Abstract

12th grade students who are starting to be faced with confusion about choosing the next level, namely college, work, or even marriage. However, this article focuses on grade 12 students who decide to go to college but these students fail in the selection process for public universities. This is a problem for them. To help students overcome these problems, one thing that must be considered is the psychological well-being of grade 12 students who experience such failures. It is this guidance counseling (BK) teacher who has a role in improving or bringing out the psychological well-being of grade 12 students. The results of the study show that there is a process of maturing in students with positive thinking, that there is a more appropriate and appropriate path for them to get.

Abstract

Love language is becoming increasingly relevant in efforts to improve family satisfaction, especially in strengthening communication between family members in the midst of increasing divorce rates. Given that understanding and applying love language can strengthen relationships, this study explores the effectiveness of love language in the family context as an effort to create a more harmonious environment. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this article identifies and analyzes empirical studies from various journals and academic sources published between 2013 and 2023. The 12 journals used are both national and international journals. This study aims to assess the extent to which the application of love language affects family satisfaction, as well as the factors that can affect its effectiveness. The results showed that understanding love language preferences among family members can improve communication and reduce conflict, which in turn strengthens relationship satisfaction. However, its effectiveness varies based on cultural, socioeconomic and age differences. This study suggests the need for a more diverse approach in applying love language to achieve optimal results in various family contexts.

Abstract

According to the CDC, the latest data for children with autism in 2024 is 1 in 36 children. Approximately 2.4 million youngsters are predicted to have autism by 2024, according Dr. Dante, Deputy Minister of Helath. The complex illness known ad Autism Spectrum Disorder affects behavior, socialization, communication, and sensory/cognitive. This article’s goal is to determine how well ABA therapy works in improving the social interaction skills of children with autism, including their preference for playing alone or with objects without friends and their lack of interest in social. This study’s methodology is literature research. The findings demonstrated that the application of therapy with ABA methods can significantly and effectively improved the social interacton skills of children with autism.

Abstract

New students have to face greater academic demands in the world of college. The inability to face various academic tasks causes them to experience academic stress. This quantitative study aims to obtain information related to the influence of peer social support on academic stress experienced by new students of the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Malang. This study involved 101 students as research respondents. Peer support and academic stress data were collected through a questionnaire in the form of a google form using a simple random sampling technique. The data obtained were then analyzed using a correlation test using SPSS 26.0 version for windows. The results showed a correlation value (r) of -0.320 with a significance of p = 0.001 (p <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between peer social support and academic stress in new students of the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Malang, although the level of correlation between the two variables is low. Following up on the findings in this study, it is necessary to explore other variables that can influence academic stress in new students, besides peer support.

Abstract

The quality of an individual's relationship with a partner is an important aspect of an individual's life and it can be caused by jealousy. The results of previous studies found inconsistencies in the impact of jealousy on the quality of relationships, especially in women. While the quality of individual relationships with partners can be improved by religiosity. This study aims to determine the relationship between jealousy and the quality of women's relationships with partners, also the role of religiosity as a moderator. This research is a quantitative study with 160 participants who are married and living in Sampang. Measuring instruments used are The Positive Relationship Quality (PRQ) Scale, Multy Dimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS), dan Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS) and analyzed using a Process Macro. This research results showed that high jealousy caused the low quality of the relationship and religiosity can reduce jealousy effect on the quality of the relationship between women and partners.

