Abstract

The absence of organization in an educational institution, whether formal or non-formal, can result in deficiencies in planning capacity. Therefore, organization is an important thing that needs to be implemented before implementing a program. This research aims to determine the management of organizing the Arabic language program at Ma'had Al-jami'ah Pare-pare. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through interviews with one of the tutors and the head of the program, as well as documentation in the form of administrative data such as organizational structure charts, books, and transcripts of interview results. The data analysis used Miles and Huberman techniques in data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The research results show that the management of the Arabic language program at Ma'had Al-jami'ah Pare-pare consists of three parts, namely; First, the organizational structure of the program involving Ma'had leaders and tutors. second, the division of work tasks is carried out by all sections that play a role in the organizational structure of the Arabic language program. And third, determining and classifying programs which are divided into two, namely the division of vocabulary and takkalam.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many terms used in the world of teaching. These terms are strategy, method, program, method, curriculum, etc. From these terms, many teachers use various kinds of them to realize learning objectives. However, in reality, some people do not know the differences and similarities between these terms. So this research aims to determine the meaning of strategies, programs, methods, models and styles in teaching and trends in teaching Arabic grammar from the perspective of Saad Ali Zayer and Samaa Turkey. This type of research is a library research. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is a documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. This research reveals that the strategy is more general than the programme, method, style and model. The programme is more general than the method, style and model. The method is more general than style and equivalent to models. Style is part of the method, and model is equivalent to methods, only it is based on theory and so on. Teaching trends that are suitable to be implemented in teaching Arabic grammar according to Saad Ali Zayer and Samaa Turki are Cooperative Learning, Mastery Learning, Problem-solving Method, Exploration Method, Inquiry Learning, Hill Climbing Method, Thelen's Model, Carin's Model, and Hilda Taba's Model. The researcher hopes that this research can be used as a reference for all teachers to be implemented for teaching Arabic grammar

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Hybrid Evaluation Model for Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools by integrating Wordwall gamification with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The innovation responds to the growing need for an evaluation system that not only measures learning outcomes but also promotes reflective, collaborative, and engaging learning experiences among students. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE framework—comprising Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—the study involved expert validation, classroom observation, and field trials. The results of expert validation indicated a high level of feasibility, with media and content scores of 86.9% and 77%, respectively, confirming the model’s pedagogical and contextual suitability for Arabic learning in pesantren. Implementation with 24 students at Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School demonstrated a significant improvement in performance, with average scores increasing from 8.0 to 9.3. Both teachers and students expressed strong positive perceptions of the model’s usability, interactivity, and visual design. Interestingly, the integration of gamified digital media did not diminish the pesantren’s spiritual values but instead enriched its reflective and collaborative pedagogical culture. The findings align with social constructivist theory, highlighting that meaningful learning occurs through active interaction, feedback, and reflection. In conclusion, the Wordwall–PBL model offers a promising framework for digital formative assessment in Islamic education. Future studies are encouraged to test this model in broader educational contexts—such as madrasah and Islamic higher education—and to explore integration with artificial intelligence for more adaptive and personalized evaluation systems.

Abstract

Arabic language skills are an important competency in Islamic education, particularly in Thailand's minority Muslim community. However, learning at Suksa Muslim School still faces obstacles such as less interactive methods, limited media, and a minimal supportive language environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design through classroom observations, interviews with Arabic language teachers, and analysis of national and local curriculum documents. Validity is strengthened through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that although speaking skills have been listed in the curriculum as a core competency, its implementation is still predominantly text- and grammar-based, while the Arabic language environment outside the classroom is inconsistent, resulting in low student motivation and engagement. The use of digital media such as Google Classroom, Kahoot, and Wordwall has been proven to increase student participation and understanding, despite constraints on access and technological skills. This study concludes that strengthening teacher capacity, integrating digital media, and implementing communicative strategies are essential for reformulating Arabic language learning to be more adaptive, interactive, and appropriate to the needs of non-native students, with important implications for creating a conducive language environment as a key factor in improving motivation and communication skills

