Abstract

This research is motivated by the condition of mentally retarded children, which needs to be discussed in the process of developing social skills. This research uses this type of research, which is qualitative research. Qualitative data is data in the form of words, sentences, gestures, facial expressions, charts, images and photos. The aim of this research is to determine the forms of social emotional guidance for mentally retarded children in improving social skills at SLB Mutiara Hati Medan Tembung and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the social skills of mentally retarded children at SLB Mutiara Hati Medan Tembung. This writing uses a qualitative descriptive method which is useful for providing information, facts and data regarding the mentor's efforts in developing the social skills of mentally retarded children at SLB Pearl Hati Medan Tembung. The research results are (1) Guidance methods in developing the social skills of mentally retarded children (a) Methods for developing questioning skills. (b) Efforts to develop skills in establishing and maintaining friendships. (c) Methods for developing collaboration skills. (d) Methods for developing sharing skills. (e) Skills methods in religion. (2) Supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the social skills of mentally retarded children.

Abstract

Listening ability is one of the important language skills for students in understanding foreign languages. However, students often have difficulty in developing their listening skills. Therefore, the use of songs as a tool in foreign language learning has become popular among educators and researchers. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using songs in improving students' listening skills. In this study, a quantitative method was applied through one group pre test and post test. In the study there were 25 students as samples in the study and each of them was in grade 9. The instrument used in collecting data is a test. The results of this study show that the use of song can effectively improve students' listening skills in English. This can be seen from the mean difference between pre test (57.8) and post test (81.6). The use of songs can improve students' listening comprehension and skills through several ways, such as improving vocabulary recognition skills, practicing context understanding, and increasing students' motivation and interest in foreign language learning. However, the effectiveness of using songs in foreign language learning depends on certain factors, such as the suitability of songs with learning objectives, the suitability of songs with students' ability levels, and the way of teaching carried out by teachers or instructors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe parenting education in stimulating children's growth and development through the use of objects in the surrounding environment. Of course, this is also in line with the aim of research activities regarding parenting development strategies for parents in fostering early childhood development in the Lemungsur village community, Kebumen district and the community in Plandi village, Banyumas district. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data collection tools are observation sheets, interview guides and documentation. Data processing was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis. And the results of the research show that parenting training strategies in stimulating early childhood growth and development are really needed by the community in the region. The level of parental education also influences understanding of early childhood care, because almost 80% of local people do not think that using objects in the surrounding environment can be useful for stimulating the growth and development of early childhood. So with this research, the results obtained are that the public can understand good parenting patterns and uniting as parents is an important key to optimizing the stimulation of early childhood growth and development.

Abstract

Popular culture is often interpreted as the practice of pacifism over the instant and commercial superiority of mass culture. Students, as community members, cannot be separated from social reality, which intersects with popular culture on a daily basis. Hegemonic popular culture can become an arena for contesting students' reinterpretation practices to express their resistance to the values that are behind the presence of a cultural trend. The purpose of this study is to reveal first, students' popular cultural practices in relation to changes in orientation as a scientifically oriented, objective, and critical learning agent, and second, how students make resistance efforts from within popular culture to re-create meaning practices in order to avoid domination. cultural hegemony in capitalism. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data analysis was carried out through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found two main things. First, popular culture is a social construction of mass media, which is an important part of the birth of mass culture. Second, popular culture is an arena for contestation of the practice of redefining so that it can change the values of cultural capitalism into values of resistance.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the strategies used by madrasa heads in an effort to improve students' reading and writing skills of the Al-Qur'an. The research method used was qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis technique after the data is collected (data collection) is the Miles, Huberman and Saldana technique, with a series of analyzes in the form of data display, condensation and conclusion. Data validation using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this research indicate that the madrasa head's strategy is to improve students' reading and writing skills of the al-Qur`an at MI As'adiyah. First, integrating al-Qur'an reading lessons into the masdrasah curriculum. Second, holding extracurricular lessons to read the al-Qur`an. Third, holding extracurricular learning to write the al-Qur`an. Fourth, holding MTQ (Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur'an) within the madrasah. Fifth, include students in external madrasah MTQ. Sixth, holding training for teachers. Seventh, Discipline teachers using a reward and punishment approach.

