Abstract

The taxonomy-based mechanistic approach in learning Islamic Religious Education and Character Education (PAI BP) risks reducing religiosity to mere ritual formalities, thereby hindering the growth of authentic, reflective, and transformative spiritual experiences. Therefore, it is necessary  to develop a taxonomy that establishes the dimension of attitudes in PAI BP learning with a formulation that is not complex but rather simple and applicable. This research used a systematic literature review, specifically the PAI BP textbook, the PAI BP Teacher and Student Books, published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, which were analyzed objectively and systematically, and conclusions were drawn. This study offers the Three Spiritual Taxonomies in PAI BP learning. This taxonomy divides spirituality into three dimensions: understanding with the operational verb "explain," appreciating with the operational verb "feel," and practicing with the operational verb "do."

Abstract

Guru  sebagai pendidik adalah seseorang yang memberikan kontribusi kepada masyarakat dan bangsa.  Budaya tinggi dan rendah, kemajuan atau kemunduran suatu masyarakat dan tingkat budaya negara sangat tergantung pada pendidikan dan pengajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Penelitian  ini mengkaji bagaimana cara memperbaiki kualitas mengajar guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI)  dengan menggunakan metode library  reasearch. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh hasil bahwa cara yang efektif dari pemerintah untuk memperbaiki kualitas mengajar guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI)  adalah dengan memberikan mereka apresiasi atau  penghargaan berupa  sertifikasi  guru. Sertifikasi ini merupakan bukti formal pengakuan formalitas guru yang diberikan kepada guru sebagai tenaga profesional. Untuk itu, gurupun diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi dan profesionalitasnya.kata kunci: kualitas, guru, PAITeacher as educator is someone who gives contribution  to the society in a country. The culture level and the progress of society lie on the education quality. It can not be separated from teachers’ role. The aim of this study was discussing and finding the way how to improve the Islamic Education  teachers’ quality. The method  used in this study was library research. Based on the data analysis, the result showed that the effective way from government to improve the Islamic Education teachers’ quality  is giving the appreciation.  That appreciation  is in the form of teachers’ certification. It can be the formal proof that the government acknowledge them as professional personnel. Hopefully, the teachers are able to improve their competence and professionality.Keywords: quality, teacher, Education, Islam, Studi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the challenges of pesantren during global currents; to find out the aspects that strengthen the continuity of the pesantren; and to find strategies for dealing with global challenges. The approach used in this research is qualitative with library research. The data were collected through references related to central themes. To analyze the data, several techniques were conducted such as data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that 1). The challenges of Islamic boarding schools during global currents can be in the form of thought, culture, science, and technology, as well as competition in various fields; 2). Aspects that strengthen the continuity of the pesantren to traditions and culture which are steadfastly and istiqamah fought for and preserved; 3). The pesantren's strategy in facing global challenges is to sort out every global progress by taking what is useful and removing what is harmful. Education in this Muslim-majority country has large and important role in the whole Indonesia human development. The existence of education is the pillar of science and knowledge building that is able to lead society towards development and progress. The development and progress are born and appear in the middle of people's life becomes a necessity. Occurrences that simply cannot be expected when people underestimate and ignore education. The presence of pesantren as a representation of Islamic educational institutions cannot be circumvented. Pesantren, in the Indonesian dictionary, is an indigenous Islamic institution. But over time, tough challenges began to appear.

Abstract

THE IDEOLOGY OF HUMANITY IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION.Undang Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional (UUSPN) Number 20 of 2003 explains that one of the main goals of education is that learners have spiritual and religious strength and noble character. It shows how important the position of Islamic education in the context of national education. In addition, the formulation of education contains clearly about humanity aspects that are implemented into the reality of social life so that the system of social life order created a sense of mutual respect, peace, harmony without any conflict among others. Therefore, the ideology of humanity is absolutely necessary to be implemented by the teachers (Guru PAI). This study will discuss at least three things: the understanding of Islamic Education, the understanding of humanity ideology and how to implement the ideology of humanity in Islamic education. In its implementation, the ideology of humanity can be done normatively and technically. Normatively can be done by having a proper point of view to the students in all aspects of education, technically can be done by applying some learning approaches such as active learning, cooperative learning, and fun learning.

