Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the project based learning model on student motivation and learning outcomes. in a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was 75 students consisting of 2 classes at SMA Muhammadiah – 7 Serbelawan for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research sample was 75 students consisting of 2 classes, Student motivation is measured using a questionnaire while learning outcomes are measured using a multiple choice test. Next, the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis by carrying out analytical prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence in using the project based learning model on student learning motivation with a probability value of 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) and tcount (0, 511) > ttable(1,666) and it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means there is a significant influence using a project based learning model on student learning outcomes with a probability value of 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) and tcount 9,906 > ttable 3,122

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether pop-up book media assisted by the application of the project-based earning model can be said to be feasible as a learning medium and to determine the increase in the creative dimension of students. This research uses ADDIE development research design and classroom action research (PTK). The results of this study showed a percentage of 86% for media experts who could be categorized as very feasible, 92% for material experts who could be categorized as very feasible, 91% for student responses who were included in the very feasible category. The results of this study also show that there is an increase in the creative dimension of students which can be seen from the acquisition of data in cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I there were 8 students who had criteria to develop according to expectations with a percentage of 32%, then in cycle II as many as 24 students who had criteria to develop very well with a percentage of 96%. So it can be concluded that the media developed in the form of pop-up book media assisted by the project based learning model can be said to be feasible as a learning medium and can increase the creative dimension of students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes and media effectiveness after implementing ICT-based learning media. This research is a quasi-experiment in a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was 75 students consisting of 3 classes at the Family Education Foundation Middle School for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research sample was 50 students consisting of 2 classes, samples were taken using cluster random sampling techniques. Learning outcomes are measured using a multiple choice test, while media effectiveness is measured using a questionnaire. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive by carrying out analysis prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of this research show that there is a significant increase in the implementation of ICT-based learning media on student learning outcomes with a probability value of 0.001 < 0.05 and tcount (3,474) > ttable (2,010) and it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. H0 is rejected, which means it can be concluded that There is a significant increase in student learning outcomes after implementing ICT-based learning media and the results of this research show that the percentage of media effectiveness is 82% for media experts who can be categorized as effective, 84% for student responses which are also ncluded in the effective category.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of environmentally based learning in improving students' environmental care attitudes and science process skills. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of middle school students who were divided into a control group with a sample size of N=30 and an experimental group with a sample size of N=30. The experimental group received environment-based learning, while the control group received conventional learning. Data was collected through environmental care attitude questionnaires and science process skills tests using observation sheets, which were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The research results show that environment-based learning significantly increases environmental care attitudes in accordance with the results of hypothesis testing with a smaller significance value of  = 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) with df = 29. The research results show that environment-based learning significantly increases improve science process skills. according to research results with a smaller significance value of  = 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) with df = 29. Students involved in environmental-based learning show increased understanding of environmental issues, motivation to participate in activities environmental conservation, as well as the ability to observe, classify and interpret scientific data. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of integrating environment-based learning in the education curriculum, as an effort to grow a generation that cares more about the environment and has adequate science process skills.

Abstract

Development of Worksheet Based on The Larning Cycle 5E Model on Biotechnologycal Material, The development of LKS based on the 5E learning cycle on biotechnology material at Kartika 1-4 Pematangsiantar Private High School was motivated by the learning process which so far only used printed books and the use of LKS which was less interesting. This research aims to: 1) Find out the feasibility of the 5E learning cycle based LKS, 2) Find out students' responses to the 5E learning cycle based LKS being developed. The data collection instruments used in this research were validation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The validation results from two validators obtained an averege score of 85.3% in the Very Decent category, and the results based on students obtained an average score of 89.7% in the very good category. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: 1) LKS based on the 5E learning cycle on biotechnology material developed at Kartika 1-4 Pematangsiantar Private High School are suitable for use, 2) Students' responses to the LKS based on the 5E learning cycle are very good

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of PjBL-based practicum guidance on students' science process skills and to determine the results of students' science process skills scores. The research population was 224 students consisting of 7 classes at SMP N 7 Pematang Siantar for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research sample was 32 students consisting of 1 class, the sample was taken using a cluster random sampling technique. The results of the feasibility of the practicum guide are measured using expert validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of students' science process skill scores are measured using observation sheets. Furthermore, the data obtained from the expert validation sheet is 93% ecologist with a very feasible category, 89% material expert with a very feasible category. The student response was 91% in the very good category, the application score was 86% in the very good category, and the students' science process skills score was 75% in the good category

