Abstract

This study aims to explore the intervention in the education of Islam in children using the approach of the verses of the Qur'an. The author uses a library research method that refers to literary sources as research data. Research data comes from the Al-Qur'an and Hadith as primary sources. At the same time, secondary sources are obtained from relevant articles and books. The collected data was then analyzed using content analysis techniques with the following steps: determining the problem, developing a framework for thinking, developing methodological tools, data analysis, and data interpretation. The results show that intervention in Islamic education using a Qur'an and Hadith-based approach can provide a strong foundation in shaping Islamic morality, ethics, and personality in children through various educational methods such as equality, cultivation, care, counsel, and punishment. Combining formal and informal education based on Islamic teachings can create a holistic academic environment for children's spiritual and intellectual development. This research contributes to enriching insights on implementing Islamic education in children through a more targeted and measured approach to using the Qur'an and Hadith as the primary sources in Islamic Education. Its practical implications lead to the development of more effective educational strategies to shape the Islamic character of the younger generation as a supply in the face of the ever-evolving challenges of the times.

Abstract

The discussion in this research concerns the influence of the Independent Learning Curriculum on Islamic Religious Education subjects. This research aims to describe the implementation of an Independent Learning Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education subjects and the supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic Religious Education teachers in implementing the independent curriculum at a Public High School. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method. The instruments used to collect data in this research are observation and interviews. Researchers observed the environment of a Public High School and the condition of the classes that were implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum. The research subjects were Islamic Religious Education subject teachers who had used the Independent Learning Curriculum for two periods in their classes. The research results show that implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum at Public High School was quite successful, with many supporting factors from the school, such as teachers and staff having high enthusiasm for holding Independent Learning Curriculum Implementation training. Apart from that, the facilities in the form of Chromebooks provided by the government to Public High Schools are also no less critical in realising the success of the Independent Learning Curriculum implementation. However, it does not deny that public high schools face inhibiting factors, such as human resources (HR) among students, which are still low, as evidenced by the school report cards, which are still yellow.

Abstract

This research examines EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers' perceptions of peer observation as a tool for developing professionalism. This research uses a qualitative approach, a case study type at Medan High School. The subjects of this research took two EFL teachers as English teachers. Data was obtained through observation and in-depth interviews. Then the data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman data analysis model which includes data condensation, data presentation and verification or conclusion. The research results show teachers' positive perceptions of peer observation as a tool for teacher professional development. In developing teacher professionalism, peer observation can improve the quality of learning because correlation and input from peers can provide better teaching methods and innovation. It can also support reflection and develop understanding because it builds collaboration by involving colleagues in observing each other in a reciprocal process to improve classroom teaching through self-reflection. Peer observation brings many benefits to teachers. This helps teachers solve problems they face in teaching and provides learning opportunities to acquire new teaching methods or strategies from colleagues. Therefore, this research recommends that teachers conduct peer observations to develop their professionalism. Through peer observation, teachers receive constructive feedback to improve their teaching.

Abstract

Islamic education primarily aims to instil moral values in students, with tawadhu' being a key emphasized aspect, representing humility and respect in interpersonal interactions. However, in practice, many students struggle to embody the virtue of tawadhu'. This research aims to bridge this gap by examining students' respect for teachers within the context of Islamic Education at SMA Surya Buana Malang. Specifically, this study explores using hypnoteaching methods to enhance students' understanding and practice of tawadhu' towards their educators. Employing a qualitative approach, this research involved students from class X at SMA Surya Buana Malang. Data collection methods included interviews and questionnaire surveys to assess the development of Students’ Humility traits following the implementation of hypnoteaching. The findings indicate that integrating hypnoteaching into instructional practices positively impacts the cultivation of students' humility. Students showed increased motivation to practice tawadhu’ daily and a deeper understanding of its importance. Additionally, they reported improved attitudes towards others, displaying greater humility and a willingness to learn from their peers.

The research aims to determine the role of MIM Kalikuning 2 Pacitan in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit with a green economy concept. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach, a type of narrative analysis, namely analyzing data in the form of stories or narratives to understand individual experiences or perspectives in depth. Meanwhile, source triangulation techniques were used from interview results, observation, and documentation to increase validity and credibility. Research findings show that the role of madrasas is to make a positive contribution to raising environmental awareness (attitudes and behaviour), developing sustainable entrepreneurial skills (innovation and creativity), strengthening relationships between subjects, and teaching about social activities (establishing cooperation with stakeholders), and provide opportunities to become pioneers of change. This role includes implementing an environmentally based curriculum, extracurricular activities, developing green school gardens, utilizing environmentally friendly technology, training and workshops, establishing partnerships with local communities, sustainable skills development, monitoring, and evaluation. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of improving the quality of learning in the scope of Islamic religious education. This study uses a qualitative approach, field studies. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were checked with source triangulation and technique triangulation then analyzed with the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the small group discussion method encourages collaboration, because students are divided into several groups, thus encouraging collaborative learning. This approach encourages active involvement and empowers students, which leads to improving the quality of Islamic religious education learning. Active learning methods improve the quality of learning through increasing participation and learning motivation, increasing conceptual understanding, the role of teachers as facilitators and developing social skills and critical thinking. The implementation of the sgd method needs to be applied more widely, both in Islamic religious education subjects and other subjects, to continue to encourage more effective and meaningful learning for students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of self-confidence possessed by young women in orphanages because every teenager must have self-confidence in developing their personality so that they can become teenagers who know their life goals. This research aims to determine the religious guidance methods applied by foster parents. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and concluding. The research results reveal that teenagers given religious guidance through lectures in the form of advice and motivation can become more confident in their abilities and belief in themselves. Teenagers in orphanages are more confident, open to their environment, able to accept themselves, take responsibility for their lives and develop their abilities. Apart from that, the implementation of guidance that has been carried out at the orphanage helps teenagers find courage for themselves and helps raise awareness to develop their abilities and potential optimally. For this reason, teenagers have provisions that can help them in the future. The novelty of this research focuses on research objects centred on teenagers, who need self-confidence so they can have good social relationships in their surrounding environment.
