Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Digital Madrasah Report (RDM) and the academic supervision of the madrasah head on the quality of student score reports at SMP-IT As’adiyah Dapoko, Bantaeng Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative type of study. Data collection was conducted through closed questionnaires distributed to teachers and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that both the use of RDM and the academic supervision of the madrasah head have a positive and significant effect on the quality of student score reports. The use of RDM has proven to improve the efficiency and accuracy of score reporting, while academic supervision by the madrasah head shows a stronger influence in promoting teacher discipline and professionalism. The conclusion of this study affirms that improving the quality of student score reports cannot be achieved solely through digital systems but also requires active academic leadership. The implication of this research highlights the importance of synergy between administrative digitalization and academic guidance in improving the quality of madrasah education.

Abstract

Educational financial management is a strategic process in organizing, administering, and supervising all financial activities of educational institutions sourced from the government, the community, and other legitimate sources. This article aims to examine the principles, regulations, and implementation of Islamic educational financial management with an emphasis on transparency, accountability, effectiveness, efficiency, and balance. The research uses a desk study method through analysis of literature, journals, and relevant laws and regulations. The results of the study indicate that Islamic educational financial management is not only administrative but also has social, humanitarian, and spiritual dimensions. Regulations such as the National Education System Law, the Government Regulation on Religious Education, and the Islamic Boarding School Law serve as the legal basis for Islamic education funding. Funding sources come from the National Budget (APBN), Regional Budget (APBD), the community, zakat, waqf, and grants, which must be managed in accordance with sharia principles. The Qur'an emphasizes justice and prohibits usury, gharar, and maisir. The application of these principles can improve service quality, expand access to education, and build a generation with morals and competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the policy of flagship schools as a strategy to improve educational quality by examining its conceptual foundations, key components of implementation, and the impacts and challenges it poses for educational equity. Using a library research method, this study reviews various literature, regulations, and empirical findings related to the concept of flagship schools, school-based management, teacher professionalism, curriculum innovation, and the provision of adequate facilities. The findings indicate that flagship schools are supported by strong policy frameworks designed to enhance the quality of learning by ensuring a conducive learning environment, competent educators, and enriched curricula. The implementation of this policy has contributed to improved student achievement and strengthened quality culture within schools. However, the study also identifies several consequences, including potential disparities in access, discriminatory student selection, and unequal distribution of resources across schools. Additional challenges include limited funding, shortages of qualified human resources, resistance to change, administrative bureaucracy, and mismatches between national policies and local contexts. These findings highlight the need for flagship school policies to be designed in a more inclusive, adaptive, and equitable manner so that they not only produce high academic achievement but also support the broader goal of equitable educational quality nationwide.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic environment of Islamic educational institutions by examining internal and external factors that influence the direction of institutional development. This research employs a literature review method by gathering relevant sources such as journals, scholarly articles, books, and other academic documents. The data were analyzed descriptively through processes of reduction, categorization, and interpretation of information related to strategic environmental management. The findings reveal that strategic environmental analysis plays an essential role in helping Islamic educational institutions identify internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as recognize external opportunities and threats. Furthermore, the study indicates that factors such as human resources, learning technology, educational policies, and socio-cultural developments significantly affect the sustainability and competitiveness of these institutions. The study concludes that strategic environmental analysis serves as a fundamental basis for planning and decision-making within Islamic educational institutions. Its implications suggest that institutions need to conduct periodic environmental evaluations and develop adaptive strategies to effectively respond to increasingly complex environmental changes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in shaping the character of students in the Islamic Education Management (MPI) Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to explore students’ subjective experiences in using social media. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with four students as primary data, supported by literature studies including books and scholarly journal articles as secondary data. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis through data presentation and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that social media plays a significant role in shaping students’ self-perceptions, particularly related to academic achievement, lifestyle, physical appearance, and religious activities displayed online. Social media use also generates anxiety, self-doubt, idealized self-presentation, and motivation for self-improvement. This study concludes that social media significantly influences the identity formation of MPI students in both online and offline interactions, highlighting the importance of digital literacy guidance in supporting healthy character development among university students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of internalizing students' manners during the learning process in the MTs GUUPPI environment. