Abstract

The mathematical communication of junior high school students is contained in written answers to mathematics, especially in finding patterns of problem-solving, presentation, and rewriting using the language, which is the purpose of this research. Expressing a mathematical situation into a mathematical model in writing can be done by reading and understanding the problem repeatedly, making connections between mathematical concepts and relevant images, making observations on the pictures given, then sorting the numbers based on the views, providing a complete explanation. Then ask students to illustrate the correct and correct answers in their language. The need to pay attention and maximize the time for students to communicate their findings. Creating a learning atmosphere that supports mathematical communication by getting students to dare to express opinions or ideas related to lessons and enrich themselves by seeking information from various sources.Komunikasi matematis siswa SMP yang terkandung dalam jawaban tertulis matematika, terutama dalam menemukan pola pemecahan masalah, penyajian, dan penulisan ulang menggunakan bahasanya. Menyatakan situasi matematika ke dalam model matematika secara tertulis, dapat dilakukan dengan cara membaca dan memahami masalah secara berulang-ulang, membuat hubungan antara konsep matematika dan gambar yang relevan, melakukan pengamatan pada gambar yang diberikan, kemudian mengurutkan angka berdasarkan gambar, memberikan penjelasan yang lengkap, kemudian meminta siswa untuk mengilustrasikan jawaban dalam bahasa mereka sendiri yang benar dan benar. Perlunya memperhatikan dan memaksimalkan waktu bagi siswa untuk mengomunikasikan temuannya. Menciptakan suasana belajar yang mendukung komunikasi matematis dengan cara membiasakan siswa memberanikan diri mengemukakan pendapat atau gagasan terkait pelajaran, dan memperkaya diri dengan mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber.

Abstract

The application of project based blended learning in analyzing mathematical spatial literacy is described in this article. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Participants in the study consisted of 33 students of class XI at one public high school in Bandung Regency. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a one-shot case study design, the subject is taken by simple random sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in this study is quantitative data analysis in the form of descriptive statistical tests and differential statistical tests. Based on the results of calculations using descriptive statistical tests that students in the high category were 10 students (3%), the medium category was 21 students (64%) and the low category was 2 students (6%). The results of the differential analysis for the normality test of the data are not normally distributed and from the results of the calculation of the median test obtained 0,0148782 ≥ 0,025, this means that the results of this test conclude that at a 95% confidence interval, the median mathematical spatial literacy ability of students after the Project based blended learning model is applied can reach KKM.Penerapan project based blended learning dalam menganalisis literasi spasial matematis dideskripsikan dalam artikel ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian terdiri dari 33 siswa kelas XI pada satu SMA Negeri Kabupaten Bandung. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pre-experimental dengan desain one shot case study, subjek diambil secara simple random sampling dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kuantitatif berupa uji statistik deskriptif dan uji statistik iferensial. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif bahwa siswa yang memiliki kategori tinggi 10 siswa (3%), kategori sedang 21 siswa (64%) dan kategori rendah 2 siswa (6%). Hasil analisis iferensial untuk uji normalitas data tidak berdistribusi normal dan dari hasil perhitungan uji median diperoleh 0,0148782 ≥ 0,025, ini berarti Hasil pengujian ini memberikan kesimpulan bahwa pada selang kepercayaan 95%, median kemampuan literasi spasial matematis siswa setela diterapkan model Project based blended learning dapat mencapai KKM.

