Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bermula dari ditemukannya toko penjual buket yang cukup dikenal masyarakat di sebuah desa yaitu desa Darungan Kab Jember yakni toko Lila’s Collection. Setelah melalui observasi, fakta yang ditemukan penjual mempromosikan buket melalui pemanfaatan toko, status whatsApp dan Instagram. Terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh penjual sehingga dibutuhkan strategi lain untuk memudahkan dalam melakukan promosi, salah satunya dengan mengenalkan WhatsApp Business yang lebih memudahkan dalam mempromosikan produk yang dijual. Kegiatan pertama diberikan penjelasan tentang WhatsApp Business, fitur-fitur yang ditawarkan didalamnya, bagaimana cara penggunaannya serta manfaat apa saja yang didapat oleh penjual dengan memanfaatan WhatsApp business dalam promosi penjualan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendampingan dan pelatihan secara langsung atau participatory rural approach. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang cara penggunaan WhatsApp Business dan penyetingan setiap fitur didalamnya serta menambah keterampilan digital. Akan tetapi, terdapat kendala dibutuhkannya memori atau Ram besar untuk penggunakaan aplikasi tersebut sehingga kinerja Handphone yang digunakan agak berat.

Abstract

This PkM activity explores culture & local wisdom in education through the practice of washing parents' feet at Bina Bakti Elementary School in Kubu Raya. This tradition serves not only as a symbol of respect but also as a medium for imparting moral and ethical values to students. In the community context, washing parents' feet symbolizes gratitude and recognition of the sacrifices and contributions parents make in educating their children. The research methods used include observation and interviews involving students, parents, and teachers. The findings indicate that this practice is effective in building students' character, enhancing discipline, and strengthening intergenerational relationships. Furthermore, this tradition fosters a positive and respectful school environment. By integrating culture & local wisdom into the educational curriculum, Bina Bakti Elementary School not only preserves culture but also instills essential values crucial for children's development. This research is expected to provide insights for educators and stakeholders to explore and leverage culture & local wisdom in the learning process.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peningkatan penghasilan masyarakat merupakan tantangan penting dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal, terutama di daerah dengan potensi pertanian yang melimpah. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan metode Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) dalam pengolahan jagung sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat melalui inovasi produk nugget jagung. ABCD menekankan pemanfaatan kekuatan dan sumber daya yang sudah ada dalam komunitas untuk mendorong pengembangan yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan identifikasi aset komunitas, termasuk keterampilan manusia, fasilitas fisik, jaringan sosial, dan sumber daya finansial. Aset-aset ini dianalisis untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan proses pengolahan jagung menjadi nugget. Fokus utama meliputi pengembangan resep nugget yang sesuai dengan selera pasar, pelatihan keterampilan pengolahan makanan dan manajemen usaha, serta strategi pemasaran dan distribusi yang efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan aset lokal, seperti keterampilan pengolahan makanan dan fasilitas pengolahan yang ada, serta dengan dukungan dari jaringan sosial dan modal komunitas, usaha nugget jagung dapat dikembangkan secara efektif. Implementasi strategi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat tetapi juga memberdayakan komunitas melalui peningkatan kapasitas dan keterampilan. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan ABCD terbukti menjadi metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan kekuatan dan sumber daya lokal dalam pengolahan jagung menjadi nugget. Rencana keberlanjutan dan strategi ekspansi yang diterapkan juga menunjukkan potensi untuk pengembangan usaha yang berkelanjutan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan komunitas secara keseluruhan. Abstract

This community service research aims to introduce and preserve Indonesian culture among students at the Indonesian School in Tokyo (Sekolah Republik Indonesia Tokyo - SRIT) through the dissemination of traditional children's songs. The program, conducted from May 13 to 18, 2024, employed an interactive and structured approach. Activities included providing song guidebooks, introducing traditional musical instruments, and conducting group singing sessions. The results demonstrated that this approach successfully enhanced students’ understanding of Indonesian cultural identity, strengthened their sense of nationalism, and broadened their cultural awareness. Additionally, the program fostered character building and increased students’ appreciation for Indonesia’s cultural heritage. The initiative aligns with theories of character and arts education, as well as public policies supporting cultural preservation mandated by Law No. 5 of 2017 on Cultural Advancement. This program not only plays a vital role in maintaining cultural identity amidst globalization but also strengthens ties between the central government and its overseas representatives in cultural preservation efforts.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki keterkaitan yang erat dengan pentingnya kemampuan berbicara di depan umum, sebuah aspek keterampilan interpersonal yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan individu. Dalam proses pendidikan, individu tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan akademis, tetapi juga diajarkan cara menyampaikan ide dan gagasan dengan efektif kepada orang lain. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengatasi kecemasan siswa dan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi mereka. Penulis melakukan observasi awal terlebih dahulu untuk memahami permasalahan siswa di sekolah terkait kemampuan berkomunikasi, khususnya dalam berbicara di depan umum (public speaking). Observasi ini disesuaikan dengan keahlian penulis, yang berfokus pada ilmu komunikasi, terutama dalam bidang kebahasaan dan public speaking. Setelah berhasil merumuskan permasalahan, penulis memilih SMA Erenos Pamulang sebagai sekolah yang akan menjadi fokus intervensi. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan Public Speaking ditemukan bahwa secara keseluruhan, semangat dan antusiasme para peserta yang terdiri dari kelas X-XII, mencakup gabungan jurusan IPA dan IPS, sangat tinggi. Mereka menunjukkan proaktivitas yang signifikan untuk memberikan yang terbaik sesuai dengan konten public speaking yang telah siswa pilih.

