Abstract

This study aims to identify the primary determinants of sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through a systematic literature review based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol. By integrating the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT), this study synthesizes 55 peer-reviewed international journal articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science published between 2015 and 2026. The findings reveal eight key determinants categorized into internal and external factors. Internal factors include VRIN resources, innovation capability, human capital, and entrepreneurial orientation. External factors comprise digital transformation, business ecosystems, market turbulence, and institutional support. The results indicate that the integration of RBV and DCT provides greater explanatory power than the partial application of either theory alone, particularly for SMEs operating under resource constraints and high environmental dynamism. This study contributes to the development of an integrative conceptual model and proposes a future empirical research agenda grounded in the context of emerging economies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Green Islamic Human Resource Management (GIHRM) on employee performance in Islamic banks, with employee engagement serving as a mediating variable. The study is motivated by the need for Islamic banking institutions to strengthen the implementation of Islamic values, ethical governance, and environmental sustainability beyond a solely economic orientation. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to Islamic bank employees selected using purposive sampling. GIHRM was measured through green and Islamic recruitment, sustainability-oriented training, Islamic green performance appraisal, environmentally responsible reward systems, and workplace culture based on trustworthiness, excellence, justice, and environmental responsibility. Employee engagement was assessed through vigor, dedication, and absorption, while employee performance was measured through work quality, productivity, responsibility, Sharia compliance, service ethics, and sustainable work behavior. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that GIHRM positively affects employee engagement and employee performance. Employee engagement also positively influences performance and mediates the relationship between GIHRM and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of integrating sustainability principles and Islamic values to enhance employee engagement and achieve sustainable organizational performance in Islamic banking institutions.

Abstract

The commercial resilience of the domestic distribution network depends heavily on its logistical infrastructure, yet global disruptions spanning from 2020 to 2024 exposed this framework to severe systemic shocks. This investigation interrogates the empirical dependencies of asset utilization yield against fluctuations in capital reclamation cycles and operational liquidity cushions within public freight enterprises listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Methodologically motivated by structural disparities and divergent empirical findings in existing literature, this inquiry deploys a quantitative design using descriptive diagnostics and empirical verification. From a foundational universe of 19 logistics corporations, purposive sampling isolated a subset of 10 entities, yielding 50 panel observation units extracted from audited financial disclosures. The structural estimation relies on a pooled ordinary least squares architecture, validated through restricted residual sum of squares testing and score-based multiplier diagnostics executed via EViews 12. To safeguard statistical inference, the underlying error structure underwent exhaustive validation, including normality, multi-variable collinearity, cross-sectional heteroscedasticity, and first-order serial dependency metrics. The resulting parametric estimates reveal that the velocity of outstanding credit collection exerts a highly robust positive pressure on asset-based returns, whereas the metric evaluating core cash generation against immediate obligations fails to manifest a statistically meaningful linkage. Simultaneously, both financial dimensions interact to exert a joint structural impact on corporate returns, capturing an adjusted variance portion of 38.15%. Ultimately, these dynamics clarify that rigorous credit lifecycle optimization serves as the primary engine for capital returns within this industry.

