Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' needs as a basis for developing ethnoscience-based chemistry teaching materials on chemical equilibrium by integrating the context of the mangrove ecosystem in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey design of 40 grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Grogot through a Likert scale questionnaire compiled based on 13 indicators and grouped into four dimensions, namely the relevance of teaching materials, conceptual understanding, learning experience and technology involvement, and the integration of ethnoscience and local wisdom. The research findings indicate that the teaching materials used are still abstract and have not optimally accommodated the local context, while students show a high need for additional teaching materials and learning related to the mangrove ecosystem.. This study contributes to the development of ethnoscience-based chemistry education by demonstrating the potential of mangrove ecosystems as a local context for learning chemical equilibrium. The empirical evidence obtained provides a foundation for the development of ethnoscience-based teaching materials that can connect abstract chemical concepts with local environmental phenomena close to students' lives.

Abstract

Madrasas, as Islamic educational institutions, face various internal challenges, particularly related to weak collaboration among members of the madrasa community, low participation in decision-making, and the emergence of resistance to leadership policies. These conditions are often influenced by leadership styles that do not fully integrate moral, spiritual, and national values in a balanced manner. This study aims to position prophetic leadership based on prophetic values as an ethical and practical framework for developing humanistic and transformative madrasa leadership. These values are combined with national values, particularly religious moderation, in an effort to foster an inclusive, tolerant, and collaborative attitude in madrasa organizational management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, aiming to gain an in-depth understanding of the internal leadership dynamics in madrasas and efforts to mitigate the crisis of collaboration and organizational resistance. The results indicate that the crisis of collaboration and organizational resistance in madrasas can be minimized through the implementation of consistent, transparent, and participatory prophetic leadership, oriented toward the value of religious moderation. The integration of Islamic values and nationalism has been proven to strengthen the trust of madrasa communities, improve internal communication, and build a harmonious work culture.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of the perceptions of students of the Economics Education Study Program at Sriwijaya University regarding the implementation of accounting practicum learning. The research method used was descriptive quantitative, with a population of 154 students and a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire compiled based on four aspects, including (1) the characteristics of the accounting practicum course; (2) obstacles to implementing accounting practical learning; (3) need for digital accounting practical books; (4) Competency analysis and learning outcomes. Based on the research conducted, a picture of student perceptions was obtained, namely that this course is very popular with students because it supports their competence as future accounting and economics teachers. In addition, various learning obstacles were still encountered, such as limited use of computers and accounting applications, basic understanding of accounting, learning time, material complexity, and creative and diverse teaching resources. Therefore, 43.5% of students strongly agreed, and 56.5% agreed that they needed creative learning resources in the form of digital accounting practicum books that could guide accounting practicum activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mentoring process conducted by kindergarten supervisors in Depok District, Sleman Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta, and identify the challenges encountered during its implementation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the mentoring process generally follows the framework of the Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel Regulation Number 4831/B/HK.03.01/2023 on the Role of School Supervisors in Implementing the Merdeka Belajar Policy in Educational Units, encompassing planning, implementation, and reporting stages. However, disparities were found in the frequency of school visits, with only a few sample schools receiving regular mentoring, while others were never visited. Key challenges include high supervisor workload due to an excessive number of schools under their supervision, geographical barriers hindering direct visits, resistance from senior teachers to change, and low information technology proficiency among educators. The implications underscore the need for workload redistribution among supervisors, leveraging digital technology for remote mentoring, enhancing teachers' technological capacity, and adopting a more persuasive and contextual approach to address resistance to change. Policy recommendations include adjusting the supervisor-to-school ratio and strengthening technology-based mentoring systems to ensure equitable access for all schools.

Abstract

Students’ low motivation in Social Studies (IPS) at the MTs level remains a challenge due to limited instructional media and the dominance of conventional teaching methods. Although digital media have been shown to enhance learning motivation, systematically developed IPS media tailored to MTs students’ needs are still limited. This study aims to examine the effect of Gen-Smart digital learning media integrated into a blended-based experiential learning model on students’ motivation. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the study involved two eighth-grade classes at MTsN 7 Malang, each consisting of 30 students assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental class engaged in online and offline activities based on Kolb’s experiential learning stages, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected through a Likert-scale motivation questionnaire administered during pretest and posttest and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent samples t-tests. The findings revealed a significant difference between groups (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with the experimental class showing greater improvement in motivation. These results indicate that integrating Gen-Smart into blended learning effectively enhances students’ motivation in Social Studies.

Abstract

Conventional academic services in higher education often face information fragmentation and limited document access, which hinder transparency. This study aims to analyze the optimization of a website-based academic information system in strengthening public service integrity at the Department of Sendratasik, Universitas Negeri Medan. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. A total of 186 active students at Universitas Negeri Medan participated in the survey to measure satisfaction levels before and after six months of system implementation in 2025/2026 , while 12 key informants were interviewed regarding governance challenges. The results showed that average student satisfaction increased significantly from 63% to 86% following the development of four departmental websites. The highest improvement occurred in digital document availability and academic information transparency. Qualitative findings revealed initial constraints involving limited infrastructure, varying digital literacy, and the absence of standardized digital procedures. Optimizing this system strengthens transparency, accountability, and digital documentation. The study concludes that website-based academic information systems serve as strategic instruments for digital integrity governance to enhance student satisfaction in higher education. It recommends strengthening digital policies, system integration, and continuous human resource development