Abstract

Understanding and communicating stories is one of the fundamental literacy skills needed by the Dukuh Kupang PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) group. These problems create obstacles in optimising the activities carried out and hinder the creation of innovations to improve the PKK program. The purpose of this service is to help PKK Dukuh Kupang members improve basic literacy skills, especially reading comprehension, comprehension and communication skills through storytelling competitions. The methods used include observation to investigate the problem, collaboration with stakeholders, conducting public relations activities, holding a competition, establishing a sustainability programme, and monitoring and evaluation. Thanks to this service, the literacy level of PKK cadres who participated in the short story writing competition increased significantly. This can be seen from the comparison of the ability to understand information and communication before and after the convention of 20 administrators representing Dukuh Kupang Sub-district. This increase in ability is related to storytelling competition metrics such as narrative weight (30%), rhetoric (30%), language and communication (20%), and creativity (20%). Based on the evaluation results, all teams as participants obtained the lowest score (85%) with the category "Good". In addition, this programme will also result in a strong and strategic cooperation with the Kapanewong Beruba government to implement charitable programmes related to improving the literacy skills of PKK cadres in the future.

Abstract

Pelatihan penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dosen dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi modern ke dalam proses pendidikan. Dengan metode Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), kegiatan ini dirancang berdasarkan kebutuhan dan potensi tenaga pengajar. Pelaksanaan melibatkan lima tahap: Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, dan Destiny, yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan materi, hingga implementasi pelatihan. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan AI untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan relevan. Pelatihan ini mendukung perguruan tinggi dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital dan menghasilkan lulusan yang kompetitif di tingkat global.

Abstract

School libraries play a vital role in supporting the learning process, enhancing students' reading interest, and fostering a culture of literacy. However, at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level, library management still faces several challenges, such as limited book collections, poorly arranged spaces, and low utilization by students and teachers. A mentoring program was carried out to strengthen the library’s role as a school literacy center. The program consisted of three main stages: needs analysis, workshops, and implementation. The analysis phase identified existing problems, the workshop phase provided training for librarians and teachers on library management and digitalization, and the implementation phase focused on reorganizing the space, updating the book collection, and conducting literacy programs. The results showed significant improvements in the competencies of library staff, optimization of library services, and increased student enthusiasm for using the library. The program also encouraged teachers to integrate library use into the learning process. Thus, the mentoring activities effectively strengthened the literacy culture and established the school library as a sustainable learning center in the MI environment.

Abstract

This community service project aims to enhance the competence of Indonesian language teachers in integrating Augmented Reality (AR) technology into the learning process. The methods employed include participatory training, hands-on media development using Assemblr Edu, and continuous mentoring through both face-to-face and online sessions. These three methods are systematically integrated: the training provides theoretical and technical foundations, the hands-on sessions build practical skills in AR media development, and the mentoring ensures sustainable implementation and adaptation to classroom challenges. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in applying AR, as reflected in pre- and post-test score gains and the production of concrete learning modules. The application of these AR-based media in classrooms has created a more interactive and contextual learning environment, increasing students’ engagement and comprehension of Indonesian language content. In the long term, this initiative has the potential to foster a culture of innovation within partner schools, enhance teachers’ digital literacy, and expand the adoption of educational technology. The availability of AR modules, documentation of best practices, and sustained mentoring are key factors in ensuring the long-term benefits of this program.

Abstract

The Digital Library "Lentera Ilmu" MI Baitussalam has several programs, where after further study, the programs carried out are more focused on solving problems in learning. However, the habituation stage of library visits as a source of many books is still not optimal. The habituation stage is still not maximized in the entire program in the digital library "Lentera Ilmu" MI Baitussalam. Librarians and teachers do not know and understand the compulsory reading curriculum program. Therefore, the service team carried out this activity to maximizing the digital library of the MI Baitussalam Lantern of Knowledge This activity was carried out during July-August 2023. The methods used to achieve the goals of service are conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with related institutions and agencies, conducting socialization to teachers and librarians related to the Compulsory Reading Curriculum program, designing the Compulsory Reading Curriculum (KWB) program that is tailored to the circumstances of MI Baitussalam, conducting simulations of program implementation, evaluations and reports. Service activities are carried out systematically and receive quite high appreciation from the madrasah, as evidenced by the active participation of teachers and librarians during this service activity. The community service program has been carried out well and smoothly, and this service activity also produces a product, namely a reading track sheet with the title "Bacaanku Hari Ini" to monitor students' reading results and a compulsory reading curriculum guidebook that can be used by librarians and teachers in running the compulsory reading curriculum at school.
