Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of educative interaction in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its impact on students’ learning motivation at SD–SMP Negeri Satap 7 Konawe Selatan. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that educative interaction occurs through the use of two-way communication, group discussions, individual guidance, project-based learning, and teacher role-modeling. Positive and humanistic interactions were proven to enhance students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased classroom participation, self-confidence, interest in religious practices, and commitment to completing assignments. However, the effectiveness of educative interaction is influenced by several barriers, including differences in students’ academic abilities, limited mastery of active learning methods, psychological challenges among students, and inadequate learning facilities. To overcome these obstacles, teachers implemented various learning strategies, provided rewards, applied personal approaches, and strengthened collaboration with parents. This study confirms that educative interaction is a key component in the success of PAI learning and the development of students’ learning motivation and religious character.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the transformation of pesantren education in promoting sharia-based entrepreneurship through a vocational education approach at the Riau Technology Islamic Boarding School. In facing the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, Islamic boarding schools are required not only to produce graduates who are spiritually religious but also technically and economically competent. This study uses a qualitative approach using the case study method, where data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study show that the integration of the vocational curriculum with Islamic values can shape the character of students as independent and ethical young entrepreneurs. The Sharia-based business unit managed by students serves as a real-world learning platform that not only hone skills but also instill Islamic trading principles. These findings show that the Islamic boarding school-based vocational education model has significant replication potential in other Islamic education contexts. This study recommends strengthening the curriculum, strategic partnerships, digitizing learning, and business mentoring for students as a further step in developing sharia entrepreneurship in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth how the principles of Maqasid al-Shari'ah are implemented in the practice of inclusive Islamic education in Islamic Elementary Schools friendly to Children with Special Needs (ABK) in Pekanbaru City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with class teachers and ABK assistant teachers, school principals, and parents of students, as well as documentation of the school curriculum and programs. The total informants in this study were 12 people. The results of the study indicate that the values of Maqasid al-Shari'ah are implemented in five concrete forms of protection: Hifzh al-Dīn (protecting religion), Hifzh al-Nafs (protecting the soul), Hifzh al-‘Aql (protecting reason), Hifzh al-Nasl (protecting offspring), and Hifzh al-Māl (protecting wealth). The inclusive Islamic education implemented in the school is not merely an administrative approach, but a real representation of the implementation of maqasid syar'i in modern education. This study recommends the integration of a maqasid-based education curriculum to strengthen aspects of justice, protection, and empowerment of children with special needs in Islamic school environments.

Abstract

This study examines the Strategic Review of Moderate Islamic Education within the framework of local Malay cultural wisdom. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is analyzed conceptually to illustrate the relationship between moderate Islamic values and elements of Malay culture. The results show that the Malay cultural values inherited through Tunjuk Ajar Melayu are very much in line with moderate Islamic teachings. These values reflect Islamic moral and social teachings that prioritize harmony, justice, and respect for others. Furthermore, Malay culture has also long taught the importance of good manners in interactions, etiquette, and a collective spirit that aligns with the principle of moderation in Islamic education. The integration of moderate Islamic education with local Malay cultural wisdom can produce a contextual and applicable educational model. This model is not only able to instill inclusive and anti-extremist Islamic values but also strengthens love for local culture that is increasingly eroded by the current of modernity.
