Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced marketing strategies, particularly through the utilization of Social Media and Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) as effective promotional tools. Emina, as one of the skincare brands, leverages TikTok Shop to enhance its product sales. This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Media and e-WOM on Purchase Intention, with Brand Awareness serving as a mediating variable. This research employed a quantitative approach using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to TikTok Shop users who had seen or purchased Emina skincare products, involving a total of 128 respondents. The findings indicate that Social Media and e-WOM have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention. Furthermore, Brand Awareness was found to significantly mediate the relationship between Social Media, e-WOM, and Purchase Intention. These results suggest that increasing promotional interactions through Social Media and positive consumer reviews can strengthen brand awareness, ultimately enhancing consumers’ purchase intention of Emina skincare products on TikTok Shop.

Abstract

Marriage in Islam aims to achieve tranquility (sakinah), affection (mawaddah), and compassion (rahmah), as emphasized in the Qur’an, Surah Ar-Rum [30]:21. However, the realities of modern life reveal growing psychological challenges within marriages, one of which emerges when a spouse suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). This disorder is characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a constant need for admiration, and a lack of empathy toward others. This study adopts an interdisciplinary approach combining psychology and Islamic family law through a qualitative-descriptive analysis, exploring the possibility of building a sakinah family when one partner has NPD. The findings indicate that the egocentric and empathy-deficient traits of narcissism fundamentally contradict the principles of rahmah and mawaddah, which are the spiritual essence of an Islamic household. Drawing on empirical data from the APA (2013), Campbell & Miller (2011), and Harvard Medical School (2018), individuals with NPD tend to form manipulative and unstable relationships. From an Islamic perspective, such behavior violates the command of mu‘āsyarah bil ma‘rūf as stated in Qur’an Surah An-Nisa [4]:19. Nevertheless, Islam leaves room for recovery through psychological therapy, spiritual guidance, and Islamic family counseling. The legal maxim adh-dhararu yuzāl (“harm must be eliminated”) provides the moral foundation for allowing separation when the relationship causes emotional distress and the loss of inner peace.

Abstract

Indonesian law is the result of interaction among three major legal systems, namely customary law, Islamic law, and positive law. Within this context of legal pluralism, there is an ongoing need to harmonize Islamic normative values with the national legal system in order to develop a legal order that is both religious in character and responsive to modern demands. This study aims to analyze the conceptual and practical relationship between sharī‘ah, fiqh, and positive law within the framework of legal pluralism, as well as to assess the extent to which Islamic values can be substantively integrated into the Indonesian national legal system. This research employs a normative legal method using conceptual, comparative, and Islamic law approaches. The study relies on secondary data sources, including scholarly literature, statutory regulations, and relevant legal documents. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic normative values into national law has been realized through several legislative instruments, such as the Law on Hajj and Umrah Administration, the Marriage Law, the Zakat Law, and the Halal Product Assurance Law. These legal frameworks reflect a dynamic synergy between the principles of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah and the doctrine of ius constitutum in shaping laws that promote justice and public welfare (maṣlaḥah). However, this harmonization process continues to face significant challenges, particularly in the form of inconsistencies in legal politics and the tendency toward the formalization of sharī‘ah norms. This study argues that a substantive approach—through the internalization of Islamic ethical values within legal policies—is more ideal than a formalistic approach. Such an approach is essential to realizing a national legal system that is pluralistic, humanistic, and aligned with the universal spirit of raḥmatan lil ‘ālamīn.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of an ESP32-based Smart Garden system consisting of two main components, namely a sensor module and a controller module. The sensor module uses a DHT11 sensor to record air temperature and humidity data periodically every hour from 7:00 to 19:00 WIB for seven days. The measurement results show a temperature pattern that increases from morning to noon and decreases in the afternoon, while humidity shows an inverse pattern. The average highest temperature recorded was 29.92 °C on Monday and the lowest temperature was 29.01 °C on Wednesday, with daily humidity ranging from 60.31% to 61.15%. Meanwhile, the controller module functions to regulate plant watering in three operating modes: manual, timer, and automatic. Manual mode allows direct control by the user via buttons, timer mode regulates automatic watering based on a schedule stored in the EEPROM and synchronized with the NTP time, while automatic mode uses fuzzy logic to water based on environmental conditions. The system is also equipped with a battery voltage monitoring feature and a status indicator on the LCD. The test results show that all system components work in an integrated, stable manner, and are able to support intelligent plant watering based on real environmental conditions .