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of academic burnout, its contributing factors, and the perceived coping strategies among students of the Arabic Language Education Program at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The research employed a descriptive quantitative survey approach involving 42 respondents from PBA A, PBA B, PBA C, and PBA D classes. The instrument consisted of 25 Likert-scale items (1–5) covering five dimensions: academic exhaustion, boredom toward lectures, low academic self-efficacy, factors contributing to burnout, and coping strategies. The results revealed that the combined mean score of the three burnout dimensions was 3.14. Academic exhaustion obtained the highest mean score (3.54), followed by low academic self-efficacy (3.00) and boredom toward lectures (2.87). Regarding the contributing factors, the item related to less varied teaching methods received the highest score (3.49). In the coping strategies dimension, improving academic counseling services achieved the highest mean score (3.95). These findings indicate that efforts to address academic burnout among Arabic Language Education students should focus on enhancing instructional variety, strengthening academic guidance from lecturers, improving academic counseling services, fostering peer support, and promoting stress management based on spiritual values.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of formative assessment in Arabic language learning and the role of Student Worksheets (LKS) as an evaluation tool that supports active learning at MTs Miftahussa'adah, Semarang City. The approach used is an explanatory qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation with data analysis of the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that formative assessment was implemented through collaborative activities, language skills practice (maharah), and immediate feedback. The worksheet is used as the main means of assessment. However, problems were still found in the aspects of language comprehensibility and appearance. Although 100% of students stated that the worksheet helped them understand the material, only 20% found it easy to understand. In the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, formative assessment through worksheets can encourage student involvement and reflection, but its effectiveness needs to be supported by the principles of differentiated learning and multimodal enrichment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the rhetorical structure of the method section in Arabic scientific articles written by Arabic and Indonesian speakers in the field of linguistics and education. Using the framework of Zhang and Wannaruk (2016), this study analyzed 80 articles to identify Move and Step patterns, as well as patterns of using tenses and diathesis (voice). The results showed that Move 2 (Explaining Data Collection Procedures) was the most dominant (56.9%), indicating that researchers focused more on data collection than on design aspects (Move 1: 19.5%) and data analysis (Move 3: 23.5%). Indonesian speakers put more emphasis on the procedural aspects of Move 2 (62.7%) than Arabic speakers (51.7%), while Arabic speakers were more balanced in compiling the three Moves. In addition, differences were found in the use of tenses and diathesis (voice). Madhi (past tense) is more dominant than mudhari' (present tense), especially in Move 1 and Move 2, as this section describes the research procedures that have been carried out. Active voice is more widely used in Moves 1 and 2, while passive voice is more dominant in Move 3 (Data Analysis) to emphasize the results of the analysis rather than the role of the researcher in the process.

The method used in the research is qualitative using descriptive analysis studies. In addition, data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and inference-making. Respondents in this research were teachers and students of Arabic Language Education in semester III. The research results show that teachers have utilized the use of Arabic, English and Indonesian in learning Qira'ah Syamilah. It can be concluded that the use of three languages in Qira'ah Syamilah for third semester students has proven effective. Arabic acts as the core material, Indonesian as a bridge for understanding, and English as global access to information. Through an intensive and extensive reading approach, learning becomes more active because students are free to choose material and compile concept maps. This method has succeeded in increasing students' self-confidence and world insight. Even though they are hampered by vocabulary and sentence structure, students use the help of digital technology and AI to strengthen understanding. Overall, this model changes students' reading habits from literal translation to critical and collaborative analysis.

Abstract

The study reveals the local customs and traditions of the Nubi tribe in Egypt that still survive and exist amidst the onslaught of modernization and globalization. The study raises two important questions about What are the functions of the local customs and traditions of the Nubi tribe that have been preserved until now and what is the form of the relationship between the local traditions of the Nubi tribe between one element and another. The study uses Borislaw Malinowski's functionalism theory which raises the main concept that every element of culture has a function. The surviving culture fulfills human physiological and psychological needs. Another concept in Malinowski's functionalism is about holistic culture which means that every element of a culture has an influence on other elements of a culture. The findings of the study prove that the Nubi customs and traditions that still survive are traditions during pregnancy, traditional healing traditions, the prohibition of riding donkeys for women, traditions in marriage, traditions of requesting pregnancy, traditions around death and traditions of keeping crocodiles. The existence of a holistic culture or relationship is the use of a special Nubi language in rituals, oral traditions and communication between the older and younger generations. The use of the Nubi language has succeeded in protecting the Nubi tribe from the invasion of foreign cultures.
