Abstract

Student competency is a key learning outcome in vocational education, particularly in study programs that emphasize the mastery of practical skills such as culinary arts. This study aims to analyze the influence of learning facilities and practical activities on the competency of students in the Diploma III Culinary Arts Study Program at the Palembang Tourism Polytechnic. The study used a quantitative approach with an associative design through a survey method. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire from 59 students, measuring learning facilities (study room facilities and practice facilities), practice activities, and student competency understood as perceived competence ( self-perceived competence ). The analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha reliability tests, and multiple linear regression at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that students rated practice facilities very positively, while study room facilities still left ratings ranging from "fair" to "poor". The regression test indicated that learning facilities and practical activities had a positive and significant effect on student competency, with a moderate contribution to the model's explanation. This finding confirms that the support of learning facilities and the implementation of structured practice complement each other in shaping the competency of vocational students. However, improving the comfort and completeness of study room facilities is still needed for competency formation to take place more optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of green marketing and environmental awareness on purchasing decisions for eco-friendly tumblers among Generation Z in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach through a survey of 210 respondents aged 18-27 years, this study measured perceptions of the green marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion), levels of environmental awareness, and purchasing decisions using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed that green marketing had a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions (β = 0.387, p < 0.001), with the green product orientation dimension providing the largest contribution. Environmental awareness also had a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions (β = 0.445, p < 0.001), even with a slightly greater contribution than green marketing. Respondents showed a very high level of environmental awareness (mean = 4.35) and a positive perception of green marketing (mean = 4.12), with 87.6% of respondents having owned or having purchased an eco-friendly tumbler. However, this study also identified a knowledge-intention-behavior gap, with price sensitivity (mean = 3.89) and concerns about greenwashing (44.8% of respondents) being the main barriers. These findings offer practical implications for companies to develop green marketing strategies that are authentic, transparent, and consider the local context of the Indonesian market, as well as for policymakers to encourage infrastructure supporting sustainable consumption, such as refill stations and institutional incentives.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of debtor quality, income level, and collateral on credit lending decisions at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Unit Kelapa Dua, KC Bumi Serpong Damai. The findings indicate that debtor quality and collateral have a positive and statistically significant effect on credit approval decisions, while income level does not exhibit a significant influence. These results suggest that banks prioritize behavioral credibility and asset-based guarantees over income considerations when assessing loan applications. Collectively, the three variables significantly affect credit lending decisions, confirming the importance of comprehensive credit evaluation frameworks in mitigating credit risk and maintaining banking stability. The results of this study contribute to the literature on credit risk management by reinforcing the relevance of prudential principles, particularly the application of the 5C framework, in contemporary banking practices. The insignificance of income level highlights the need for banks to refine income assessment mechanisms, especially for borrowers with fluctuating or informal earnings. Future research is encouraged to incorporate additional variables such as business prospects, macroeconomic conditions, and digital credit scoring systems to further enhance the understanding of credit decision-making processes in the banking sector.

Abstract

Grocery stores remain an important retail outlet for the community because they are close by, easy to reach, and help meet daily needs. However, to maintain business continuity, store owners need to understand the factors that can drive consumer purchasing interest. This study aims to analyze the effect of price, product completeness, stock availability, and shopping convenience on consumer purchasing interest in grocery stores. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 109 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected directly (offline) through a five- point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS with the help of SmartPLS version 4. The results showed that shopping convenience had a positive and significant effect on purchasing interest (β = 0.203; p = 0.011), while price (p = 0.435), product completeness (p = 0.069), and stock availability (p = 0.104) did not have a significant effect. These findings imply that grocery store managers need to prioritize improving shopping convenience, such as maintaining cleanliness, neat layout, ease of finding items, and fast service, to increase consumer purchasing interest.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made this technology a strategic component in e-commerce management through the transformation of digital marketing practices and consumer interactions. The application of AI enables companies to improve personalization, service efficiency, and the quality of consumer experiences through recommendation systems, chatbots, virtual agents, and AI-based content. This study aims to systematically examine the role of Artificial Intelligence in e-commerce and its impact on consumer behavior in the purchasing decision-making process. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach to national and international journal articles published in the period 2019–2025. Selected articles are analyzed thematically to identify patterns of AI implementation, consumer behavioral responses, and their implications for purchasing decisions. The results of the study indicate that AI has a positive effect on consumer trust, satisfaction, and purchase intention by increasing information relevance, service speed, and marketing personalization. However, issues of data privacy, perceived authenticity, and limited empathy in AI-based interactions have the potential to affect consumer loyalty. Therefore, a hybrid approach that combines the sophistication of AI with human interaction is recommended to create a sustainable consumer experience in the e-commerce ecosystem.