Abstract

This research examines cooperative public service practices involving the Municipal Police (Satpol PP) of Surabaya City and local stakeholders in the Sukolilo District, emphasizing the mapping of the collaboration network, evaluating coordination mechanisms, and identifying challenges and effective strategies that can enhance the execution of local policies. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered via in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, then analyzed through thematic analysis to uncover interaction patterns, role allocation, and collaborative governance dynamics at the community level. The results indicate that the collaboration network includes governmental bodies, community leaders, local units, business representatives, and security organizations, though the level of interaction and frequency differ by region. Coordination mechanisms function via official platforms and online communication channels; however, issues remain, such as overlapping authorities, uneven information distribution, and restricted human resources. Notwithstanding these challenges, a number of best practices arise, including the utilization of digital communication tools for swift responses, engagement of community leaders in resolving conflicts, and the implementation of collaborative enforcement strategies. The research highlights the necessity to bolster collaborative governance frameworks, improve cross-sectoral capacity development, and standardize coordination methods to enhance the efficiency of public service delivery. This study enhances collaborative governance frameworks in urban settings and provides policy suggestions to strengthen partnership-driven public services.

Abstract

It studies reviews the relationship between practice of ṣalāh (prayer) and mental health from the perspectives of modern psychology and Islamic values. A descriptive-narrative literature review was conducted, analysing peer-reviewed studies and relevant scholarly reports published between 2020-2025. Findings indicate that regular, mindful prayer contributes to reductions in stress and anxiety, enhances inner calm, & strengthens psychological well-being through mechanisms such as emotion regulation, meaning-making, routine coping, & spiritual connectedness. Prayer also functions as a culturally consonant, non-pharmacological coping strategy within Muslim communities. However, the evidence is heterogeneous, and integration of religious elements into mental health practice requires culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and ethically guided approaches. Overall, consistent & reflective practice of ṣalāh can be considered a valuable component in promotive & preventive mental health efforts.

Abstract

This study explores public and financial service dynamics in Sidoarjo Regency through two lenses: flood mitigation in Krian District and inclusive banking at Bank BRI. Both sectors face challenges in transitioning from rigid frameworks to adaptive, human-centric ecosystems. Methodologically, this research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. In the first context, findings indicate that synergy between the Environmental Office (DLH) and Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is rooted in trust-building and data transparency. However, systemic hurdles like budgetary rigidity and jurisdictional ambiguity regarding central government rivers (BBWS) hinder optimal resource sharing. Parallelly, Bank BRI Sidoarjo enhances customer loyalty through "hybrid banking," integrating digital efficiency with high-touch human interaction. The roles of "Mantri" and "Digital Advisors" create emotional loyalty, proving that empathy remains vital amidst digitalization. Both studies conclude that technological advancement reaches peak effectiveness only with institutional frameworks prioritizing human empathy and integration. The research recommends formalizing integrated SOPs and issuing local regulations, such as a Regent Regulation, to provide a legal umbrella for administrative flexibility. This ensures sustainable, inclusive service delivery for the Sidoarjo community.

Abstract

This research analyzes the synergy between the Environmental Office (DLH) and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in flood mitigation in Krian District, Sidoarjo, through Collaborative Governance. Krian faces annual flood risks due to land-use changes and high sedimentation. Methodologically, this study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model. The findings indicate that collaboration has successfully transformed inter-institutional relationships into a synergistic ecosystem. Trust-building and data transparency have minimized "sectoral egos," where DLH utilizes BPBD’s vulnerability mapping for drainage maintenance. Integrated field actions have achieved "small wins" by reducing inundation duration in public areas. However, systemic hurdles remain, including budgetary rigidity and jurisdictional ambiguity regarding rivers under central government authority. Different organizational paces also create response gaps. The study concludes that this collaboration must transition from ad-hoc agreements to a legalized framework. Recommendations include issuing a Regent Regulation for budget flexibility and creating an integrated real-time dashboard to synchronize preventive flood mitigation actions.

Abstract

Modern public services increasingly emphasize high responsiveness. However, the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Sukolilo District faces significant challenges in managing public complaints due to the high dynamics of public order disturbances in an area with dense socio-economic activity. This study aims to analyze the responsiveness of complaint handling as a fundamental strategy for improving the quality of public services, and to identify determinant factors that hinder the effectiveness of service recovery mechanisms at the district level. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research explores the dynamics of street-level bureaucracy. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with structural officials, field officers, and reporting citizens, complemented by participatory observation of service processes and a review of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents. The analysis integrates service quality and complaint management theories to examine the dimensions of responsiveness and procedural reliability within the law enforcement ecosystem. The findings indicate that officers’ responsiveness remains suboptimal, as the actual average response time frequently exceeds the 1×24-hour standard due to resource constraints and the exercise of discretion that tends to be reactive to social media pressure (viral-based response). The service recovery mechanism is still partial and does not consistently address root causes, directly contributing to stagnant levels of public satisfaction. The study concludes that systemic transformation is essential, recommending real-time integration of digital complaint channels with patrol units and the adoption of a collaborative approach based on community participation to achieve adaptive and accountable services.