Abstract

This study examines experience-based tourism marketing by understanding how experiential value is constructed among tourists in Sanur, Bali, as a mature coastal destination with strong cultural characteristics. The research addresses the problem that tourism marketing practices are still predominantly promotion-oriented and have not fully captured the holistic experience of tourists as a core value in destination marketing. Therefore, the objective of this study is to explore how experiential value is formed through the interaction between tourists and key destination elements. This research employs a qualitative interpretative approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving tourists, tourism stakeholders, and local communities. Data were analyzed using thematic interpretative analysis to identify patterns and dimensions of tourist experiences. The findings reveal that experiential value is constructed through the interaction of four main elements: servicescape, local culture, social interaction, and marketing practices. Servicescape and local culture were found to be the most dominant factors influencing tourists’ positive experiences, while social interactions and informal marketing practices strengthened emotional attachment and destination perception. The study proposes a conceptual model expressed as EV = f(SC, BL, IS, PM), indicating that experiential value is a function of these interconnected elements. The results emphasize that tourism marketing should shift from promotion-based approaches to experience-oriented strategies. This study contributes theoretically by expanding the experiential marketing framework in tourism and practically by providing strategic insights for destination stakeholders to enhance competitiveness through holistic experience management.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction at GOT Travel Batam, an online travel agent operating in Batam, Indonesia. The research addresses the problem of how different dimensions of service quality shape customer satisfaction in a digital travel-service context, where interactions are mediated by online platforms rather than face-to-face encounters. The main objective is to identify which dimensions of service quality significantly influence customer satisfaction and which dimension is the most dominant. A quantitative descriptive–verificative approach was applied using a survey of customers who had used GOT Travel Batam at least once in 2024–2025. A sample of 95 respondents was obtained through purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Service quality was measured through the SERVQUAL dimensions of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, while customer satisfaction was treated as the dependent variable. The results indicate that reliability and empathy have positive and significant effects on customer satisfaction, whereas tangibles, responsiveness, and assurance do not show significant effects in the proposed model. Empathy emerges as the most dominant dimension, followed by reliability. Overall, the findings suggest that online travel customers place greater emphasis on personal attention and dependable service performance than on physical evidence or mere response speed. In conclusion, service quality remains critical for customer satisfaction in digital OTAs, but the hierarchy of dimensions shifts empathy and reliability become the dominant drivers while tangibles, responsiveness, and assurance lose their direct influence

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Digital Leadership and Human Capital Agility on Work Engagement and Employee Performance in the context of digital transformation. Rapid technological developments require organizations to strengthen leadership capabilities, workforce adaptability, and employee engagement to maintain sustainable performance. This study employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected from 250 respondents through a structured questionnaire. The proposed model was evaluated through measurement and structural model testing, including validity, reliability, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that all proposed relationships are positive and statistically significant. Digital Leadership positively influences Work Engagement (β = 0.371) and Employee Performance (β = 0.345), while Human Capital Agility has a positive effect on Work Engagement (β = 0.399) and Employee Performance (β = 0.200). Furthermore, Work Engagement significantly improves Employee Performance (β = 0.306). The structural model explains 38.3% of the variance in Work Engagement and 46.1% of the variance in Employee Performance, indicating a moderate explanatory power. Human Capital Agility emerges as the strongest predictor of Work Engagement, whereas Digital Leadership provides the greatest direct contribution to Employee Performance. These findings suggest that organizational performance in the digital era is influenced not only by effective leadership but also by employees’ adaptability and engagement. This study contributes to the literature by integrating leadership, agility, engagement, and performance within a single framework and offers practical implications for organizations seeking to improve employee performance through digital leadership development, workforce agility enhancement, and employee engagement initiatives.

Abstract

This study investigates the intellectual evolution of social entrepreneurship research within sustainable tourism through a bibliometric analysis of Scopus indexed publications published between 2019 and 2026. The study aims to identify dominant research themes, conceptual structures, and emerging sustainability trajectories shaping the relationship between tourism and social entrepreneurship. Bibliographic data were collected from the Scopus database using a structured search strategy and screened following the PRISMA 2020 framework. A total of 80 journal articles were analyzed using Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, and VOSviewer to examine publication trends, keyword co occurrence, citation structures, and thematic interconnections. The findings demonstrate a significant expansion of tourism social entrepreneurship research, particularly following the post pandemic transformation of global tourism systems. The intellectual structure of the field is increasingly dominated by themes related to governance, resilience, social innovation, community empowerment, and regenerative tourism. The co occurrence network further reveals growing interdisciplinary convergence among sustainability science, governance studies, resilience theory, innovation research, and community based tourism perspectives. The findings indicate that social entrepreneurship is progressively evolving from a market oriented entrepreneurial concept toward a governance oriented sustainability mechanism embedded within broader processes of social ecological transformation and adaptive tourism development. The study contributes theoretically by repositioning social entrepreneurship within a sustainability transition and adaptive governance framework while identifying regenerative tourism and resilience based governance as important future research trajectories within sustainable tourism scholarship.
