Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) is a program that utilizes land in the yard, garden, or field to grow plants with healing properties or medicinal uses. In this community service, the main target community is PKK mothers in Jambon Hamlet, Babadan, Sambi District, Boyolali Regency. This service program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of housewives about the benefits and functions of TOGA scientifically and improve skills in planting family medicinal plants. The training is carried out by providing facilities and infrastructure for service activities to improve the community's ability and skills in TOGA management. The majority of participants achieved a high level of knowledge represented by 11 people. The results of this service program have shown positive results in improving the communities' ability and skill in managing TOGA. In addition, the ease of planting and maintaining these plants, coupled with the fertile condition of the village land makes TOGA cultivation feasible and promising.

Abstract

This service aims to improve the understanding and skills of State Elementary School (SDN) 03 Makamhaji teachers in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technology in the learning process. The program presented is implemented through education, training and workshops on using Lumio and Wordwall learning media. The approach covers various activities, including coordination, implementation of activities, data collection, reporting, monitoring and return visits. The methods used include lectures, tutorials, simulations, and question-and-answer sessions to ensure maximum effectiveness and interaction from participants. The evaluation shows that SDN 03 Makamhaji teachers are starting to use the Lumio and Wordwall applications, even though there are still technical obstacles and students' readiness to face digital learning. The use of these applications is not yet fully integrated into the learning process but provides variety and increases student involvement.

Abstract

Websites are one of the information technologies that can be easily found online. The website presents internet users with various information, services, products, or content. Website creation can be done for a fee or for free. Knowledge of information technology is essential for young people (teenagers). However, none of the youth in Terban Hamlet know about website development. Therefore, Terban Hamlet does not yet have a Hamlet website as one of the media to broadcast information and Hamlet activities. Therefore, training on website creation and management is needed for the youth of Terban Hamlet. The purpose of the activity is to train Terban Hamlet teenagers in creating and managing websites using the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). This activity was carried out directly with the participation of 12 "FRISTA" teenagers. Making a website begins with a needs survey, followed by preparation and making materials. The survey is carried out offline and ends with a question-and-answer session. The output of this training is that teenagers in Terban Hamlet (FRISTA) can create and manage Hamlet's websites and personal websites.

Abstract

In the business world in Indonesia, many problems are currently being faced, one of which is intense product competition in the marketing realm with large companies whose products meet quality standards. The need for more expertise of MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) in improving product quality is the cause of this problem. This study aims to provide training on optimizing MSME products through logo design and product packaging. The method used is PAR (Participatory Action Research), which involves planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The number of subjects was 24 MSME actors in Kalijambe Village. KKN students took the initiative to hold logo and packaging design training by inviting entrepreneurship experts and academics from UIN Salatiga, and the result was that MSMEs in Kalijambe Village, whose product packaging was initially less attractive, became more attractive.

Abstract

Nutrition plays a vital role in the human life cycle. Malnutrition in infants and toddlers can hinder their growth and development, which, if not addressed, can continue into adulthood, preventing them from reaching optimal potential. Therefore, it is essential to provide quality complementary breast milk (MP-ASI) from 6 months to 24 months while continuing to provide breast milk until 24 months or more. Insufficient nutritional intake during the first 1000 days of life can cause stunting, a condition where a child has a height below WHO growth standards. In Citro Hamlet, several stunted toddlers were found. To overcome this problem, UIN Salatiga students suggested an intervention in the form of training in making catfish nuggets, which are a source of high-quality protein and other essential nutrients. The method used during implementation involved a socialization approach, training, and a demonstration of making catfish nuggets. The activity succeeded in improving the skills of Posyandu participants in preventing stunting. This training also helps mothers provide unique forms of food that children like.

Abstract

One method of cultivating herbal plants is creating a living pharmacy. A living pharmacy involves using land to grow medicinal plants that can be used for daily needs. Some examples of plants that can be cultivated in a living pharmacy are ginger, galangal, turmeric, and lesser galangal. Establishing a living pharmacy boosts the immune system and is an alternative to herbal medicine. This community service initiative aims to educate the residents of Dusun Mranggen about the benefits, planting techniques, maintenance, and utilization of these medicinal plants. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which combines research and action to raise critical awareness and improve conditions and practices through changes within a specific community. As a result, the community has better understood how to grow and utilize herbal plants. It has successfully used available land around their homes to plant medicinal plants that benefit their health.

Abstract

Tenggok is a handicraft made manually, functioning as a container or place to carry goods and equipment. Tegaron Village is one of the villages in Banyubiru District, Semarang Regency, which produces bags made from bamboo. Sales of Tenggok are still relatively low because they are only sold to local people. This is due to the lack of knowledge regarding marketing strategies and the use of technology in marketing products. This research aims to introduce digital marketing methods to UMKM in Tegaron village to increase sales in the modern market. A survey involving approximately 25 UMKM actors active in the making of Tenggok showed that they still use social media minimally. It could be said that no one uses social media because most don't know about it. The research results show that this socialization is useful in opening insight into digital literacy. UMKM players can accept and view the importance of the influence of social media as a productivity tool and implement it well with appropriate policies.

Abstract

Used cooking oil has long been a household waste that is left unutilized, which can lead to environmental pollution. This activity aims to provide education and skills in making dishwashing soap from used cooking oil waste. The community service was conducted in Catak Madyocondro Hamlet, Secang, Magelang. The activity was carried out in the form of direct training for members of the Family Welfare Program (PKK) and housewives residing in the area. The soap made from used cooking oil was then tested for its foaming ability and cleaning effectiveness. The dishwashing soap-making training received a positive response. It provided both knowledge and skills to the residents of Catak Hamlet in processing used cooking oil waste into dishwashing soap that is safe to use.

Abstract

Kebondowo Village, Banyubiru District, Semarang Regency, is known for its natural resource of durian. Until now, the people of Kebondowo Village have only sold durians without processing them further. During durian season, durian seed waste is abundant but remains unused by the community despite durian seeds containing nutritional value and health benefits. Therefore, an initiative to process durian seeds into chips is necessary, as it not only addresses the issue of waste but also helps stimulate the local economy. This community service project was carried out through preparation, production, and training. The outcome of this activity was the successful processing of durian seed waste into a valuable economic product. Durian seed chips can be sold as a snack with high demand in the market. Consequently, processing durian seeds into chips provides a business opportunity and additional income for local farmers or community members involved in the production process. This initiative is expected to equip the community, especially housewives/homemakers, with the knowledge to turn durian seeds into a business opportunity. Furthermore, it is hoped that durian seed chips can become a signature snack of Kebondowo Village, serving as a souvenir and potentially being marketed beyond the local area.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) support the national and regional economy. In this digital era, the knowledge and expertise of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the regions regarding technological developments and the application of digitalization in marketing strategies for a business are still very lacking, especially in Pakis Village. Marketing strategies classified as very traditional reflect the lack of understanding and knowledge about digital marketing. Socialization is carried out to increase the interest of MSMEs in marketing strategies through digital marketing. This socialization is carried out door to door or by visiting the houses of MSMEs. The lecture method is the method used in this socialization. This lecture method provides MSMEs with an understanding of digital marketing strategies through PowerPoint presentations. As a follow-up to support the work program for socializing marketing strategies through digital marketing for MSMEs, a business location sign is then made on Google Maps, and as a medium to promote brands or products, KKN students also put up banners for MSMEs so that the wider community better knows them.
