Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital-based non-test psychological assessment course teaching module, using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker software, which can display various features, such as audio, images, and videos. This software helps students understand clearly the illustration of the module content. This research method used the development research, with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) as a reference. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis. The findings show that the digital module in the non-test GC psychological assessment course at this university can be used by lecturers to assist lecturers in providing interesting learning to students in higher education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to ascertain the impact of changes brought about by the new PT regulations on the professionalism of the employees of PT. Pojur Sumenep. Post-Covid-19 Pojur Sumenep. This study is quantitative and uses questionnaire distribution as a method of data collecting. On 30 employees of PT. Pojur Sumenep, the sample was established using non-probability sampling and a saturation sampling technique. Simple linear regression analysis utilizing the SPSS application is the data analysis method used. The ratio indicates that 82.8% of the worker professionalism variable can be accounted for by the change management variable. While additional variables/factors outside of this research account for the remaining 17.2%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap mutu pendidikan di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri 12 Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan survey. Selanjutnya, populasi dalam penelitian merupakan guru di SMA Negeri 12 Kota Jambi. Sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan keseluruhan dari populasi yaitu sebanyak 48 orang guru. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 30 item pernyataan, dimana kuesioner terebut diberikan kepada 48 guru selaku sampel dalam penelitian ini. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian yang menggunakan output spss versi 24 tersebut menunjukkan bahwa nilai korelasi (R) yaitu sebesar 0,195. Dari tabel tersebut juga diperoleh koefisien determinan atau R square sebesar 0,038 yang berarti bahwa pengaruh varibel Kepemimpinan Kepala sekolah terhadap mutu pendidikan sebesar 3,8%. Selain itu, hasil yang diperoleh dari koefisien menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi pada tabel koefisien diperoleh sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa variabel Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah berpengaruh terhadap variabel Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

Fully online language teaching is still a new approach in the Indonesian context, even though blended learning and technology have been integrated into English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms for some time. The instructional design, YouTube and Webcomics (YouCom) as digital task-based language teaching (DTBLT) practices in synchronous and blended learning environments. The study investigates the effectiveness of learners adopting YouCom through determinants of engagement, motivation, cognitive process, and student satisfaction. It reflects what EFL students think about the difficulties faced by English majors when learning languages online through YouTube and Webcomic applications. The online survey was distributed to English learners in a university in Indonesia with 63 respondents through purposive sampling. The hypotheses were tested using multiple regression analysis (MRA). The results reveal that the cognitive process influences learners’ effectiveness, followed by student satisfaction, engagement, and motivation. The recommendation is to increase perceptions through the cognitive process, student satisfaction, and engagement because they are firmly and significantly associated with learners’ effectiveness. The expanded sample to other areas is suggested. The contribution could benefit educators in implementing English learners’ perceptions and increase their willingness to learn using Webcomics and YouTube as the teaching materials.

Abstract

This research is driven by the challenges faced in Arabic writing skill instruction, where the performance has been suboptimal. One of the notable repercussions of these challenges is the students' reduced capacity to generate innovative ideas in their Arabic writing, subsequently hampering their critical thinking abilities in composing essays. In the realm of Arabic writing instruction, students must undergo a multistep process, encompassing word/sentence analysis, idea generation, and essay composition. Hence, there arises a need for a methodology capable of stimulating students' capacity for analytical, creative, and practical thinking. The research inquiries in this investigation encompass: (1) the assessment of teachers' and students' requirements concerning the adoption of a learning approach based on the Triarchy of Intelligence for enhancing Arabic writing skills among seventh-grade MTs students, (2) the development of a prototype for a Triarchy of Intelligence-based learning method for bolstering Arabic writing skills among seventh-grade MTs students, and (3) the expert and teacher validation, along with subsequent revisions of the prototype's design for a learning method rooted in the Triarchy of Intelligence, intended to enhance Arabic writing skills among seventh-grade MTs students. This research utilizes qualitative research methods, employing a research and development design. The research phases covered in this study only progress up to the fifth stage out of ten planned stages, which include the identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The outcomes of this research can be summarized as follows. Firstly, both teachers and students express a desire to implement a development of learning methods based on the Triarchy of Intelligence to enhance Arabic writing skills among seventh-grade MTs students. Secondly, the prototype of this learning method encompasses the rationale behind its creation, key competencies and performance indicators for Arabic writing skills in the second semester of the seventh grade, instructional steps, and assessment criteria. Lastly, the evaluation of the material/content's appropriateness yields a score of 91.9, while the appropriateness of the presentation receives a score of 94.4. The language aspect is rated at 45.66, and the method's feasibility aspect attains a score of 104.48. Consequently, the overall assessment of this learning method stands at 336.44, classified as "adequate" with a commendable designation. Hence, it can be effectively utilized in enhancing the writing skills of seventh-grade MTs students.