Abstract

This study aims to produce computer-based mathematics learning media using the Adobe Animate CC application on arithmetic sequences and series material in the context of Malay Islam with valid and prismatic categories. This type of research is design research in the development study section of the Akker method with the Tessmer procedure which consists of a preliminary stage and a prototyping stage with a formative evaluation flow (self-evaluation, one-to-one, small group, and field test stages). The research subjects were students of class XI MA Aulia Cendekia Palembang. The results show that the learning media developed is valid and practical.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis komputer menggunakan aplikasi Adobe Animate CC pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika dalam konteks Islam Melayu dengan kategori valid dan priaktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah design research pada bagian development study metode Akker dengan prosedur Tessmer yang terdiri dari tahap preliminary dan tahap prototyping dengan alur formative evaluation (tahap selft evaluation, one-to-one, small group, dan field test). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MA Aulia Cendekia Palembang. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the cognitive development of mathematics education students based on Piaget's theory in terms of gender differences. This research method is descriptive quantitative research with the research subjects being students of mathematics education at Timor Universities. Students' cognitive development was measured using the Logical Operations Test (LOT), which consisted of 14 numbers. LOT questions are given to students, the results are analyzed and described. The results showed that the cognitive development stage for females was 19.18% in the initial concrete stage, 36.99% in the final concrete stage, 13.70% in the initial formal stage and 1.37% in the final formal stage. Male at 9.59% in the initial concrete stage, 6.85% in the final concrete stage, 9.59% in the initial formal stage and 2.74% in the final formal stage. Meanwhile, students' understanding based on seven logical operations is in low understanding for each type.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui perkembangan kognitif mahasiswa pendidikan matematika berdasarkan teori Piaget ditinjau dari perbedaan jenis kelamin. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Timor. Perkembangan kognitif mahasiswa diukur dengan menggunakan Tes Operasi Logis (TOL) yang berjumlah 14 nomor. Soal TOL diberikan kepada mahasiswa, hasilnya dianalisis dan dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahap perkembangan kognitif sebesar 19,18% tahap konkret awal, 36,99 % tahap konkret akhir, 13,70% tahap formal awal dan 1,37% tahap formal akhir bagi mahasiswa perempuan. Sementara hasil pemetaan tahap perkembangan kognitif sebesar 9,59% tahap konkret awal, 6,85 % tahap konkret akhir, 9,59% tahap formal awal dan 2,74% tahap formal akhir bagi mahasiswa laki-laki. Sementara itu pemahaman mahasiswa berdasarkan 7 operasi logis berada dalam pemahaman rendah untuk masing-masing tipe.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an applicable Sumbawa local wisdom-based mathematics module for elementary school students by using the Four-D (4D) development research design from Thiagarajan. However, the development design of this module only includes three steps, namely define, design, and develop. The product feasibility test is only on the aspect of validity. Observation, interviews, and questionnaires were used to collect the data. The defined stage resulted in the formulation of the material, including the KPK, FPB, Fractions, Two-dimensional Shapes, and three-dimensional Geometry. A draft was created by emerging the elements of Sumbawa local wisdom in the materials, which is then validated at the design stage. The average validation results of material experts were 91.678%, linguists 90%, and media experts were 91.15%. The average validation result of the three specs is 90.94%, categorized as very valid, which confirms that the module is valid and suitable for elementary school students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul matematika berbasis kearifan lokal Sumbawa yang valid untuk siswa sekolah dasar dengan menggunakan desain penelitian pengembangan Four-D (4D) dari Thiagarajan. Namun, desain pengembangan modul ini hanya meliputi tiga langkah yaitu define, design, dan develop. Pada tahap develop, uji kelayakan produk hanya pada aspek kevalidan. Teknik pengambilan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan angket. Hasil penelitian pada tahap define yaitu perumusan materi yang meliputi KPK, FPB, pecahan, bangun datar dan bangun ruang.  Hasil penelitian pada tahap design yaitu memunculkan unsur kearifan lokal Sumbawa pada materi sehingga menghasilkan draf modul matematika berbasis kearifan lokal Sumbawa untuk divalidasi. Hasil validasi diperoleh bahwa rata-rata hasil validasi ahli materi 91.67%, ahli bahasa 90% dan ahli media 91.15%. Rata-rata hasil validasi ketiga spek yaitu 90.94% dan dikategorikan sangat valid, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul matematika berbasis kearifan lokal Sumbawa dikatakan sangat valid dan layak digunakan oleh siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the outcomes of establishing valid, practical, effective Hybrid Learning tools based on Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) and their impact on students' metacognitive abilities. Research and Development (R D) and experimental research are used to conduct the study. The research subjects are consisted of three classes of 7th grade students. Collaborative Learning and Learning Community are implemented which are the components of LSLC. The 4-D model, which includes define, design, develop, and disseminate, is used to develop learning tools. Lesson plans, worksheets, and a metacognition ability test were created as a result of the research and met the criteria of being of valid, practical, and effective. Based on experimental research, there is a significant effect of Hybrid Learning tools based on Lesson Study for Learning Community on students' metacognitive abilities with p-value of 0.001 (sig 0.05).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Hybrid Learning berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community yang valid, praktis, efektif dan menganlisis pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan metakognisi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kombinasi atau mix method. Penelitian ini menggabungkan dua bentuk penelitian yaitu penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dan penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kelas siswa VII yang terdiri dari kelas uji coba, kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Komponen Lesson Study for Learning Community yang diterapkan yaitu Collaborative Learning dan Learning Community. Proses pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dilaksanakan melalui 4-D yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran. Hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Hybrid Learning berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community berupa RPP, LKS dan tes kemampuan metakognisi siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Berdasarkan penelitian eksperimen dan observasi, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan perangkat pembelajaran Hybrid Learning berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community terhadap kemampuan metakognisis siswa dengan nilai signifikasi 0.001 .

