Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of a Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) in in Panji Subdistrict, Tenggarong District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency as a community-based health service , with particular attention to the role of parents in supporting program effectiveness. The study is motivated by the importance of sustained nutrition interventions in improving the nutritional status of children under five, preventing stunting, and strengthening public health outcomes. A qualitative approach with a descriptive evaluative design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document review involving parents, community health volunteers, nutrition officers, and local government representatives. The findings show that parental involvement is reflected in three main dimensions: ensuring children attend community health service activities, understanding the supplementary feeding menu, and applying healthy eating practices at home. In general, parents demonstrated strong commitment to the program, although differences in nutritional literacy remain a major challenge. Parental contributions include emotional support, practical assistance, information sharing, and the adoption of healthy practices in everyday life. Program implementation is also shaped by both enabling and constraining factors. Supporting factors include active community health volunteers, assistance from nutrition personnel, and high parental enthusiasm, whereas inhibiting factors include limited funding, low nutritional literacy, and the absence of working parents during scheduled activities. Overall, the supplementary feeding program has been implemented fairly well, but its long-term effectiveness depends heavily on parental participation and stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

Bureaucratic reform is a strategic agenda for creating clean, accountable, responsive, and citizen-oriented governance. This study aims to analyze the implementation of bureaucratic reform and public service innovation in a village government institution, with particular attention to their role in improving service quality and community satisfaction. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to examine two main aspects: the contribution of bureaucratic reform to service performance improvement and the forms of service innovation implemented, along with their effects on service accessibility, efficiency, and inclusiveness. The findings indicate that bureaucratic reform has been implemented relatively well, as reflected in simplified service procedures, strengthened accountability, and greater transparency in administrative processes. Several service innovations have also been introduced, including digital-based administrative services and outreach-based service delivery programs that bring public services closer to the community. These innovations have improved access to services, particularly for vulnerable groups and residents with limited mobility. In addition, community participation in decision-making has increased through communication forums linking village authorities and citizens. However, the implementation of bureaucratic reform continues to face challenges, especially limited human resource capacity and inadequate technological infrastructure. The study therefore recommends strengthening staff capacity, improving information technology facilities, and expanding community participation to support the sustainability of bureaucratic reform and the delivery of higher-quality public services.

Abstract

Immunization is one of the most effective public health interventions for preventing infectious diseases and reducing morbidity and mortality rates. In Indonesia, immunization policies have been regulated through various national health regulations. However, the implementation of these policies at the local level still faces several challenges. This study aims to identify the main barriers in the implementation of the immunization program and to explore effective strategies to improve immunization coverage at the Loa Janan Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This research employed a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with health workers and community members, surveys distributed to parents of eligible children, and field observations of immunization service delivery. The findings indicate that although the immunization program at the Loa Janan Health Center has generally been implemented effectively, several obstacles remain. These include limited community awareness regarding the importance of immunization, geographical barriers that affect service accessibility, and the dissemination of health information that has not yet reached all segments of the community effectively. To address these challenges, several efforts have been implemented, including community education and socialization programs, cross-sectoral collaboration with local stakeholders, and service innovations aimed at improving accessibility and community engagement. The results of this study provide practical insights and policy recommendations that can support the improvement of immunization programs and strengthen public health policy implementation at the local level.

Abstract

Vocational education plays a crucial role in preparing a skilled workforce ready to meet the dynamic needs of the industry. Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Indonesia are expected to equip students with skills that align with current industry requirements, particularly in construction technology and architecture. Mastery of 3D design applications such as Revit and SketchUp is highly essential. However, previous studies have indicated that proficiency in these applications remains limited among SMK teachers and students, primarily due to inadequate training and lack of sufficient resources. This study employs action research methods to enhance the competencies of SMK teachers and students in using Revit and SketchUp. The methodology includes cycles of planning, implementation, and observation. Training outcomes reveal significant improvements among teachers, while students still require additional field knowledge to use the software effectively. To optimize training results, it is necessary to include additional modules on field knowledge, real-world projects, and projectbased learning (PBL). PBL has proven to enhance both technical skills and soft skills such as communication and time management. Furthermore, industry involvement in projects offers valuable practical insights. Integrating project-based learning and industry partnerships is a crucial strategy in vocational education to ensure that SMK graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the industry

Abstract

Elementary school has a crucial role in forming students' literacy and numeracy skills, which are the foundation for learning at higher levels of education. Various studies show that literacy and numeracy levels among students still require serious attention. The Teaching Campus Program, as part of the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, is here to answer this challenge by involving students in efforts to improve the quality of education in primary and secondary schools in Indonesia. The Teaching Campus 6 program focuses on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of students at SMPN 1 Turikale and SD Inpres 5/81 Passippo. Activities will be carried out from July-December 2023 with the target participants being all students in grades 1-6 in Presidential Instruction 5/81 Passippo and specifically grades 8 at junior high school level. The implementation of this program is carried out through 5 stages, namely orientation and introduction of students to the Field Supervisor, explanation of KM6 activities, coordination with the district office and school principal, presentation of the work program and monitoring and evaluation. Campus teaching activities prove the importance of direct interaction between supervisor and students. This allows for the exchange of ideas, clarification of concepts, and more in-depth discussion of the material. The use of the latest facilities and technology makes a major contribution to improving the quality of teaching. The use of multimedia, interactive classrooms, and online resources can enrich students' learning experiences.