Abstract

This research is directed at discussing the emerging religious education ecosystem in Madurese society. Throughout its journey, Islamic boarding schools have become an integral part of Madurese society, encompassing social, cultural, religious, political, and economic aspects. To assemble all the codified data necessary to communicate the primary objective of this research, interviews, observations, and documentation were utilized as data collection sources. Subsequently, the study analysis was formulated descriptively, employing a cultural anthropological approach. Through comprehensive analysis in research, it was revealed that the religious moderation education system in Madurese society occurs on the basis of cultural openness. The openness in Islamic boarding school life is fostered by the social, cultural, and political aspects that evolve and establish a tradition. The togetherness of life in Islamic boarding schools serves as the main benchmark for embracing the presence of others as fellow brothers, comprising social, cultural, and political dimensions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know deeply about social network of kinship tradition or Trah in Madurese tradition which is defined as "toronan / na’ poto" in which written sequence lineage from a family on kiyai kinship tradition in Madura. Islamic boarding school in Madura average there is still linkage of genealogy or Trah from other islamic boarding school families.The kiyai kinship tradition in some Islamic boarding schools in Madura is closely related to the past of their founders or ancestors who were called "old kiyai" founders of the first Islamic boarding school. The elderly chaplain or founder of islamic boarding school who deliberately matches his grandchildren to another islamic boarding school who is still one family / one of the closest family kiyai is as elderly as the child of his sister, the son of his uncle etc. thus giving birth to new Trah that grow and develop to this day. The method used in this research is Field Research, ie field research conducted in order to collect primary data in the field by using observation, interview and documentation. Abstract

This study develops and tests the BALIGH (Basic, Awareness, Loyalty, Insight, Growth, Help) instructional model in Islamic Religious Education to prepare students for aqil baligh amid the challenges of pseudo-maturity. Using an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, qualitative interviews, document analysis, and classroom observations, this study informed the six-stage syntax; a one-group pretest-posttest trial (N = 60) then examined its effectiveness with a six-dimension aqil baligh readiness scale. Paired t-tests, effect sizes, reliability analysis, and N-gain showed substantial improvement from 33.82 to 61.85 (Δ = 28.03; p < .001; N-gain = 0.695), with no low-gain students. The findings demonstrated that BALIGH effectively integrates conceptual-fiqh strengthening, character formation, help-seeking, and school-family support. The model has contributed a theory-grounded, practically applicable toolkit for puberty-focused IRE, and offers a validated structure for monitoring students’ aqil baligh readiness.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berupaya menelaah tentang kurikulum tersembunyi dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), kurikulum tersembunyi memiliki peran yang cukup signifikan dalam membentuk sikap dan karakter para siswa. Melalui  penggunaan kurikulum tersembunyi,  para guru dan sekolah-sekolah dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran PAI secara optimal. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa kurikulum tersembunyi merupakan kurikulum yang tidak tampak, bisa terjadi secara spontanitas, tanpa terencana dan bisa muncul dari pengalaman belajar  dalam sekolah.  Di samping itu, meskipun kurikulum tersembunyi tidak mempunyai sistematika  yang formal dan terukur,  namun sangat berperan dalam mewujudkan sebuah tujuan pembelajaran,  khususnya pembelajaran  PAI. Pembelajaran  PAI akan dapat dicapai dengan maksimal dengan dukungan kurikulum tersembunyi melalui aktifitas siswa, baik dalam pembelajaran  maupun di luar pembelajaran.Kata kunci: kurikulum, tersembunyi, pembelajaran, PAITHE HIDDEN CURRICULUM IN LEARNING  PAI. This paper describes the concept of hidden curriculum in a learning process. On learning  of Islamic  Education  (PAI), the  hidden curriculum  has a significant role in shaping the attitudes and character of students. Throught the use of hidden curriculum, teachers and schools will be able to achieve the learning objective of PAI optimal. Based on the research that was conducted, it can be known that hidden curriculum can  happen spontaneously,  and can  appear  from the  learning experience at school. Besides, although  the hidden  curriculum does not have a formal and measured system, it has a significant role in creating  a learning  goal,  especially  in Islamic  education  learning. Islamic education learning can be achieved maximally by the support of hidden curriculum through students’ activities both in and out of learning process.Keywords:  hidden curriculum, learning , Islamic Education

Abstract

The ideology of Brunei Darussalam contributes in shaping the [Islamic] Education system. Politically, Brunei applies the concept of Malay, Islam, Beraja (MIB) as an ideological basis. This research is oriented to two main discussions. First is the historical trajectory of MIB in Brunei and its relation to the education system. The second is the dimension of educational philosophy and Islamic education philosophy in Brunei by drawing its relation to the MIB. This research uses a qualitative-naturalistic approach. This research was conducted in Brunei, October 2019. Data was collected through interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observation, document and literature studies. In data collection, this research involved academics from Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU) and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). The findings show that the MIB is related to the model perennialism and progressivism. However, from Islamic education philosophy, MIB gives a traditionalist style to the mazhabi and modernist education system.
