Abstract

Success of madrasas is no longer determined by academic quality, but rather by the ability to build a distinctive institutional identity as a foundation for shaping their image and gaining public trust. However, studies examining religious programs as a hallmark of identity in developing madrasah image are still relatively limited. This study aims to analyze how the Dhuha Prayer and Bahtsul Masail programs shape the identity of excellence of MTs Cipasung and its contribution to the development of the madrasah's image. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the Dhuha Prayer program forms a religious culture through the habituation of worship, discipline, and teacher role models, while Bahtsul Masail serves as a forum for strengthening Islamic scholarly traditions that develop critical thinking skills and solve contemporary scientific problems. The consistent implementation of both programs creates a distinctive identity that distinguishes MTs Cipasung from other madrasas. This identity contributes to the development of the madrasah's image, as evidenced by increased public trust, increased student outreach from outside the pesantren, and positive recommendations from alumni. These findings confirm that sustainable religious programs not only shape student character but also serve as an effective strategy for building institutional identity, strengthening the madrasah's image, and enhancing the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions. Moreover, this study makes a specific contribution to the field of Islamic educational management by demonstrating that religious programmes, particularly Shalat Dhuha and Bahtsul Masail, play a significant role in shaping institutional identity and strengthening the image of madrasahs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Kitabah and Miftah methods within the HQ4T program to improve the quality of Qur’anic memorization among students at Pesantren Nurul Qur’an III Bekasi. This study employed a qualitative approach using observation and interview techniques. The findings indicate that the integration of the two methods is systematically implemented through the four components of HQ4T: Tilawah, Tafhim, Tahfiz, and Tatbiq. The Kitabah method is implemented through the gradual writing of Qur’anic verses to strengthen memorization retention and accuracy, while the Miftah method is employed to enhance students’ Arabic language competence and understanding of the grammatical structure and meaning of Qur’anic verses. The integration of both methods is reinforced through Qur’anic journals, memorization recitation sessions, juz advancement assessments, and the implementation of Tatbiq in daily life. The findings demonstrate that this model not only supports the quality and retention of Qur’anic memorization but also promotes understanding, internalization, and actualization of Qur’anic values. Thus, the integration of the Kitabah and Miftah methods within the HQ4T program provides a more comprehensive approach to Qur’anic memorization by integrating recitation, memorization, comprehension, and practical application.

Abstract

Digital issues, such as the negative impacts of social media, online gambling and online lending, have now become a major driver of the rise in divorce cases. This study aims to analyse the prevention strategies implemented by Islamic religious counsellors in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province to minimise divorce in the digital age. This study employs a qualitative field study methodology. Data were collected through in depth interviews with 15 Islamic religious counsellors (Functional, PPPK, and noncivil servants), media observation, and case documentation, and were subsequently analysed using the Miles and Huberman model. The research findings indicate that Islamic religious counsellors (PAI practitioners) apply a hybrid counselling model: (1) optimising structured face to face services through marriage counselling, community groups, Majelis Ta’lim, and KUA counselling; and (2) activating online outreach services via WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. However, these strategies are hampered by disparities in digital competence across generations of counsellors, as well as infrastructure limitations. This study concludes that there is an urgent need to standardise the curriculum for online counselling based outreach services in order to strengthen family resilience in this era of disruption.
