It provides an academic platform for teachers, lecturers, and researchers to contribute innovative work in the field. Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan is first published in March 2017 and covers much research in all levels of education (primary, secondary, and higher education). Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan become a CrossRef Member since the year 2019. Therefore, all articles published will have a unique DOI number. Beginning from Vol. 1 No. 1 (2017), all articles will be published in the English version and Indonesia version. The publication frequency is twice a year in March and October. Abstract

The problem in this research is access to education for school-age children in coastal areas in Makassar City. The research aims to determine the lack of access to education for school-age children in coastal areas in Makassar City. The type of research used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in the research were school-age children from elementary school, middle school, and high school. The supporting subjects of this research are the children's parents and community leaders. The object of this research is access to education for school-aged children. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The research results include: (1) education for the community in Tallo Subdistrict has not been a priority, and the school dropout rate in the area is quite high; (2) factors that cause many school-aged children in Tallo Village not to continue their education are limited school facilities, limited funds, lack of parental support, unsupportive social environment, lack of interest in children going to school, and problems with changing domicile; (3) the net enrollment rate at the elementary, middle and high school levels in Makassar City has decreased in recent years; (4) educational program innovation is needed to overcome the problem of access to education for school-age children. One of the policies that needs to be considered is strengthening community-based alternative education programs.

Abstract

This action research-based writing training is a component of the community service initiative organized by social studies lecturers at the Teacher Training Faculty of Tanjungpura University. The training adopted an action research approach, which involved some cycles, each comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. This approach was chosen to encourage participants to share their insights to improve the training quality. The research goal was to gather teachers' perceptions and recommendations for enhancing the quality of action research-based academic writing training. The study involved 33 secondary school Social Studies teachers taking place at SMK 2 Singkawang. To collect data, an open-ended questionnaire was utilized. The results revealed that teachers faced challenges in accessing internet resources and suggested extending the duration of the training. They also recommended providing more comprehensive information and examples for each section of the research article. Lastly, the teachers expressed a positive view of the training.

Abstract

Sebuah penelitian berjudul "Efektivitas Penggunaan Laboratorium dalam Pembelajaran Biologi mahasiswa prodi Biokewirausahaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang" telah dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2022. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana efektivitas penggunaan laboratorium Biologi mahasiswa prodi Biokewirausahaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan dokumen serta kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Data tentang efektivitas penggunaan laboratorium dalam pembelajaran Biologi Dasar dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan laboratorium dalam pembelajaran Biologi Dasar pada Mahasiswa Semester I Prodi Biokewirausahaan dinilai sebagai tingkat efektivitas yang tinggi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students. The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the role of digital literacy and self-efficacy in increasing students' critical thinking in the digital era. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling of 100 students. The instruments used are tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis including hypothesis testing T test, F test and R2 test. The results of this study show 1) Digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on students' critical thinking in the digital era, 2) Self-Efficacy has a positive and significant effect on students' critical thinking in the digital era, and 3) Digital literacy and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect and are significant to students' critical thinking in the digital era. The findings of this study hint at the importance of digital literacy and self-efficacy in increasing students' critical thinking in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the Improvement of Students' Creative Thinking Ability Through Independent Learning and Intellectual Intelligence. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling of 100 students. The instruments used are tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis including hypothesis testing T test, F test and R2 test. The results of this study indicate: 1) Learning Independence has a positive and significant effect on Students' Creative Thinking Ability, 2) Intellectual Intelligence has a positive and significant effect on Student Creative Thinking Ability, and 3) Learning Independence and Intellectual Intelligence have a positive and significant effect on Student Creative Thinking Ability. The findings of this study indicate the importance of learning independence and intellectual intelligence in improving students' creative thinking skills.

This research is motivated by the importance of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) for Becoming a Professional Teacher. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of self-efficacy and motivation on TPACK to become professional teachers. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling of 100 teachers. The instruments used were observation, questionnaires and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis including hypothesis testing T test, F test and R2 test. The results of this study indicate: 1) Self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), 2) Motivation has a positive and significant effect on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), and 3) Self- efficacy and motivation have a positive effect and significant to Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). The findings of this study indicate the importance of self-efficacy and motivation in improving Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) to become professional teachers.

Abstract

Generation Z, which is currently dominated by students and college students, is a generation that has experienced growth in line with technological advances. The large number of media interventions and easy access to detrimental information can hinder efforts to instill positive moral values. One of the first steps in designing and developing moral learning strategies that suit students' needs is to understand their moral characteristics. Therefore, the aim of this research is to reveal the characteristics of Generation Z in terms of their moral considerations. This research involved 63 generation Z students and used descriptive methods, with data collection carried out through a test technique known as the "moral reasoning test". The research results indicate that the moral development of generation Z students tends to be at a conventional level, dominated by stage 4 followed by stage 3. In this stage, good actions are carried out by obeying obligations and respecting authority. This reflects social conformity, where individuals tend to act in accordance with social norms to gain positive recognition from friends or other adults.

Abstract

Kearifan lokal di Kalimantan Barat memiliki potensi besar untuk diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran kimia. Dalam mengimplementasikan kearifan lokal pada pembelajaran kimia, diperlukannya pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang berkaitan dengan ilmu kimia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengeksplorasi kearifan lokal Kalimantan Barat yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kimia serta diharapkan dapat memberikan dorongan bagi pendidik kimia dalam mengimplementasikan kearifan lokal yang dituang pada rancangan pembelajarannya. Metode yang digunakan ialah deskripsi kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian literature review. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Kalimantan Barat memiliki kearifan lokal yang dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran kimia seperti penggunaan tanaman sebagai zat pewarna, obat tradisional, makanan tradisional, maupun budaya meriam karbit. Penanaman karakter dan nilai-nilai budaya lingkungan sekitar sebagai penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila melalui pengintegrasian nilai-nilai kearifan lokal merupakan langkah yang tepat.

Abstract

Vocabulary is an important component in learning English that should be mastered by students before mastering the four skills in English. However, the students had several problems in vocabulary mastery that caused the students were not able to comprehend the written descriptive text so that the students were not able to achieve the MCC. Therefore, the purpose of research was to increase the students’ vocabulary mastery by using List Group Label Strategy. The researcher used the Classroom Action Research method as research design that was held on in two cycles. The results of the research showed that in Cycle I most of students were not able to achieve the MCC, there were 4 students (15%) in “Very Good” level, 11 students (42%) in “Good” level, 9 students (35%) in “Enough” level, 2 students (8%) in “Less” level. The average of students score in Cycle I was 69.61. While the result in Cycle II showed that all of students have passed the MCC, there were 11 students (42%) in “Very Good” level, and 15 students (58%) in “Good” level. The average of students score in Cycle II was 85.57. Based on the results of the research, it proved that List Group Label Strategy increases the students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menggambarkan preferensi gaya belajar peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Kota Singkawang pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 400 peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Singkawang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket mengenai gaya belajar, terdiri dari 16 item yang berkaitan dengan gaya belajar VARK (Visual, Auditorial, Read/Write, Kinestetik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya belajar peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Singkawang cenderung unimodal, dan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan dalam gaya belajar antara peserta didik berdasarkan gender.
