Abstract

The leadership of Islamic education teachers plays a very strategic role in instilling Islamic values. Islamic culture in schools becomes an important foundation in shaping students' character and morals amid the challenges of the modern era. Islamic Education teachers, as leaders in developing Islamic culture, have responsibilities for all aspects of life, from responsibilities in classroom learning processes to activities outside the classroom or school environment. This type of research is qualitative research using qualitative descriptive analysis, where data collection techniques are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the leadership of Islamic religious education teachers is realized through three main functions: 1) Innovator, initiating programs to habituate students in several activities, including: reading the Qur'an every morning before learning begins, Dhuha prayer, congregational Dhuhr prayer, Friday activities such as reading Surah Yasin and delivering short sermons, and commemorating the Prophet's birthday. 2) Role Model, the teacher becomes a model of moral discipline in worship and polite speech that students emulate, encouraging good habits, enforcing discipline, providing motivation, giving rewards, and giving punishments to students who break the rules. 3) The PAI teacher's leadership model in developing an Islamic culture is a democratic leadership model that collaborates with all teachers in the institution. Overall, the leadership of PAI teachers significantly contributes to creating a school culture that is religious, safe, and conducive to students' moral development.

Abstract

The low resilience of early childhood in the field is often caused by learning processes that have not integrated structured emotional management. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) on enhancing early childhood resilience. Utilizing a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design, this study involved a saturated sample of 20 group B children at PAUD Karya Mandiri 2, Cianjur. Primary data were collected through structured child behavior observation techniques evaluated collaboratively by the researcher, classroom teachers, and parents to reduce measurement bias. The instrument was assessed using an ordinal scale of 1–4 covering the dimensions of emotional regulation, self-efficacy, optimism, problem analysis, interpersonal relationships, and autonomy. The experimental data were normally distributed based on the Shapiro-Wilk test (); thus, the hypothesis testing was conducted using the Paired Samples t-Test. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in the children's mean resilience score from  during the pretest to  at the posttest, with a value of  and a significance value of . The effect size testing using Cohen's  yielded a value of , indicating that the SEL intervention has an exceptionally large effect magnitude in shifting children's behavior to become more adaptive. The cildren proved to be better able to calm themselves when disappointed, display a resilient attitude, and build positive social interactions. The study's conclusion confirms that structured social-emotional learning is effective in strengthening early childhood resilience; therefore, it is recommended for teachers to consistently integrate SEL modules into daily lesson plans.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has encouraged the development of innovative learning approaches to improve the quality of science education. One promising approach is the integration of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with Virtual Laboratory Biology (V-LABIO) to create a more interactive and student-centered learning environment. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of science learning based on PjBL integrated with V-LABIO in improving students' conceptual understanding. The study employed a descriptive qualitative literature review by analyzing 25 scientific articles, consisting of 15 accredited national journals and 10 reputable international journals published within the last ten years. The analysis involved identifying, comparing, and synthesizing research findings related to the implementation of PjBL and virtual laboratories in science education. The findings indicate that the integration of PjBL and V-LABIO consistently enhances students' conceptual understanding compared to conventional learning approaches. In addition, this integrated approach contributes to improving learning motivation, critical thinking, creativity, scientific literacy, science process skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration. Virtual laboratories also facilitate the visualization of abstract scientific concepts, making the learning process more interactive, flexible, and meaningful. Therefore, science learning based on Project-Based Learning supported by V-LABIO can serve as an effective instructional strategy to enhance students' conceptual understanding while fostering essential twenty-first-century competencies.

Abstract

Tantangan perkembangan anak usia dini di era digital semakin kompleks, terutama dalam menyelaraskan kemampuan interaksi nyata dengan kematangan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan sekaligus pengaruh antara perkembangan sosial terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia dini di PAUD Darul Athfal. Pendekatan kuantitatif non-eksperimen dengan desain kausal korelasional diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Populasinya adalah seluruh anak di PAUD Darul Athfal yang berjumlah 20 anak, di mana teknik sampling total atau sensus digunakan sehingga seluruh anggota populasi ditetapkan sebagai sampel penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen observasi terstruktur yang telah teruji validitas itemnya (nilai korelasi item-total berkisar antara 0,835 hingga 0,952) dan terbukti sangat reliabel (nilai Cronbach's Alpha sebesar 0,970 pada kedua variabel). Teknik analisis data dilakukan berbantuan program SPSS melalui uji non-parametrik korelasi Spearman's rho dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan secara sangat kuat antara kedua variabel dengan angka koefisien korelasi () sebesar 0,997 dan tingkat signifikansi kurang dari 0,001 (). Lebih lanjut, uji regresi linear sederhana membuktikan adanya pengaruh nyata dari perkembangan sosial terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional anak dengan nilai  mencapai 93,328 () serta menghasilkan model persamaan . Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kematangan sosial anak usia dini bertindak sebagai prediktor kuat yang secara linear menentukan pembentukan kompetensi sosial emosional dan kemampuan regulasi diri mereka di sekolah. Guru dan orang tua disarankan memprioritaskan stimulasi interaksi sosial yang berkualitas untuk mendukung kematangan emosional anak.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility of an electronic student worksheet (E-Worksheet) designed by integrating Deep Learning principles and Multiple Intelligences theory into the teaching of the Fundamental Laws of Chemistry. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, focusing on the analysis, design, and development stages. A needs assessment was conducted through curriculum analysis, classroom observations, teacher interviews, and a review of relevant literature. The resulting product was an interactive digital worksheet that incorporated the principles of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning while accommodating students’ diverse intelligence profiles. The feasibility of the product was assessed by two chemistry education experts and one chemistry teacher using expert validation instruments. The findings revealed validity scores of 0.921 for the content aspect and 0.909 for the media aspect, both of which fall within the high validity category. These results indicate that the developed E-Worksheet meets the required standards in terms of content quality, presentation, language use, and visual design. The product is characterized by an engaging visual interface, the integration of Deep Learning activities, the accommodation of various intelligence types, and learning tasks designed to foster creative thinking skills. Based on the validation results, the developed E-Worksheet is considered suitable for use in chemistry learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' scientific literacy skills based on the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) framework for Natural Science (Science) learning. Scientific literacy is an individual's ability to use scientific knowledge, identify questions, and draw conclusions based on evidence to understand and make decisions related to natural phenomena and changes resulting from human activity. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with secondary school students as subjects. Data collection was conducted through a scientific literacy test designed around three core competencies in the PISA framework: explaining phenomena scientifically, evaluating and designing scientific investigations, and interpreting scientific data and evidence. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the level of students' scientific literacy skills for each indicator. The results showed that students' scientific literacy skills were still in the moderate to low category. The indicator for explaining phenomena scientifically achieved higher achievement than the indicators for evaluating and designing scientific investigations and interpreting scientific data and evidence. These findings demonstrate the need to develop science learning strategies that are more oriented towards improving critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and the application of scientific concepts in everyday life to improve students' scientific literacy in line with the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

