-jama’iy bi at-taqsîm, namely collective ijtihâd with division of tasks in tracing the source of legal decisions, second; carrying out scientific integration without being tied to a particular school of thought, and third; the application of ushuli reasoning which makes ushul fiqh, fiqh principles, and maqȃsid al-syarîʿah as tools in analyzing and answering problems. Based on this, Ma’had Aly Situbondo has characteristics or distinctive features in the istinbȃṭ al-aḥkȃm that is developed, namely collective-integrative ijtihâd and the application of ushuli reasoning. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengembangan istinbȃṭ al-aḥkȃm terkait problematika hukum keluarga Islam kontemporer yang terdapat dalam majalah Tanwirul Afkar karya Ma’had Aly Situbondo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis data menggunakan pendekatan content analysis (kajian isi). Sebagai kajian hukum, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian hukum Islam normatif dengan menjadikan norma-norma hukum Islam sebagai obyek penelitian. Data-data diambil dari eksplorasi majalah Tanwirul Afkar. Hasil penelitian ini, Ma’had Aly Situbondo melakukan pengembangan istinbȃṭ al-ahkȃm dalam rangka merespon problematika hukum keluarga Islam agar putusan hukum relevan dan sesuai dengan tuntutan kehidupan masyarakat modern saat ini. Istinbȃṭ al-aḥkȃm yang dikembangkan Ma’had Aly Situbondo dengan tiga pola, pertama ; istinbȃṭ al-aḥkâm al-jama’iy bi at-taqsîm, yaitu ijtihâd kolektif dengan pembagian tugas dalam pelacakan sumber putusan hukum, kedua; melakukan integrasi keilmuan dengan tidak terikat kepada mazhab tertentu, dan ketiga; penerapan nalar ushuli dimana menjadikan ushul fikih, kaidah fikih, dan maqâsid al-syarîʿah sebagai perangkat dalam menganalisa dan menjawab permasalahan. Dari hal ini, Ma’had Aly Situbondo memiliki karakteristik atau ciri khas dalam istinbâṭ al-aḥkâm yang dikembangkan, yaitu ijtihâd kolektif-integratif dan penerapan nalar ushuli.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of religious moderation course services—namely course materials, learning strategies, and learning environment—on students' moderate behaviour, mediated by their attitudes. The research was conducted at UIN Walisongo with a sample of 215 students who had taken the course "Islam and Religious Moderation." The collected data were analyzed using regression analysis, F-test, t-test, and path analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 23. The findings reveal varying relationships among course materials, learning strategies, learning environment, attitudes, and moderate behaviour. Simultaneously, course materials, learning strategies, and learning environment significantly influence students' moderate attitudes. However, only learning strategies do not significantly affect students' moderate attitudes when examined individually. Furthermore, in different patterns, course materials, learning strategies, learning environment, and moderate attitudes collectively influence students' moderate behaviour, yet only learning strategies individually influence moderate behaviour. Additionally, only course materials and learning environment affect moderate behaviour through students' moderate attitudes. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing course services to foster students' moderate attitudes and behaviours, both directly and indirectly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh layanan perkuliahan moderasi beragama (materi kuliah, strategi pembelajaran, lingkungan belajar) terhadap perilaku moderat yang dimediasi dengan sikap moderat mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa UIN Walisongo dengan jumlah sampel 215 mahasiswa yang telah mengambil mata kuliah “Islam dan Moderasi Beragama.” Data-data yang terkumpulkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan model analisis regresi, f test, t test, dan path analysis yang dibantu dengan program SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan yang bervariasi antara variabel materi kuliah, strategi pembelajaran, lingkungan belajar, sikap, dan perilaku moderat. Secara simultan materi kuliah, strategi pembelajaran, dan lingkungan belajar mempengaruhi sikap moderat mahasisiwa, namun secara parsial hanya strategi pembelajaran yang tidak mempengaruhi sikap moderat mahasiswa. Secara simultan materi belajar, strategi pembelajaran, lingkungan belajar, dan sikap moderat, dalam pola yang berbeda, mempengaruhi perilaku moderat mahaiswa, namun hanya strategi pembelajaran yang mempengaruhi perilaku moderat mahasiswa. Selanjutnya hanya materi belajar dan lingkungan belajar yang mempengaruhi perilaku moderat melalui sikap moderat mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian ini mengaskan perlunya penyempurnaan layanan perkuliahan agar membentuk sikap dan perilaku moderat mahasiswa secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.
