Abstract

A child in conflict with the law is defined as a child who is undergoing a punishment process and is 12-18 years old and is not married. Based on data from the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjen PAS) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in 2019, it was recorded that 56 cases of children had received court decisions. The purpose of this study was to determine the patterns of child growth and development and the factors that influence the development of children in the Penitentiary of West Kalimantan Province. This research is a qualitative research with research subjects are childrens at the Institute for Special Development for Children (LPKA). This research was conducted with structured interviews and observations of child prisoners in LPKA. Data analysis was carried out in the following stages, namely data reduction, data triangulation and data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. The results found that the development of child prisoners in LPKA was not yet effective. The factors that influence child development are facilities, infrastructure and psychological aspects of the child.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan pengujian efektivitas terhadap model Outreach counseling dalam meningkatkan kemandirian anak tunagrahita. Melalui Single Subjeck Research Disign (SSRDs) dengan menggunakan A-B-A Desain. Temuan menunjukkan; 1) kondisi aktual kemandirian anak tunagrahita belum sepenuhnya mandiri, 2) uji efektivitas bahwa, model outreach counseling dapat; menurunkan persentase tidak mandiri, meningkatkan kemandirian dengan bantuan, dan meningkatkan kemandirian bagi anak tunagrahita sedang. Model outreach counseling ini direkomendasikan agar dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah sebagai koordinator bimbingan, guru-guru, orang tua, anggota keluarga, dan melibatkan lingkungan terdekat dengan anak tunagrahita sedang.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to analyze whether in the current era social anxiety problems are still developing among college students and whether there are any differences in the level of social anxiety was based on the year of entry (new college students - old college students) and gender. This research is a quantitative-descriptive and comparative studies. Hypotheses are there is no difference in social anxiety level based on the year of entry nor gender. The subjects are undergraduate college students totaled 364 people. Instrument used for data collection is Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale-Self Report (LSAs-SR). Results showed that 76.9% of the subjects experienced social anxiety. There is no difference in the level of social anxiety among new college students and old college college students nor between male college students and college students.

Abstract

Joining university for the first time is a challenging phase for first-year students. They are required to adapt not only to the academic context but to their personal, social, and emotional condition. The dynamics of college present a variety of challenges that arise as a result of the transition from high school to college. This study aims to analyze college adjustment of first-year students and the obstacles that arise from the academic, social, personal, and institutional dimensions. This study used mixed-method research. The sample was consisted of 235 first-year students of Al Azhar University (73.9% women) and filled out the Student Adaptation to College questionnaire. Qualitative data used purposive sampling to deepen the constraints felt by students in their first year. Semi structure interviews were conducted with 12 respondents to examine their experiences toward the first year of college. The results showed that 44.7% of first-year students had a low college adjustment level. Content analysis reveals that first-year students experienced varied academic, social, personal, and institutional problems. Therefore, the first-year student adapting process still needs attention from stakeholders.

Abstract

According to the Directorate General of Corrections, more than 7,000 children perpetrate criminal offenses on a yearly basis. To reduce this crime rate, it is of great necessity to reinforce Religion, values, and morals (RNM) through appropriate counseling services to inmates child at the Rejang Lebong Class II A Curup Correctional Institution. The solution to the problem in this study is first, improving the condition of religion, the values, and morals of the child. Second, the type of counseling assignment in terms of Religion, Values, and Morals of the children faced with the law. Third, the condition of religion, the values and morals of the children who became upright after counseling services is given. This research is based on the grounded theory which has to do with building a theory through inductive studies. His observations are illustrated by the results of the 87% of inmates child themed test problem in ANM. He was given personal guidance for the development of religious life in the areas of information services, content mastery services, group guidance services, and individual counseling. At the test post, there was a decrease of 43% in the inmates child ANM problems.

Abstract

The character cannot be directly obtained, it is instantaneous but requires time with the custom of academic habits to become a necessity and ultimately to get entrepreneurial skills, the purpose of identifying students' entrepreneurial skills in supporting the nation's character. Mix method with Convergence Model and t-test analysis shows that there are differences in indicators of student entrepreneurial skills with character education treatment and those that are not. There is the lowest indicator on creative thinking and responding to global problems by 60% enough categories. so it needs to be improved in further research with edupreneurship designs that are characterized in preparation, teaching materials, resources and learning media that are adapted to technological developments.

Abstract

Interest has a very important role in learning. This interest leads to motivation in learning and it can improve learning outcomes. This study focused on understanding and exploring the strategies used by teachers of SDIT Rabbi Radhiyya Curup to increase student's interest in learning and to express students' responses in Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach in which the principal, the vice-principal of curriculum, the teachers, and students were the informants of this research. The data were collected by conducting semi-structured interviews which were analyzed by using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the strategies used by the teacher to increase students' interest in learning were to provide students with an understanding of the importance of learning, to make learning material brief, clear, and interesting, to use simple and interesting media, and to conduct regular and continuous evaluations. Online learning, students get something fun, but they lack togetherness with their friends.

Abstract

This study aims to describe an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Youth Information and Counseling Center program (PIK-Remaja). This study uses a literature review method, in the form of scientific reports published in reputable national and international journals. The strength of the PIK-Remaja program is that it is a program designed with peer counseling as and integrated with social and religious institutions. The weakness of this program is the ineffective and inefficient socialization, as well as the commitment of all stakeholders in supporting the program. Opportunities for this program are policies that support coordination between central and regional governments for guidance and funding. The challenge for the PIK-Remaja program is the demographic conditions of the population and adolescents who are surrounded by globalization and technological developments.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine whether the guidance for implementing group guidance with the Socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of high school students meets the requirements from the material and media aspects. This research is a research and development (RnD) type which refers to the Borg development model. The data was collected using a material and media feasibility assessment sheet in the form of a scale. Assessment of the feasibility of the guide involves 2 expert lecturers. Scale data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the guidebook for implementing group guidance with the Socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of high school students is declared very feasible both in the material and media aspects. Through these results it can be concluded that the guidebook for implementing group guidance with the Socratic method to increase anti-bullying awareness of high school students is ready to be tested on school counselor as users so that later development products are suitable for use as an alternative media for prevention bullying.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the self-confidence of students in special classes and regular classes and to know class differences. This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The research sample consisted of 80 students with 35 regular class students and 45 special class students who were determined using the Proportional Random Sampling Technique. The instrument was adapted from the confidence of the instrument and data analysis used comparational analysis using the Difference Test with the SPSS program. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in the confidence of students in special classes and regular classes. A total of 30 students in a special class have high self-confidence and 5 students have a sufficient level of self-confidence, while students in regular class, as many as 20 students have sufficient self-confidence and 25 students have less self-confidence. And shows that the difference between special classes and regular classes greatly affects the level of student confidence.