Matematika sering dipandang sebagai ilmu yang abstrak sehingga kurang dikaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Padahal, berbagai aktivitas budaya, termasuk pencak silat, mengandung konsep matematika yang dapat dikaji melalui pendekatan etnomatematika. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah belum teridentifikasinya secara komprehensif konsep sudut yang terdapat pada Jurus Gerak Wajib A Tapak Suci di Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Institut Ahmad Dahlan Probolinggo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mendeskripsikan, dan menganalisis konsep sudut yang terkandung dalam setiap rangkaian gerakan Jurus Gerak Wajib A. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain etnografi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap pelatih utama serta dua pesilat yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive dan snowball sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data diuji menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jurus Gerak Wajib A memuat konsep geometri berupa sudut siku-siku (90°), sudut lurus (180°), dan sudut tumpul (100°–150°) yang diterapkan pada gerakan tangan dan kaki untuk menghasilkan keseimbangan, akurasi serangan, serta efektivitas pertahanan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa gerakan Tapak Suci merupakan representasi matematika yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar matematika kontekstual berbasis budaya lokal.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional bola bekel merupakan salah satu warisan budaya yang mengandung berbagai aktivitas yang dapat dikaji dari perspektif etnomatematika. Namun, konsep-konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam permainan tersebut masih belum banyak didokumentasikan dan dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep-konsep matematika yang terkandung dalam permainan bola bekel serta mengkaji potensinya sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi yang dilakukan di Kecamatan Dringu, Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua orang tokoh masyarakat yang memahami dan pernah memainkan permainan bola bekel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan bola bekel mengandung konsep operasi hitung penjumlahan, penguraian bilangan (number partition), pola dan urutan bilangan, pengelompokan objek, serta konsep geometri pada bangun ruang bola. Selain itu, permainan ini juga melibatkan kemampuan memperkirakan waktu dan koordinasi spasial. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa permainan bola bekel berpotensi menjadi media pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual sekaligus mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal melalui pendekatan etnomatematika.

Abstract

The family is the first environment that plays a fundamental role in shaping children's personality and character. Positive parenting, characterized by warmth, open communication, appreciation, and active parental involvement, is believed to foster optimal character development in children. However, the persistently high incidence of violence against children indicates that positive parenting practices have not been widely implemented. This study aimed to determine whether positive parenting influences the character development of students at SDIT Al-Ghazali Pamekasan and to examine the extent of its influence. This research employed a quantitative approach using a causal-comparative design. The population consisted of all students in Grades 3 to 6 at SDIT Al-Ghazali Pamekasan, with a sample of 47 parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires to measure positive parenting practices and students' character development. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, normality and linearity tests, simple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The findings revealed that positive parenting had a significant effect on students' character development. This was evidenced by the F-test result, which showed an F-value of 26.981 with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted, while the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.375, indicating that positive parenting accounted for 37.5% of the variance in students' character development, while the remaining 62.5% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional engklek gunung di Desa Resongo, Kabupaten Probolinggo, memiliki potensi matematis yang besar, namun kajian etnomatematika yang mengungkap konsep geometri, bilangan, dan peluang di dalamnya masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sejarah dan praktik permainan engklek gunung, mengidentifikasi konsep matematika yang terkandung di dalamnya, serta merumuskan rekomendasi pemanfaatannya sebagai media pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan etnomatematika dengan jenis eksploratif budaya-matematis, dianalisis melalui kerangka enam aktivitas matematis Bishop (menghitung, mengukur, menentukan lokasi, merancang, bermain, dan menjelaskan). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi terhadap dua informan berusia sekitar 50 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lapangan permainan yang terdiri atas sembilan petak berbentuk persegi panjang dan setengah lingkaran memuat konsep geometri berupa bangun datar, simetri, dan hubungan spasial; penomoran petak secara berurutan mencerminkan konsep bilangan cacah dan ordinal; sedangkan aktivitas melempar gacuk merepresentasikan konsep peluang sederhana. Ketiga konsep tersebut terintegrasi dalam keenam aktivitas matematis Bishop. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa permainan engklek gunung tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai warisan budaya, tetapi juga berpotensi menjadi sumber belajar matematika yang kontekstual, bermakna, serta mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal.