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using used goods as a science learning medium on respiratory system material in developing the creative thinking abilities of class VIII students at Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School. The method used is a quantitative approach, experimental method. Data collection techniques in this research are pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique carried out in this research consists of 2 stages, namely prerequisite testing and hypothesis testing. using the SPSS 2.3 for Windows program. From the results of the linearity test, it is known that the two variables (media use and creative thinking ability) have a significant linear relationship. From the results of the normality and homogeneity tests, it was obtained that the control and experimental class data were normally distributed and had the same variance (homogeneous). From the results of hypothesis testing with the t test, it is obtained that t count (2.824) > t table (1.701), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an influence on the use of used goods as knowledge. learning media in developing creative thinking abilities of class VIII students at Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School. Based on the F test that has been carried out, the calculated F is 23.603 so the df is 28 and the real level is 5% so the F table is 4.210. F count > F table then Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence if learning is carried out using used media in class VIII on the human respiratory system material at the Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School in Bandar Tongah. It was concluded that there was an influence of using used goods as a science learning medium in developing the creative thinking abilities of class VIII students at the Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School in Bandar Tongah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the group investigation model based on herbarium media using the PictureThis-Plant Identifier application on students' creativity and learning outcomes. This research is a field research with a quantitative approach using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design. The results showed that the implementation of the group investigation model based on herbarium media using the PictureThis-Plant Identifier application had a significant effect on increasing students' learning creativity. This is indicated by the value of tcount > ttable (45.443 > 1.681) at a significance level of 0.05. The experimental class using this learning model had a higher average score of learning creativity compared to the control class. The implementation of the group investigation model based on herbarium media using the PictureThisPlant Identifier application also had a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes. The data analysis showed that the value of tcount > ttable (92.217 > 1.681) at a significance level of 0.05. The average posttest score of the experimental class (82.50) was higher than the control class (77.50).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on the science learning outcomes of class VIII students at YPI Dharma Budi Private Middle School, Sidamanik District, Academic Year 2023/2024. The population in this study were all class VIII students consisting of 2 classes with a total of 60 students. Sampling was carried out using non-probability sampling, saturated sampling or total sampling. Data analysis was carried out by determining the validity test, reliability test, linearity test, normality test, homogeneity test, R2 test, and hypothesis test, proven by the "t test" at a significance level of α = 0.05. From the research results, the average pretest score for the experimental class was 51.17 and the control class was 48.50. The average posttest score for the experimental class was 84.67 while the control class was 80.33 with a difference of 4.34. From the results of hypothesis testing using the t test, tcount (2.244) ˃ ttable (2.001), then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is an influence of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on the science learning outcomes of class VIII students at YPI Dharma Private Middle School. Budi, Sidamanik District. And the results of this research show that the influence of the SAVI learning model on the science learning outcomes of class VIII students at Sw YPI Dharma Budi Sidamanik Middle School is 64.2%. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on the science learning outcomes of class VIII students at YPI Dharma Budi Private Middle School, Sidamanik District, amounting to 64.2%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an improvement in students' learning communication skills after implementing the Talking Stick model based on animation media on the Animal Kingdom topic in grade 10 of SMA YPK Pematangsiantar. The sample in this study was class X MIPA 3 as the experimental class, with 33 students who were given treatment using the Talking Stick model based on animation media, and class X MIPA 2 as the control class, with 33 students who were given treatment using lecture or conventional methods. This study was a quasi-experimental study. Data analysis was performed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, n-gain scores, and t-tests at a significance level of α = 0.05. The calculations obtained an average pretest score for the control class (X MIPA 2) of 40.96, and for the experimental class (X MIPA 3) of 43.15. The average posttest score for the control class (X MIPA 2) was 70.84, and for the experimental class (X MIPA 3) of 83.27. The t-test analysis for the data on students' learning communication skills yielded a t-sig = 0.000. The criterion is that if the sig. value is <0.05, then Ho is rejected. The significance value of equal variances assumed is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there has been an improvement in students' learning communication skills using the Talking Stick learning model on the Animal Kingdom topic in grade 10 of SMA YPK Pematangsiantar.
