Abstract

This study aims to investigate character education management planning in the context of early childhood education. The main focus of this research is to design and implement an effective planning framework for character building at the early developmental stage of children. The methods used in this research included literature analysis, case studies, observations and interviews with educators. The results illustrate that character education management planning in early childhood education needs to consider children's developmental characteristics as well as the need for positive values formation. The planning model involves identifying relevant character values, developing interesting and developmentally appropriate lesson plans and implementing them through play and social interaction activities. The discussion highlights the importance of educators integrating character education in every aspect of early childhood learning. Planning that is tailored to children's characteristics helps shape positive attitudes, behaviors and interactions in the educational environment. The implications of this research support early character education efforts as an important foundation for children's personal development with integrity

Abstract

This literature study explores the potential of digital-based Islamic education in strengthening the moral character of Muslim youth. Reviewing existing literature on the topic, this study highlights the benefits and challenges of incorporating digital technologies in Islamic education. It presents strategies for effectively utilizing these tools to promote moral development. The literature review results suggest that digital-based Islamic education can provide a flexible and accessible platform for students to engage with Islamic teachings and develop their moral reasoning. Digital technologies such as online modules, interactive simulations, and social media platforms can deliver Islamic education to a broader audience, including those unable to attend traditional Islamic schools or mosques. However, the study also identified several challenges in implementing digital- based Islamic education, such as the need for proper regulation and oversight, concerns about the quality of online content, and the potential for technology to promote superficial engagement with Islamic teachings. To overcome these challenges, the study recommends that educators and developers of digital Islamic education programs prioritize integrating interactive and reflective learning activities, provide opportunities for direct experiences and community engagement, and emphasize developing critical thinking and moral reasoning skills. Additionally, regulatory bodies and Islamic institutions should establish guidelines and standards for digital-based Islamic education to ensure the quality and accuracy of online content. Overall, this literature study suggests that digital-based Islamic education can be an effective tool for strengthening the moral character of Muslim youth. However, it requires careful planning and thoughtful implementation to realize its potential fully.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of excessive gadget use among students in educational settings has become a prominent concern. This article presents a diagnostic review that explores the correlation between excessive gadget use and difficulties encountered by students in acquiring fundamental academic skills. The study compiles data from various research conducted in recent years, revealing that excessive gadget use can impair students' learning abilities in school. Firstly, extensive gadget usage tends to distract students, impeding their ability to concentrate on academic tasks such as class participation and homework completion. Furthermore, excessive gadget use can lead to eye fatigue and disrupt sleep quality, negatively affecting concentration and memory. Secondly, an over-reliance on gadgets reduces the time allocated for physical activities and social interactions, which play a vital role in children's development. Insufficient physical activity can adversely affect students' physical and cognitive health, while a lack of social interaction hinders their communication and collaborative skills with peers. The study emphasizes the urgent need for increased awareness and collective efforts from educators, parents, and the community to address excessive gadget use among students, fostering a healthy and conducive learning environment. Promoting responsible gadget usage is crucial for enhancing the overall quality of education in schools.