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with teachers as well as documentation studies against various relevant written sources, such as books and scientific articles. Data is analyzed qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the internalization of students' manners is influenced by class level and maturity level. Students in grades VIII and IX showed better manners and learning discipline than students in grade VII who were still in the adaptation stage and had difficulty maintaining concentration in learning. This study concludes that the role and consistency of educators play an important role in shaping students' polite behavior. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening the role of teachers in fostering adab in a sustainable manner in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of moral development of students based on Islamic values at Madrasah Aliyah Sheikh Yusuf. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to photograph the phenomenon of character development naturally. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Akidah Akhlak teachers and homeroom teachers as primary sources, as well as literature studies as secondary sources. Data analysis is carried out interactively through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the strategy of moral development is applied through four pillars: teacher example (uswah hasanah), habituation of Islamic values in madrasah culture, continuous supervision to bridge cognition and moral action, and personal approach of homeroom teachers to touch the emotional aspects of students. The findings also reveal that the internalization of values is still hampered by the influence of social media and diverse family backgrounds. This study concludes that the success of moral development requires synergy across madrasah elements and consistency of supervision. The implications of the research emphasize the importance of adaptive strategies to technological developments to strengthen the moral resilience of students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the various roles of teachers, such as strategy designers, classroom managers, and motivators, in efforts to improve learning at SMPN 17 Makassar. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with one teacher at SMPN 17 Makassar who was selected purposively. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed descriptively to examine learning planning and implementation, teaching strategies, and obstacles and supporting factors faced by teachers. The results show that teachers carry out learning planning systematically, beginning with reviewing the curriculum and Learning Objectives Flow (ATP). In implementation, teachers apply various learning models such as Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Discovery Learning, and differentiated learning, utilizing digital technology and conducting regular formative assessments to monitor student understanding. The main obstacles faced are the diversity of abilities and low learning motivation of some students, but this is supported by the role of the principal, colleagues, and the availability of infrastructure. The implication of this study is that the findings of teacher best practices at SMPN 17 Makassar can serve as an important guide for formulating school policies and teacher training programs in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of learning facilities and infrastructure in supporting the learning process of students in the Islamic Education Management (MPI) Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The informants consisted of 16 MPI students, mostly from the 2024 cohort, selected purposively based on the intensity of their use of learning facilities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis related to facilities and infrastructure management. The findings indicate that administratively, learning facilities and infrastructure have been managed through clear procedures; however, their utilization has not been fully optimized. The main constraints include inadequate whiteboards, poorly maintained air conditioning systems, technical issues with LCD projectors, and unstable Wi-Fi connectivity. Optimization efforts involve adaptive use of available facilities, strengthening regular maintenance, and active involvement of lecturers and students in maintaining and utilizing learning facilities. This study emphasizes that the optimization of facilities and infrastructure depends not only on availability but also on functionality and consistent management to enhance the quality of the learning process.

Abstract

Teacher Professional Education (PPG) is a strategic government program to improve teacher professionalism, particularly pedagogical competence. Under the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Transformation Plus policy, PPG implementation was accelerated by compressing the duration to 45 days and implementing Learning Management System (LMS)-based learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of LMS-based PPG learning in improving pedagogical competence and the implications of accelerating teacher certification on learning quality. This descriptive qualitative study was conducted at the LPTK UIN Alauddin Makassar through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results indicate that LMS-based learning effectively improves PPG students' pedagogical competence, particularly in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. This effectiveness is supported by structured learning design and academic mentoring, although challenges remain in the form of a high learning load in a short duration. Therefore, strengthening learning design and improving participants' digital literacy are necessary to maintain the quality of LMS-based PPG.
