Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of discipline, competence, and work environment on employee performance in the BPKPAD Cilegon City work unit. The research applied a quantitative approach with an explanatory design to examine the causal relationships among variables. The population consisted of 84 employees, all of whom were selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine both partial and simultaneous effects. The results show that discipline, competence, and work environment have a significant and positive impact on employee performance, both individually and collectively. Among the three variables, competence was identified as the most dominant factor influencing performance. The regression model explains 64.2% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other variables not included in this study. These findings highlight the importance of integrated human resource management strategies to improve institutional performance.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Sehat Indonesiaku Application (ASIK) in immunization services at Puskesmas Nagi, Larantuka District. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Informants included the head of the health center, health workers, application administrators, and community members. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, while program evaluation referred to William Dunn’s six indicators: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The findings indicate that ASIK has supported digital recording and reporting of immunization services since 2023. However, its implementation has not been optimal due to several constraints, including limited digital skills of health workers, unstable internet connectivity, limited application features, slow system access during peak service hours, and administrative issues related to the National Identification Number (NIK). These challenges result in double recording and non-real-time data entry, contributing to the low basic immunization coverage rate of 57.8%, which remains below the national target of 95%. Overall, ASIK has provided benefits in supporting the digitalization of immunization services, yet improvements in infrastructure, human resources, and system integration are necessary to achieve optimal immunization coverage targets.

Abstract

Public general hospitals in Indonesia face significant challenges in improving healthcare service performance, such as low patient satisfaction and limited operational efficiency due to resource constraints. This study aims to analyze the application of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) model in enhancing RSUD performance through a quantitative case study in a West Java RSUD. The SPC model, which links employee satisfaction to patient satisfaction and financial outcomes, was tested via surveys of 217 employees and 169 patients, along with secondary data analysis from hospital reports over 2022-2024. Analytical methods included descriptive tests, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression to measure relationships between SPC components (employee satisfaction, internal service quality, patient satisfaction) and performance indicators (profitability, operational efficiency, patient retention). Results show that SPC implementation increased patient satisfaction by 25% (from an average Likert score of 3.2 to 4.0) and operational efficiency by 15%, with a significant positive correlation coefficient (r = 0.68, p < 0.05). Regression analysis indicates that employee satisfaction contributes 40% to the variation in hospital performance (R² = 0.62). The study concludes that the SPC model is effective in RSUD, with recommendations for management to enhance employee training investments and regular satisfaction measurements. This research contributes to healthcare management model development in developing countries, filling the research gap on SPC application in Indonesian public hospitals

Abstract

The increasingly complex competition in the healthcare industry requires hospitals to have a clear strategic orientation and sustainable competitive advantage. Regulatory changes, developments in medical technology, and service quality demands are major challenges in healthcare organisation management. This study aims to analyse scientific findings related to strategic orientation and types of competitive advantage in hospitals through a literature review approach. The research method used a Systematic Literature Review of national and international articles published between 2022 and 2024. The search was conducted through reputable scientific databases using the keywords ‘strategic orientation’, ‘competitive advantage’, and ‘hospital management’. Selected articles were analysed qualitatively through a process of classification and synthesis. The results of the study show that innovation orientation, market orientation, and learning orientation are the dominant patterns in hospital management. Differentiation strategy is the most widely applied type of competitive advantage through service quality improvement, development of superior services, and utilisation of health technology. In addition, there is a positive relationship between strategic orientation and organisational performance. This study confirms that the alignment of strategic orientation and competitive strategy plays an important role in improving the competitiveness and sustainability of hospitals.

