Islamic education is currently challenged by the many problems of the younger generation, especially with regard to moral relationships with Allah SWT, themselves and fellow humans. The purpose of this research is to analyze Ibn Miskawaih's thoughts on Islamic Education and its relevance to the modern world. This research uses a qualitative approach and literature study method. Based on the results of the research, morals in humans have a close relationship with the soul. The soul has three powers, namely thinking power (rationality), anger power, and desire power. Abstract

The traditional way of learning kitab kuning has started to face challenges, such as limited access, reduced student interest in classical texts, and the lack of optimal use of technology in learning activities. This study aims to find a new way to keep kitab kuning learning going with the help of digital tools, without losing important values like sanad (chain of knowledge), adab (ethics), and the central role of the teacher. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, direct observation, and interviews with several ustadz (teachers), santri (students), and Islamic education experts. The results show that a suitable digital learning model is a mobile-based application that includes teacher voice readings, automatic translations, discussion forums, and offline accessibility. Learning methods such as sorogan and bandongan can still be applied online to preserve the pesantren atmosphere. The innovation in this study is the proposed design of digital learning that is not only modern but still rooted in pesantren traditions. In addition, the findings may support pesantren leaders and related parties in developing teacher training, learning facilities, and digital systems that fit the needs on the ground. With a careful and gradual approach, digitalizing kitab kuning can help preserve Islamic scholarly heritage while adapting to the times.

Abstract

Before the evaluation process, it is very important to measure the quality of a question. When a question is reliable, it can be said that the question has achieved its learning objectives. Test reliability is important in schools to ensure test quality, accurately measure student abilities, identify weaknesses, improve learning effectiveness, and increase trust. This study aims to determine whether the questions given to students are reliable or not so that students, parents, and the relevant school institutions can obtain test results that can be proven by the consistency of reliability assessment results. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a multiple-choice Arabic language learning test instrument. The research population consists of 36 fourth-grade students, and 15 students were selected as samples. The data analysis technique is the Spearman-Brown product-moment formula. The hypothesis testing results were obtained at α 5%, with an rtable of 0.70 and a rhitung value of 1.998. The testing criteria state that if rhitung is greater than rtable, then H0 is accepted, confirming that there is a reliability coefficient for the objective test in the Arabic language subject for fourth-grade students at SD Plus Intan Al-Sali.

Abstract

Meaningful education demands active engagement between teachers and students through appropriate learning strategies. An effective learning process should consider the spiritual dimension as a core element in developing human potential. This study aims to explore spiritual-based learning strategies as presented in Ta’lim al-Muta’allim, a classical Islamic educational text by Shaykh al-Zarnuji. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Spiritual intelligence is viewed as an inner capacity to find meaning and values in life, connecting the individual to metaphysical reality and the Divine. The results reveal that the spiritual-based learning strategies found in the text include: (1) designing learning based on students’ real needs; (2) presenting materials in accordance with students’ level of understanding, supported by media such as inspirational videos and religious-social activities; (3) creating enjoyable and age-appropriate classroom environments through arts, play, or storytelling; and (4) assigning reflective tasks such as reading, writing, and internalizing lessons to enhance students’ understanding and application of the materials in daily life. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of spiritual values into classical pedagogical strategies, offering practical implications for strengthening students’ character and spiritual awareness in the context of contemporary Islamic education.

The results of this study show that Islamic education based on the integration of science and science aims to unite Islamic values with modern science in harmony. The ideas of Amin Abdullah and Imam Suprayogo emphasized the importance of the connection between sciences based on the Qur'an and Hadith. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as the dichotomy of knowledge, weak curriculum, and technological limitations. This study recommends strengthening human resources, an integrated curriculum, and interdisciplinary policies. The implication is that regulations and teacher training are needed to support contextual integration. Follow-up research is suggested to explore the long-term impact on learners' character, the role of society, and best practices between educational institutions.