Abstract

Selecta capita of mathematics is a subject that discusses algebra, geometry, and high school calculus material. Students face obstacles during the learning process: misconceptions about studying selecta capita of mathematics and the lack of electronic textbooks. Therefore, it is necessary to have electronic textbooks that can help students to solve problems by prioritizing independence in the learning process. This study aims to produce a selecta capita of mathematics e-books for SHS on a reasonable and practical contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach and to see the effectiveness of the e-book that has been developed. The development of selecta capita of mathematics e-book for SHS on CTL approach refers to ADDIE development model. The instruments used to determine the quality of a developed e-book are (1) questionnaires to measure the validity, (2) student response questionnaires to measure practicality, and (3) learning outcomes test questions. The results showed that selecta capita of mathematics e-books for SHS based on the CTL approach developed was good quality and could be used in learning.Kapita selekta matematika merupakan mata kuliah yang membahas materi aljabar, geometri dan kalkulus sekolah menengah atas. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran yaitu terdapat miskonsepsi dalam mempelajari kapita selekta matematika serta masih minimnya buku ajar elektronik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya bahan ajar elektronik yang dapat membantu peserta didik memecahkan permasalahan dengan mengutamakan kemandirian dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-book kapita selekta matematika SMA berbasis pendekatan contextual teaching and learning (CTL) yang valid dan praktis, serta melihat keefektifan e-book yang telah dikembangkan. Pengembangan e-book kapita selekta matematika SMA berbasis pendekatan CTL mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kualitas e-book yang dikembangkan, yakni: (1) angket untuk mengukur kevalidan; (2) angket respon peserta didik untuk mengukur kepraktisan; (3) soal tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan e-book kapita selekta matematika SMA berbasis pendekatan CTL yang telah dikembangkan berkualitas baik dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is a person's ability to formulate, apply, and interpret mathematics. The fact that Mathematical Literacy Skills is the main challenge in learning basic mathematics and can also be used as a key to explore mathematics learning. This article aims to analyze basic mathematical skills related to Van Hiele's project-based learning theory. The following type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this research are fourth grade students at SDN 2 Korowelanganyar Cepiring Kendal. The instruments used in the study were tests and interviews. The results of the following research show that SDN 2 Korowelanganyar improves students' geometric reasoning abilities and the characteristics of fourth grade geometric reasoning by learning basic mathematical knowledge related to Van Hiele's theory. This shows that learning basic mathematical knowledge by van Hiele's project-based learning theory can improve students' ability to solve geometry problems.Literasi matematik ialah kemampuan seseorang untuk merumuskan, menerapkan, serta menafsirkan matematika. Fakta bahwa literasi matematika adalah tantangan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika dasar serta juga bisa digunakan sebagai kunci untuk mengeksplorasi pembelajaran matematika. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan matematika dasar yang terkait dengan teori pembelajaran berbasis proyek Van Hiele. Jenis riset berikut ialah penelitian kualitatif. Subyek riset berikut ialah peserta didik kelas IV SDN 2 Korowelanganyar Cepiring Kendal. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ialah tes serta wawancara. Hasil riset berikut menunjukkan bahwa SDN 2 Korowelanganyar meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran geometrik peserta didik serta karakteristik penalaran geometrik kelas IV dengan mempelajari pengetahuan matematika dasar yang berkaitan dengan teori Van Hiele. Ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan mempelajari pengetahuan matematika dasar oleh teori pembelajaran berbasis proyek van Hiele mampu meningkatkan kememampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri.

