Abstract

: This study aims to identify and analyze innovative blended teaching strategies to enhance student engagement in Malaysian higher education institutions. By integrating face-to-face and online learning methods, the study emphasizes the application of technology and interactive approaches to foster active student participation in the learning process. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with lecturers and students alongside observations of teaching practices across several Malaysian higher education institutions. The findings reveal that leveraging digital platforms such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional videos, and project-based learning that combine online and in-person activities can significantly improve student engagement. Students with reliable access to technology and comfort in using online platforms exhibit higher participation in discussions and assignments, whereas those with limited access tend to be less engaged. The study also highlights the critical importance of continuous technology training for lecturers and the provision of equitable resources for students to ensure the success of blended learning initiatives. Consequently, it underscores the necessity of integrating innovative teaching strategies with robust technological support to enhance the quality of education in Malaysian higher education institutions.

Abstract

Incorporating global competencies into teacher training is a vital strategy to equip educators with the skills necessary to meet the demands of 21st-century classrooms. These competencies—such as global awareness, intercultural communication, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding—play a crucial role in creating inclusive and dynamic learning environments. This study adopts a library research approach, analyzing various academic sources, journals, and reports relevant to teacher training and the development of global competencies. The research aims to emphasize the significance of these competencies in teacher preparation, explore effective teaching methods, identify challenges in implementation, and assess their effects on both educators and students. The findings indicate that experiential learning and the integration of educational technology are among the most effective strategies for fostering global competencies in teacher training programs. Despite these advances, obstacles such as limited resources, inadequate funding, and a shortage of qualified trainers remain challenges. Teachers who complete this training demonstrate better management of classroom diversity and are more adept at teaching global issues. Students taught by these educators show improvements in critical thinking and social empathy. This study highlights the need for policies that support global competency-based teacher training, the creation of interactive training materials, and the promotion of international collaborations. The results suggest that a comprehensive approach to educational reform is essential for preparing teachers to meet the evolving needs of contemporary classrooms and to build inclusive, sustainable societies.

Abstract

The medical and social issues surrounding hymenoplasty, a procedure aimed at restoring the hymen, have sparked controversy, particularly within Muslim communities. This practice is often driven by social and aesthetic pressures, with the hymen being viewed as a symbol of a woman's purity and morality. However, the procedure raises complex ethical dilemmas, both medically and socially, that require thorough examination within the context of Islamic law. This study aims to explore the controversy surrounding hymenoplasty from the perspective of Islamic law, with a focus on applying the principle of Saddu Al-Dhara’i as a tool to assess the legitimacy of this practice. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review, analyzing relevant texts to explore Islamic viewpoints on the issue. The findings indicate that Islamic law views hymenoplasty as a practice that can lead to misuse, particularly if it is used to conceal behavior contrary to Islamic moral values, such as adultery. Through the principle of Saddu Al-Dhara’i, this procedure can be seen as an action that should be limited in order to prevent greater harm to individuals and society. The study also highlights the importance of integrating this issue into Islamic education to provide a deeper understanding of Sharia values in everyday life. Thus, this research contributes to the formation of a contextual perspective in Islamic education, which combines legal, social, and ethical aspects.

Abstract

The application of GeoGebra in teaching still faces challenges such as teacher readiness and the availability of technology in schools, especially in mathematics learning. This research examines the correlation of the GeoGebra application to the mathematics learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Realistic Mathematic Education learning model. This research was conducted at SDN 074 Ayudia, Bandung City using quantitative methods with a non-experimental approach. The population in this study were all students at SDN 074 Ayudia with a sample of 27 students in class VI B and the instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The sampling technique was carried out using a probability sampling technique based on cluster sampling. Meanwhile, the swimmer test from the data analysis carried out was a normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov assisted by the SPSS application. In this research, it can be concluded that there is no significant correlation between the application of Geogebra to the mathematics learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) model, and the correlation is classified as very low. For further research, it is hoped that we can use other learning models to see the influence that occurs between the application of the Geogebra application in mathematics learning to see special equations in simple linear regression to be able to know the probability of the independent variable and the dependent variable.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of student delinquency at MTs Al-Iman Mukomuko and to examine the effectiveness of the efforts made by Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in addressing these issues. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive methodology. The subjects of the study include BK teachers, students, and related parties at MTs Al-Iman Mukomuko. Additional data collection methods used in this study are observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis involves data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification. The researcher acts as the primary instrument, supported by tools such as interview guidelines, observation sheets, and questionnaires. At MTs Al-Iman Mukomuko, guidance and counseling (BK) management has demonstrated positive results in addressing student delinquency. This indicates that the approaches employed by BK teachers are effective in dealing with various issues faced by students. However, this study also highlights that increasing parental involvement is crucial for the success of the BK program. Parents who actively participate in the guidance and counseling process can provide additional support to students, enhance their sense of care, and contribute to emotional stability. To achieve better outcomes, it is also essential to optimize available resources, including community support and facilities.