Abstract

Kendala dan kurangnya persiapan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di masa pandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan hambatan belajar bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode didactical design research (DDR) dan bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan belajar siswa serta mengembangkan dan menerapkan desain didaktis dalam mengatasi hambatan belajar siswa kelas IV pada materi berbentuk datar selama masa pandemi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes hambatan belajar, angket, wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil tes hambatan belajar, ditemukan 8 jenis hambatan belajar terkait dengan kemampuan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran materi bangun datar pada masa pandemi. Desain didaktis dalam penelitian ini disusun dalam bentuk lembar kerja siswa. Rancangan didaktis disusun selama tiga kali pertemuan berdasarkan karakteristik dan prinsip model Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Hasil implementasi desain didaktis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar respon yang ditunjukkan siswa adalah dengan mengikuti prediksi. Selain itu, hasil skala sikap yang menunjukkan sikap siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

This research aims to correct linguistic errors in exposition texts written by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bontocani, Bone Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Qualitative research is a research procedure that produces descriptive data, in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. The data for this research is data from students' work sheets writing exposition texts. The data source in this research is class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bontocani, Bone Regency. The data collection technique used was reviewing documents in the form of student exposition texts. The results of the research show that the language errors of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bontocani, Bone Regency include errors in linguistic elements, namely the use of diction or word choice, the use of spelling, the use of conjunctions, the use of verbs, the use of reference words, the use of sentence structure, and the use of words persuasive.

Abstract

This research aims to determine speaking skills by applying a communicative approach to class XI students at SMA Jaya Negara Makassar. This research is experimental research that uses a comparison between two groups, namely the experimental group and the control groupThe results of this research indicate that the learning outcomes in learning speaking skills for class Among the 21 experimental class students, there were 19 students who scored>75. In contrast to the learning outcomes in control class learning, it is categorized as inadequate because the scores obtained by students have not reached the set criteria, namely 85% of the total number of students who obtained scores <75. Meanwhile, the students' score only reached 4.8% or 1 person. Thus, it can be said that the learning outcomes in teaching speaking skills for class XI students at SMA Jaya Negara Makassar by applying a communicative approach are very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of moral development of grade IV students based on Kohlberg's theory. The subjects of this study consisted of a male student, range 11-year-old elementary school students. The research uses qualitative research methods. The results showed that elementary school children aged 11 years were generally included in the pre-conventional stage. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that 11-year-old children are still at the pre-conventional stage 1, which tend to want to do something not because they need results but because they are afraid of punishment. This corresponds to the stage of Kohlberg's Theory, namely at the Pre-conventional level, the stage of punishment orientation. Keywords: Morals, Grade IV students, on Kohlberg's theory.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance mechanism, corporate social responsibility, and intellectual capital on financial performance with earnings management as a mediating variable in companies in various industrial sectors on the Indonesian stock exchange for the period 2017 – 2021. This type of research is a quantitative research type. The population in this study are all companies in the various industrial sectors listed on the Indonesian stock exchange from 2017 – 2021. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling method with a sample of 26 companies with 5 years of observation so that the total observational data is 130. The path analysis research design is used as a a tool to determine the direction of the variables studied and to justify how significant the influence of the independent and dependent variables is either directly or indirectly through mediating variables. The results of this study indicate that the mechanisms of good corporate governance, intellectual capital, and earnings management have a positive and significant effect on financial performance and Corporate Social Responsisbility has not significant effect on financial perfomance. Mechanisms of good corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and intellectual capital also have a positive and significant effect on earnings management. Earnings management can mediate the effect of good corporate governance on financial performance. Earnings management can also mediate the effect of corporate social responsibility and intellectual capital on financial performance.
