Abstract

The Society 5.0 era demands significant changes in the education system, including in Christian Religious Education (PAK). The aim of this research is to explore the role of PAK in building a quality learning environment in the 5.0 era, where technology and spiritual values must go hand in hand. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and phenomenological analysis of the implementation of PAK in various educational institutions. The research results show that PAK has an important contribution in shaping students' character, improving digital ethics, and creating a holistic and inclusive learning environment. By integrating technology and Christian principles, education can be more adaptive to the challenges of the times without losing its spiritual essence. This study confirms that PAK plays a role as a foundation in building a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has high morality in the digital era.

Abstract

This research examines the comparative effectiveness of digital and traditional learning in developing countries with the aim of understanding the advantages and challenges of each method in this context. Digital learning offers flexibility and broad access to resources, allowing students to learn at their own pace and cultivate technological skills. However, constraints such as limited technological infrastructure and lack of training for teachers often act as barriers. Meanwhile, traditional learning remains the top choice as face-to-face interaction supports stronger emotional connections and allows for direct customisation to student needs, although it is limited in its appeal and static information. Therefore, many developing countries have started to adopt a hybrid approach that combines the advantages of both methods. The results show that improving the overall quality of education requires investment in digital infrastructure, training for educators, and collaborative support from the government, educational institutions and communities.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the application of project-based learning (PjBL) in improving secondary school students' critical thinking skills based on a literature review. Critical thinking is an essential skill in 21st century education that allows students to analyze, evaluate and solve problems systematically. However, conventional learning methods are often less effective in developing these skills. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach (library research), by examining various scientific sources such as academic journals, books, conference proceedings and research reports in the last 10 years. The results of the study show that PjBL has high effectiveness in improving students' critical thinking through a process of exploration, problem solving and collaborative work. The main factors that contribute to the success of PjBL include relevant project design, active student involvement, and support from teachers and learning facilities. However, the implementation of PjBL still faces challenges, such as limited time in the curriculum, lack of teacher training, and limited resources in some schools. As a recommendation, training is needed for teachers regarding the implementation of PjBL, flexibility in the curriculum to support project-based learning, and the use of technology as a learning tool. With the right strategy, PjBL can be an effective learning method in equipping students with the critical thinking skills needed in the academic and professional world.

Abstract

This study aims to review the literature that discusses the effect of character education on students' academic achievement in the school environment. The results of the review show that character education has a significant positive impact on improving academic achievement. A planned and consistent character education programme can help students develop ethical and moral values, such as discipline, responsibility and hard work, which contribute to better academic performance. In addition, the social and emotional skills acquired also support positive interpersonal relationships in the school environment. However, the effectiveness of character education programmes may vary depending on the implementation method, school context and student characteristics. Therefore, continuous evaluation and improvement are needed to ensure all students can gain maximum benefits. This research underlines the importance of character education in shaping students' academic excellence and virtuous character.

Abstract

Digitalisation in vocational education plays an important role in improving skills and work readiness in developing countries. Through the application of digital technology, access to more varied and quality learning resources becomes easier, and more interactive learning methods can be implemented. This approach not only strengthens learners' theoretical understanding but also provides practical experience needed in the industrialised world. The integration of technology tools and applications used in real industries into the vocational education curriculum ensures learners' readiness to face the evolving world of work. Technology-based training such as virtual simulations and e-learning platforms contribute significantly to learners' adaptability to technological changes and industry developments. In addition, digitalisation opens up wider collaboration opportunities between educational institutions, industry and government, creating a supportive ecosystem for innovation and knowledge transfer. Through technology-based internship programmes and partnerships with technology companies, learners can gain relevant work experience and direct feedback from the industry. Overall, digitalisation in vocational education strengthens the link between education and the world of work, preparing learners with the necessary skills and competencies to compete in the global job market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse digital literacy and efforts to build basic competencies among learners in developing countries. Digital literacy includes the technical ability to use digital devices and applications, as well as critical skills in evaluating information and understanding the ethical implications of technology. While access to information and communication technologies has increased, many learners in developing countries still lack adequate digital literacy skills. Factors such as limited infrastructure, inequality of educational resources and low levels of teacher training are significant barriers. Literature studies show that a holistic approach that incorporates technical, critical and ethical aspects is essential in developing digital literacy. Digital literacy should be integrated into the education curriculum systematically and supported by adequate training for educators. In addition, collaboration between the government, educational institutions, non-governmental organisations and the private sector is needed to create an ecosystem that supports the development of digital literacy. Thus, there is a need for coordinated policies and initiatives to improve digital literacy among learners in developing countries. Investments in technology infrastructure, training programmes and the provision of quality educational resources are key to preparing young people for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. With adequate digital literacy, learners in developing countries can more effectively contribute to the economic and social development of their communities.

Abstract

Multilingualism in education is increasingly becoming a global concern because of its role in improving students' cognitive, academic and social skills. This research is a systematic literature review which aims to analyze various teaching approaches and methods in a multilingual school environment. Various scientific sources, including journal articles, academic books, and research reports, were reviewed to identify the effectiveness and challenges of immersion, translanguaging, bilingual, and plurilingual approaches to learning. The analysis results show that the immersion approach is effective in improving target language skills, while translanguaging is more inclusive in supporting students' academic understanding. Bilingual and plurilingual approaches also offer flexibility in learning, especially in environments with high linguistic diversity. Additionally, technology plays an important role in supporting multilingual learning through interactive tools and digital platforms. However, challenges such as gaps in access to education, stigma against minority languages, and the readiness of teaching staff are still obstacles in implementing multilingualism in schools. This research contributes to providing insight into strategies that can be adopted to optimize multilingual learning, as well as highlighting the need for more inclusive and adaptive education policies. It is hoped that the implications of this study can help educators and policy makers in designing more effective and sustainable multilingual teaching programs.