Abstract

The socioeconomic status of parents can be a factor affecting students' learning motivation. If a child's learning facility needs are not met due to the socioeconomic status of their parents, it may potentially impact the child's learning motivation. This study involves two variables: the independent variable (the variable that influences other variables) is socioeconomic status, and the dependent variable (the variable influenced by other variables) is the learning motivation in religious studies. This research uses the quantitative-descriptive correlation. Data collection was done using both population and sample methods. The researcher used the mean score to determine the level of parents' socioeconomic status and the level of student motivation in religious studies. Furthermore, the study aimed to ascertain whether there is a significant relationship between socioeconomic status and learning motivation in religious studies at SMA Advent Nabire, using Pearson correlation. The results of the research conducted at SMA Advent Nabire, Papua, indicate that the level of parents' socioeconomic status is moderate with a mean of 2.89 (rounded from 2.8807), and students' learning motivation in religious studies is moderate with a mean of 3.22 (rounded from 3.2135). Additionally, the study at SMA Advent Nabire, Papua, shows that there is no significant relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and students' learning motivation in religious studies. This conclusion is based on the calculation result with p-value = 0.543, which is greater than α = 0.05, and a correlation value of -0.073, which is less than the table value of 0.227.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menggali nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang tertanam dalam tradisi Grebeg Besar di Kota Demak. Grebeg Besar merupakan suatu bentuk kesenian hasil akulturasi budaya Islam Jawa dengan budaya Arab, yang bertujuan untuk menghormati perjuangan para wali dalam menyebarkan agama Islam di tanah Jawa khususnya di Demak Bintoro yang diprakarsai oleh Sunan Kalijaga. Sosialisasi global saat ini menyebabkan masyarakat memiliki sikap individual dan egois serta menghargai uang atau money centric. Pengaruh media massa yang menyebarkan konsumerisme, pewarisan nilai secara instan, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai global menyebabkan hilangnya nilai-nilai tradisional. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan historis dan normatif yaitu berkaitan dengan objek penelitian. Metode historis digunakan untuk memahami Islam dari sudut pandang sosial-historis, sedangkan metode normatif digunakan untuk memahami Islam dari sudut pandang doktrinal-teologis. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kabupaten Demak yang merupakan pusat tradisi Grebeg Besar. Data penelitian diperoleh dari pihak pengelola Masjid Agung Demak, pihak pengelola makam Sunan Kalijaga, dan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang tertanam dalam tradisi Grebeg Besar Kota Demak adalah kepemimpinan, gotong royong, estetika, dan religiusitas. Tradisi Grebeg Agung dapat menjadi media pembelajaran bagi siswa sekolah dasar untuk memahami dan menerima nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam tradisi tersebut.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing teaching materials in the 3d Page flip-based Indonesian literary history course. This research uses a 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The objectives of this study are 1) to determine how the validity of the development of teaching materials in the 3d Page flip-based Indonesian literature history course at FKIP UMSU, and 2) how effective the development of 3d Page flip-based Indonesian literature history teaching materials at FKIP UMSU. This research produced teaching materials for Indonesian literary history based on 3d Page flip. The results of the study were validated by expert experts. The results of the validation of teaching materials are calculated using the average for each validation indicator. While the effectiveness of teaching materials, student responses in the Indonesian literary history course are based on 3d page flip after being given teaching materials in the learning process. This research was conducted at the Education Study Program Indonesian the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UMSU which was conducted in 2021. In this research, teaching materials have been developed in the 3d Page flip-based Indonesian literary history course.

Abstract

This research aims to determine teachers' perceptions of students' learning behavior after online learning at MTs Negeri 2 Sekadau. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. The primary data includes three teachers and the headmaster of MTs Negeri 2 Sekadau, while the secondary data consists of document archives related to the research. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The documentation is done using a mobile phone camera. The data analysis techniques include data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research indicate that the students' learning behavior after online learning has shown positive and negative changes. The positive aspect is that the students are able to learn independently even after online learning, making it easier for teachers to deliver learning materials. The negative changes in learning behavior include laziness, failure to complete assignments, late attendance, and lack of focus during learning. However, the teachers and the school have tried to improve the students' learning behavior after online learning, such as providing advice and imposing sanctions on students who frequently skip classes and rarely submit assignments.

Abstract

Blended learning model research has been widely carried out in the world of education, but no meta-analysis of blended learning models has been found on students' digital literacy. This research aims to determine the effect of the blended learning model on students' digital literacy. This research is a type of meta-analysis research. This research analyzes 11 effect sizes sourced from Google Scholar, ERIC, ScienceDirect and Wiley from 2019-2023 which includes 220 students. Data analysis with the help of the JSAP application. This research concludes that the summary effect size value obtained from the random effect model is 0.793 with medium criteria. These findings show that the blended learning model can have a significant influence on students' digital literacy.