Abstract

Lately, there has been a lot of news about bullying cases in several Islamic boarding schools. This study discusses the optimization of prevention and advocacy of bullying cases in Islamic boarding schools. The data analysis technique uses content analysis by sorting things that are in accordance with the focus and objectives of the study. This study found that bullying is an act that is painful both physically and non-physically from the person who does it to the victim, such as teasing, hitting, kicking, mocking, cursing, gossiping, cursing, shouting, isolating, intimidating, pressuring, discriminating, and ignoring. Ways to prevent bullying in Islamic boarding schools can be done by explaining to students the verses of the Quran that have prohibited bullying. For example, Surah An-Nisa verse 30 prohibits committing violence against others. Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11 prohibits acts of belittling, mocking, and cursing others. There are even many more verses of the Quran that contain prohibitions on bullying. In addition, ways to prevent acts and advocate bullying in Islamic boarding schools can be done with four methods, namely the approach method, the consequence method, the special method, and the activity method. Meanwhile, preventing acts of bullying in Islamic boarding schools can also be done in three ways, namely prevention with spiritual awareness, prevention by maintaining harmony and breaking the cycle of problems, and prevention by eliminating inferior traits and honing assertiveness skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of family counseling from the perspective of social fiqh as a solution-oriented approach to household problems in modern Muslim society. Family counseling in Islam does not only function as a means of solving psychological or relational problems, but also as a medium for strengthening spiritual values ​​and Islamic law in household life. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach, which explores the views of relevant figures and theories, such as the thoughts of Ali Yafie and Sahal Mahfudh on social fiqh, as well as Islamic counseling theories. The results of the study indicate that social fiqh provides a methodological and applicative basis for addressing family problems with a contextual, responsive approach, and based on maqāṣid al-syarī’ah values. Family counseling from this perspective becomes an integrative effort between divine guidance and social reality that aims to create a family that is sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah, as well as prosperous physically and mentally. This study recommends that the concept of social fiqh be more mainstreamed in the development of Islamic family counseling services in various educational, social, and religious institutions.

Abstract

Personality competence is a fundamental element that every teacher must possess, particularly at the senior high school (SMA) level, where students experience complex developmental dynamics. This competence reflects a teacher’s integrity, emotional maturity, exemplary conduct, and ability to build positive relationships within the school environment. This article aims to analyze effective strategies and efforts for implementing personality competence among high school teachers. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review and in-depth interviews, this study identifies several key strategies, including personality training based on values and professional ethics, the establishment of teacher communities for emotional support and professional sharing, the development of a positive and reflective school culture, and the provision of regular self-reflection opportunities for teachers. In addition, the active involvement of school leadership, particularly principals and educational managers, is found to be a determining factor in creating a sustainable system that supports the continuous development of teachers’ personality competence. The findings are expected to serve as a practical reference for schools in improving the quality of education through strengthening the character and integrity of educators.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the chronic health problems that threatens the quality of human resources, especially in children in developing countries such as Indonesia. This condition is not only caused by lack of nutritional intake, but also influenced by low parental awareness in fulfilling children's basic needs and suboptimal parenting patterns. This study aims to examine how Islamic and psychological approaches can synergize in dealing with stunting problems and increasing awareness and the active role of families in maintaining child growth and development. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various sources of scientific literature and relevant theories. The Islamic approach emphasizes the spiritual and moral responsibility of parents in maintaining the child's trust, while the psychological approach provides a scientific understanding of the stages of child development and the importance of a responsive environment. The results of the study show that the integration of these two approaches can form a more complete and effective parenting pattern, thereby strengthening family resilience in efforts to prevent stunting. This study recommends the need for cross-sector collaboration, including health workers, psychologists, and religious figures, in parenting education and family-based stunting intervention programs.

Abstract

Cerebral palsy children have behavioral problems in the form of tantrums. If this tantrum behavior is left unchecked, it will have a negative impact on the child's development and learning process. One of the behavior modification techniques that can be applied to reduce tantrum behavior is punishment. This study aims to see the impact of punishment in reducing tantrum behavior. The research method used is a case study to see the decline in tantrum behavior in cerebral palsy. Data were collected through observation and documentation in the form of recording tantrum behavior in terms of duration and frequency. The results showed that the consistent application of punishment can reduce the frequency of tantrums in children with cerebral palsy from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2. Cycle 1 tantrum behavior appeared four times with a duration of 35 minutes, while in Cycle 2, tantrum behavior appeared twice with a duration of 20 minutes. This shows how important it is to use a scientific approach to manage behavior. Appropriate behavior-based interventions can improve children's social and academic skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
