Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) of Pulau Melako Village in increasing public awareness to pay zakat. Although zakat has great potential in improving community welfare, the level of awareness of village communities towards zakat maal is still relatively low. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the UPZ of Pulau Melako Village has implemented several strategies such as direct socialization, empowerment of community leaders, and a personal approach to muzakki. However, obstacles such as lack of formal training for officers, limited use of information technology, and minimal infrastructure are still challenges in efforts to optimize zakat collection. The right and innovative strategy is needed to increase public awareness and participation in the obligation of zakat maal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational structure and organizational culture on employee performance at PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 85 employees as respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis used multiple linear regression methods. The results of the study show that the organizational structure and organizational culture partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a contribution of 68.3%. A clear organizational structure with proper division of tasks and an organizational culture that supports innovation and collaboration has been proven to improve employee performance. This research provides implications for management to maintain an effective organizational structure and strengthen a positive organizational culture in managing human resources in the company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy and bank image on customer decisions in using mortgage financing products at Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) KC Syariah Palembang. Islamic financial literacy plays an important role in increasing public understanding of Islamic banking products, which will influence decisions in choosing financial products. In addition, a positive bank image also contributes to building customer trust in the services offered. This study uses a quantitative method with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to BTN KC Syariah Palembang customers who use mortgage financing products. The results of the study indicate that Islamic financial literacy and bank image have a positive and significant effect on customer decisions. The implications of this study indicate that increasing Islamic financial literacy and strengthening bank image can be an effective strategy for Islamic banks in increasing the number of users of Islamic-based mortgage products. Therefore, a broader Islamic financial education program is needed as well as improving the quality of services and transparency in Islamic banking operations to build customer trust and loyalty..

Abstract

This associative study aims to analyze the influence of work environment, compensation, and work skills on employee performance at PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park. This study involved 100 employees of PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park who were selected using the Slovin formula. Data collection was carried out using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire, the answers of which were evaluated using a Likert scale. The data that had been obtained were then analyzed using a multiple linear regression approach to determine the relationship between the variables studied. The results of the study suggest that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Likewise, compensation has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Furthermore, work skills have a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance. Following up on these findings, management is advised to strategically focus attention on the work environment, compensation, and skills development through a supportive work climate, fair compensation, and ongoing training to improve employee performance and company competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic value-based recruitment and selection on employee performance, with HR digitalization as a moderating variable. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was used by following the PRISMA guidelines to compile, screen, and analyze articles from various national and international academic databases published between 2021 and 2025. From a total of 226 identified articles, 25 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed further. The findings indicate that most of the reviewed literature supports a positive and significant influence of Islamic value-based recruitment and selection on employee performance, particularly in terms of productivity, work ethics, and loyalty. Furthermore, HR digitalization strengthens the recruitment process by increasing efficiency and objectivity through technologies such as e-recruitment, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and AI based on sharia principles. However, the effectiveness of implementation depends on technological readiness and organizational characteristics. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating spiritual values and digital innovation in Islamic human resource management practices that are adaptive to the challenges of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of work motivation on teacher performance, the influence of the work environment on teacher performance, and the effect of work motivation and work environment together on the performance teachers of SMPN 7 Samarinda. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a saturated sample approach, namely the entire teacher population at SMPN 7 Samarinda totaling 47 people are used as research respondents. The results of this study show that work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance, then the results of the work environment do not have a significant effect on teacher performance, and the final results show that work motivation and work environment together have a significant effect on the performance of teachers SMPN 7 Samarinda.

Abstract

In the increasingly digitized and complex work environment, human capital management has become a strategic determinant of organizational competitiveness. This study aims to develop and analyze an integrative conceptual framework comprising four core components of human capital—individual capability, individual motivation, workgroup effectiveness, and organizational climate—which collectively form a collaborative and adaptive managerial system. Employing a qualitative approach with an instrumental case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and institutional document analysis involving 12 key informants from three institutions representing higher education, microfinance, and public bureaucracy sectors. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis based on Braun and Clarke’s six-phase framework, supported by NVivo 14 software to ensure transparency and accuracy in interpretation. The findings reveal that individual capabilities—such as agility, problem-solving, and digital literacy—are only effective when reinforced by intrinsic motivation, strong team synergy, and a supportive organizational climate. The integration of these four components demonstrably increases organizational productivity by up to 27% over two years and enhances resilience during crises. In conclusion, this study contributes to the theoretical development of human capital in the field of human resource management and offers practical guidance for organizations in designing responsive, adaptive, and sustainable HR strategies in the era of digital disruption.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work discipline on teacher loyalty in the Samarinda City District. The research method used is quantitative, using observational and survey approaches. The sample comprised 93 respondents, consisting of teachers in the Samarinda City District. Data were collected via a questionnaire distributed through Google Forms using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS for validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test as model fit tests (Goodness of Fit), as well as the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²). The results indicate that both compensation and work discipline have a positive effect on teacher loyalty. Improvements in fair compensation provision and consistent enforcement of work discipline can enhance teachers’ loyalty to their employing institution. The model fit test (Goodness of Fit) shows that the regression model used in this study meets the criteria for adequacy and significance, making it suitable for predicting teacher loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and work discipline on the loyalty of elementary school teachers in Samarinda City District. To achieve this goal, this study uses a quantitative approach involving 93 responded as a samples. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, as well as distributing questionnaires to teachers. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the studies indicate that work-life balance and work discipline have a positive influence on the loyalty of elementary school teachers in Samarinda City District.

Abstract

In the last two decades, the world has witnessed a digital transformation that is still taking place in various areas of life, and the financial sector is one of the most significantly affected. Financial management as a discipline and professional practice basically aims to manage financial resources effectively and efficiently to achieve organizational goals. Data security and privacy are crucial issues, especially with the increasing cyber attacks on the financial system. The method used in this research activity uses a qualitative approach method where this approach explores and understands the meaning of some individuals or groups of people who come from social problems. The scope of digital financial management is the entire financial management activity that involves the use of information technology as the main tool in the planning, budgeting, reporting, auditing, and financial decision-making processes. The main goal of financial management, including in the digital context, remains consistency, namely financial performance for organizational value. In commercial companies, this means maximizing shareholder wealth or company value in a sustainable manner. The future of digital financial management in Indonesia promises an increasingly profound transformation in the way individuals, businesses, and governments manage finances. Digitalization has been shown to increase process efficiency, expand access to services, and create innovative opportunities in the financial sector. Overall, the future of digital financial management in Indonesia is more sophisticated as new technologies will continue to be adopted – AI.