Abstract

Algebra is important to learn as a provision in the face of future life, both at work and as preparation for higher education. However, basically students still have difficulty in solving algebra problems. Therefore, it is necessary to find out the factors that cause students' low algebraic abilities.The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between the algebraic abilities of students at Senior High School with their self-efficacy. The research is qualitative and quantitative. Statistic descriptive is to determine the connection and contribution of two variables, students' self-efficacy, and algebraic abilities. The research subjects taken were 200 students from Bukittinggi (West Sumatra). In this study, there were two instruments used, namely a self-efficacy questionnaire and an algebra test (SPLTV linear programming). The result shows that (1) In general, students' algebraic abilities are at a medium level with an average of 53.87. (2) Between algebraic abilities and self-efficacy have a very weak or very low correlation, so the correlation is ignored (it is assumed that there is no correlation between students' algebraic skills and self-efficacy) (3) Almost all students have good self-efficacy which is at a very high and quite low level. The finding implies that it is necessary to conduct research on the discovery of other factors that affect students' algebraic abilities.Aljabar penting dipelajari sebagai bekal dalam menghadapi kehidupan masa depan, baik di tempat kerja maupun sebagai persiapan menuju pendidikan tinggi. Namun, pada dasarnya siswa masih kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal aljabar. Oleh karena itu, perlu di cari tahu faktor penyebab kemampuan aljabar siswa yang masih rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan aljabar siswa SMA Negeri Bukittinggi dengan efikasi diri siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan gabungan antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif.  Deskriptif statistik untuk mengetahui hubungan dan kontribusi dua variabel yaitu efikasi diri dan kemampuan aljabar siswa. Subjek penelitian yang diambil adalah 200 siswa dari Bukittinggi (Sumatera Barat). Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua instrumen yang menggunakan angket efikasi diri dan tes aljabar (SPLTV Program linear). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Secara umum kemampuan aljabar siswa berada pada taraf sedang dengan rata-rata 66,125. (2) Antara kemampuan aljabar dan efikasi diri memiliki korelasi yang sangat lemah atau sangat rendah, sehingga korelasi tersebut diabaikan (diasumsikan tidak ada hubungan antara kemampuan aljabar siswa dengan efikasi diri) (3) Hampir semua siswa memiliki efikasi diri yang baik berada pada tingkat yang sangat tinggi dan cukup rendah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kemampuan aljabar siswa.

Abstract

Mathematics communication, which includes writing, drawing, and expressing mathematics, is essential in learning mathematics. The teacher needs to design learning to develop the ability to communicate mathematically. Questions presented in the Rainbow Mathematics Card (RMC) allow participants to be educated to convey the ideas and concepts that become part of developing mathematics communication ability. The study aims to make mathematics communication ability TGT learning with RMC. A type study is a mixed method that is designed and experimented with in subjects research. Data was obtained through test mathematics ability communication before and after learning using a paired t-test. The results showed an enhanced mathematics communication ability through the TGT learning model with RMC.Komunikasi matematika yang meliputi menulis, menggambar, dan mengekspresikan matematika, sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Guru perlu merancang pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berkomunikasi matematis. Soal-soal yang disajikan dalam Rainbow Mathematic Card (RMC) memungkinkan peserta dididik untuk menyampaikan ide dan konsep yang menjadi bagian dari pengembangan kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk tes peningkatan kemampuan matematis melalui pembelajaran TGT dengan RMC. Jenis studi adalah metode campuran yang kemudian dikembangkan dan dieksperimentasikan ke subjek penelitian. Data diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis melalui pembelajaran TGT dengan RMC.
