Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of ChatGPT in improving English language skills through systematic literature review. The method used is a systematic analysis of 43 journals related to ChatGPT and English education obtained from Mendeley, with a focus on the benefits, challenges, and pedagogical implications of using AI in language learning. Research results show that ChatGPT provides benefits in the development of writing and speaking skills through interactive feedback, AI-based exercises, and conversation simulations that allow students to practice in real contexts. In addition, ChatGPT supports independent learning, increases student involvement, enriches vocabulary, and helps in formative assessment by providing corrections and improvement suggestions. However, this study also found significant challenges, including excessive reliance on technology, lack of understanding of cultural context, potential bias in AI response, as well as the risk of plagiarism and academic integrity violations. In addition, the quality of the answers produced is not always accurate, so teacher guidance is needed to ensure that students continue to think critically and not just passively receive information. In conclusion, although Chat GPT has transformational potential in English learning, its effectiveness is highly dependent on ethical implementation, appropriate pedagogical strategies, and clear regulations. Therefore, training is needed for educators to optimize its use in learning, as well as a blended learning-based approach that combines AI technology with direct interaction between teachers and students to create a balanced, effective, and appropriate learning environment for the needs of learners.

Abstract

Teaching English as a second language (ESL) to young learners presents a unique set of challenges and requires the use of effective and innovative strategies. Short attention spans, differences in learning pace and style, and the need to make learning relevant and engaging for children, are some of the key barriers faced by educators. Through this study, we explore various methods and approaches to overcome these challenges, including the use of props, games and other interactive activities that support visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The study also highlights the importance of differentiating teaching and adapting to each child's specific needs to maximise learning effectiveness. In addition, the establishment of a positive and supportive classroom environment, as well as classroom behaviour management, were seen as important factors in facilitating successful language learning. The conclusion of this study provides insights into effective strategies in educating young learners in ESL, demonstrating the importance of teaching approaches that are creative, flexible and responsive to individual needs.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a vital role in shaping the consciousness structure of Muslim societies, including in the aspects of justice and gender equality. However, in practice, the Islamic education system is often still biased against women due to the dominance of patriarchal religious interpretations. This article aims to analyze the thoughts of Dr. Lies Marcoes-Natsir, an Indonesian Muslim anthropologist and feminist, in addressing issues of gender injustice in Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, examining Lies Marcoes’s main works and supporting literature related to Islamic feminism, feminist hermeneutics, and inclusive education. The study’s findings show that Lies Marcoes proposes three main strategies in Islamic education: (1) critique of the patriarchal education system that legitimizes the subordination of women; (2) the concept of transformative education that integrates social justice values into the learning process; and (3) the use of feminist hermeneutics as an epistemological approach to re-read religious texts contextually and justly. In addition, she developed an inclusivity strategy that covers structural, cultural, and pedagogical aspects, and emphasized the importance of women's representation in the leadership of Islamic educational institutions. Marcoes’s thoughts contribute significantly to formulating an Islamic education that is not only normatively religious but also substantively inclusive and just. This article is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, educators, and education activists in building a transformative Islamic education system that is responsive to gender justice

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of mastery among Office Administration Education students regarding various data processing features in Microsoft Excel. In today’s digital workplace, proficiency in Excel is essential, yet many students still struggle with functions beyond the basic level. The problem addressed in this research is the gap between the required digital skills in the professional environment and the actual competencies possessed by students. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, involving five selected students from the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters as respondents. Data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire that measured proficiency across basic, intermediate, and advanced Excel features. The results indicate that students exhibit strong proficiency in basic functions such as SUM and AVERAGE. However, their understanding and application of more complex functions such as IF statements, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP are significantly weaker. This suggests a lack of exposure to more advanced digital tools within the current curriculum. The findings underscore the need for more comprehensive and practical digital literacy training to bridge the skills gap and better prepare students for the demands of modern administrative work environments.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of using interactive media in natural science (science) learning in elementary schools on students' scientific attitudes and concept achievement. This study was carried out using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining various scientific articles, research reports and proceedings from the last ten years. The results of the analysis show that interactive media generally has a positive influence in fostering students' scientific attitudes, such as curiosity, thoroughness, openness to evidence, and cooperation. Apart from that, the use of interactive media has also proven effective in helping students understand abstract science concepts through visualization, simulations and more concrete and meaningful learning experiences. The link between scientific attitude and concept achievement has also been identified in a number of studies, where a good scientific attitude tends to strengthen the process of understanding concepts in depth. However, the effectiveness of interactive media is greatly influenced by various contextual factors, such as the type of media, the level of student development, and the learning strategies implemented by teachers. Therefore, the use of interactive media in science learning needs to be designed appropriately so that it is able to support learning objectives optimally, both in terms of mastery of the material and the formation of students' scientific character from an early age.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has a strategic role in shaping the character, morals, and spirituality of students. However, the implementation of PAI curriculum in the field still tends to emphasize cognitive aspects, thus neglecting affective and psychomotor dimensions. This article aims to examine the role of Islamic education philosophy in the development of PAI curriculum to be more holistic, contextual, and transformative. This research uses a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to the thoughts of the figures and relevant literature. The results show that the philosophical foundations-ontological, epistemological, and axiological-contribute greatly to formulating the direction, content, methods, and evaluation of PAI curriculum. The ontological foundation emphasizes the development of human potential as a whole; the epistemological demands integration between revelation, reason, and experience; while the axiological prioritizes Islamic moral and ethical values in education. Thus, the philosophy of Islamic education becomes an important foundation in building PAI curriculum that is not only instructional, but also loaded with transcendental and humanistic values.