Abstract

The practice of over-dimensional freight transportation vehicles in Indonesia is often understood solely as a matter of compliance with regulations. However, explanations that focus on law enforcement have not been able to fully explain the economic incentives that drive corporate behavior. This research uses a conceptual approach based on theoretical synthesis to develop a layered analysis framework based on microeconomic cost theory, economies of scale, and regulatory risk analysis. The framework explains how load volume pressures, infrastructure conditions, and operational efficiency mechanisms interact with each other in generating additional profits. These benefits are then evaluated against the expected costs of regulation in the company's decision-making process. The main contribution of this research lies in the integration of cost behavior at the enterprise level and regulatory risk into one integrated mechanism. Thus, the practice of over-dimensional vehicles can be understood as the result of an economic incentive structure, not a mere form of non-compliance. These findings are expected to provide a new perspective for the formulation of transportation policies and supervisory strategies, so as to be able to balance the importance of operational efficiency with the safety and sustainability of the national transportation system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of ESG Risk Rating and profitability on Firm Value with Sharia Compliance as a moderation variable in Food and Beverage (F&B) companies listed in the Indonesian Sharia stock index (ISSI) for the period 2021-2024. The phenomenon behind this study is the increasing interest of investors in sustainability factors that include environmental, social, and governance in measuring company performance. However, the implementation of ESG in Indonesia has not been spread evenly. This is particularly evident in the Sharia food and beverage sector, which has low levels of ESG reporting as well as differences between Sharia labels and sustainability practices. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the technique of Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Secondary Data were obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and ESG Risk Rating data published by Sustainalytics. The research sample consisted of 12 F&B companies registered with ISSI during the period 2021-2024, which were selected using the purposive sampling method. The results showed that ESG Risk Rating has a significant negative impact on Firm Value. On the other hand, profitability turns out to have a significant positive impact on Firm Value. In addition, Sharia compliance is proven to improve the relationship between ESG Risk Rating and profitability to Firm Value. This shows that companies with high levels of Sharia compliance tend to have better market value as well as gain more trust from investors. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration between sustainability performance, profitability, and compliance with Sharia principles is an important factor in increasing the value and legitimacy of Sharia companies. Thus, the implementation of ESG principles that are aligned with Islamic values can be an effective strategy in building investor confidence and strengthening the company's competitiveness in the Indonesian Sharia capital market.

Abstract

This article discusses the urgency of Islamic banking in instilling Islamic values in Gresik Regency. Although the Gresik community is known for its religious nature, there is a significant gap between religious identity and financial practices, which often involve elements of usury (riba). This study aims to explore the role of Islamic banks as agents of change through education on economic ethics, empowerment of MSMEs, and cultural harmonization. The results indicate that low financial literacy and the dominance of conventional banks pose challenges to the internalization of Islamic values. Effective strategies, including cultural approaches and collaboration with religious leaders, are needed. To overcome these obstacles, Islamic banks are expected to become catalysts in creating a financially and spiritually strong economic order.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of liquidity and solvency on profitability at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, a banking institution listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the research period. Liquidity is measured using the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), solvency is represented by the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and profitability is evaluated through Return on Assets (ROA). The research applies a quantitative approach and uses regression analysis to analyze the relationships among these financial variables. The findings show that liquidity, as proxied by LDR, does not have a significant effect on profitability, indicating that a higher level of liquidity does not automatically improve the bank’s ability to generate profits. Meanwhile, solvency measured by CAR has a positive and significant impact on profitability, suggesting that stronger capital adequacy enables banks to manage risks more effectively and support operational performance. These results emphasize that adequate capital strength plays a crucial role in enhancing banking profitability and maintaining financial stability in the banking sector.

Abstract

The development of information technology and increasing business competition encourage business actors to develop more innovative and adaptive marketing strategies. Bandung City is known as one of the centers of the creative industry in Indonesia, home to many micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with various superior products, especially in the culinary, fashion, and craft sectors. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by MSMEs in Bandung City and identify factors that influence the effectiveness of these marketing strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation studies to obtain an overview of the marketing practices carried out by MSME actors. The results show that MSME marketing strategies in Bandung City are increasingly developing through the use of digital marketing, particularly through social media and marketplace platforms that can expand market reach and increase interaction with consumers. In addition, product creativity and differentiation strategies are the main strengths of MSMEs in increasing competitiveness in the market. However, several obstacles remain, such as limited digital literacy, limited human resources, and a lack of structured marketing strategy planning. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase the capacity of MSMEs in utilizing digital technology and strengthening more innovative marketing strategies in order to be able to increase business competitiveness in the digital economy era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of influencer marketing and quality perception on skincare product purchase decisions among students of STIE Widya Praja Tanah Grogot. A quantitative approach with survey method was employed with 75 students selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire (1-5) comprising three variables: influencer marketing (X1), quality perception (X2), and purchase decision (Y), each measured by eight statement items. Multiple linear regression was used for data analysis. The results indicate that influencer marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions (beta = 0.412; p < 0.05), quality perception has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions (beta = 0.387; p < 0.05), and simultaneously both variables contribute 60.2% to the variation in purchase decisions (Adjusted R2 = 0.602). These findings suggest that influencer-based marketing strategies and well-perceived product quality need to be prioritized by skincare businesses targeting the student segment.
