Abstract

This research aims to develop I-SETS-based LKPD to train critical thinking skills of SMP/MTs students to train critical thinking skills of SMP/MTs students in biology learning. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) according to the ADDIE development steps (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of validation tests by language, religion, and media experts stated that the learning media was suitable for use, while material experts stated that the learning media was very suitable for use. The results of the students' attractiveness response test based on small group and large group trials obtained the criteria for interpreting students' responses, namely very interesting. Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness test of I-SETS-based LKPD to train critical thinking skills of SMP/MTs students on animal and plant breeding material in the learning process could not be implemented due to COVID-19 which occurred globally throughout the world, including the learning process of students in school. So, this research and development is only carried out to the attractiveness response testing stage.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis I-SETS untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP/MTs untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP/MTs pada pembelajaran biologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) menurut langkan pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Hasil uji validasi oleh ahli bahasa, agama, dan ahli media menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran layak digunakan, sedangkan untuk ahli materi menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran sangat layak digunakan. Hasil uji respon kemenarikan siswa berdasarkan uji coba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar memperoleh kriteria interpretasi respon siswa yaitu sangat menarik. Sedangkan hasil uji efektivitas LKPD berbasis I-SETS untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP/MTs pada materi perkembangbiakan hewan dan tumbuhan dalam proses pembelajaran tidak dapat terlaksana dikarenakan adanya COVID-19 yang terjadi secara global diseluruh penjuru dunia, termasuk proses pembelajaran siswa di sekolah. Sehingga penelitian dan pengembangan ini hanya dilaksanakan sampai tahap uji respon kemenarikan saja.

Abstract

Pro environmental behavior refers to individual efforts to protect the environment and minimize activities that can have a negative impact on the environment. The purpose of this research is to review the results of research on factors that influence students' pro-environment behavior. This research used the SLR method on articles sourced from National and International databases and obtained 20 articles published in 2019-2023. The results of the article analysis show that the factors that influence students' pro-environmental behavior are divided into 3 components, namely: 1) Socio-Demographic Factors (age, gender), 2) Internal Factors (Knowledge, Attitudes, Psychology, Values) and 3) External Factors ( Economic and Social Norma). Most research is carried out to examine students' pro-environmental behavior, namely knowledge, attitudes, gender and attitude factors. Further research is recommended to look at the influence of each factor to find out the strongest predictors so as to increase students' pro-environmental behavior.ABSTRAK: Perilaku pro lingkungan mengacu pada upaya individu untuk menjaga lingkungan dan meminimalkan kegiatan yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mereview hasil penelitian-penelitian tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pro lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SLR pada artikel-artikel yang bersumber dari database Nasional dan Internasional dan diperoleh 20 artikel yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2019-2023. Hasil analisis artikel menunjukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku pro lingkungan siswa dikelompokkan menjadi 3 komponen yaitu: 1) Socio-Demographic factors (age, gender), 2) Internal Factors (Knowledge, Attitude, Psychology, Personal Norma) dan 3) External Factors (Economic and Social Norma). Penelitan paling banyak dilakukan untuk meneliti perilaku pro lingkungan siswa yaitu faktor pengetahuan, sikap, jenis kelamin dan sikap. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan melihat pengaruh dari masing-masing faktor untuk mengetahui prediktor yang paling kuat sehingga mampu meningkatkan perilaku pro lingkungan siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a waste pollution module using the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) model. The module was developed using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validity of this development module refers to the results of validation by validators who are teaching materials experts, material experts and field practitioners. The practicality of this module refers to the results of assessments by users (students). The research results show that the module developed meets validity and practicality.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pencemaran sampah dengan model Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI). Modul dikembangkan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Kevalidan modul hasil pengembangan ini mengacu pada hasil validasi oleh validator ahli bahan ajar, ahli materi, dan praktisi lapangan. Kepraktisan modul ini mengacu pada hasil penilaian oleh pengguna (mahasiswa). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kevalidan  dan kepraktisan.

Abstract

The genus Eugenia is known to be complex with intricate synonyms and taxonomy, and morphological identification is often unreliable due to overlapping characteristics and environmental influences, particularly in the flowers. DNA barcoding provides a way around this problem, as it can identify specimens using very short gene sequence fragments obtained from a small number of tissues.  The method used in this research is the in silico dengan menggunakan barcode DNA ITS, rbcL, dan psbA-trnH dari spesies Eugenia spp yang ditemukan di NCBI GenBank. The successful reconstruction of the phylogenetic tree from the three regions, including ITS, rbcL, and psbA-trnH shows that several species of Eugenia spp. are divided into 2 clades. Research successfully analyzed Eugenia plant relationship with using the ITS, rbcL, and psbA-trnH gene sequences in silico based shows that several species of Eugenia spp. are divided into 2 clades. In general, high bootstrap values are shown by phylogenetic trees based on the ITS region.ABSTRAK: Genus Eugenia dikenal kompleks dengan sinonim dan taksonomi yang rumit, serta identifikasi morfologis yang sering tidak dapat diandalkan karena karakter yang tumpang tindih dan dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan, terutama pada bagian bunga. Barcoding DNA memberikan jalan keluar dari masalah ini, karena dapat mengidentifikasi spesimen menggunakan fragmen urutan gen yang sangat pendek yang diperoleh dari sejumlah kecil jaringan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah in silico dengan menggunakan barcode DNA ITS, rbcL, dan psbA-trnH dari spesies Eugenia spp yang ditemukan di NCBI GenBank. Keberhasilan rekonstruksi pohon filogenetik dari tiga wilayah antara lain ITS, rbcL, dan psbA-trnH menunjukkan bahwa beberapa spesies Eugenia spp. dibagi menjadi 2 clade. Penelitian yang berhasil menganalisis hubungan tanaman Eugenia dengan menggunakan rangkaian gen ITS, rbcL, dan psbA-trnH secara silico menunjukkan bahwa beberapa spesies Eugenia spp. dibagi menjadi 2 clade. Secara umum nilai bootstrap yang tinggi ditunjukkan oleh pohon filogenetik berdasarkan wilayah ITS.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the PjBL model with the Bio-Entrepreneurship (BEP) approach to scientific literacy abilities and life skills. The method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest posttest non-equivalent control group research design. The sample for this research consisted of 71 students consisting of experimental classes and control classes, using a purposive sampling technique. The results of research on scientific literacy abilities show that the average N-Gain in the experimental class is 0.67 with medium criteria, while the control class average N-Gain is 0.28 with low criteria. The results of life skill abilities after being given treatment in the experimental class increased higher with an average of 78.63 compared to those in the control class with an average of 51.74. Thus, this research shows significant implications for students' abilities in developing real projects by combining aspects of entrepreneurship and biological concepts in everyday life.ABSTRAK: This study aims to analyze the PjBL model with a Bio-Entrepreneurship (BEP) approach to science literacy and life skills. Abstract

Biology teachers have not made regional potential a source of learning. The natural environment around the school is used to support teacher explanations that do not create exploratory. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the integrated module of the local potential of South Tapanuli for the biodiversity of the Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) plant. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method referring to the 4-D development model developed by Thiagarajan. The small group trial subjects consisted of 14 students of class X MIA-1. The results of the development module research show validity values of 87% and 95% by teaching module and material experts, 87% and 83% practicality values by biology teachers and students, while effectiveness based on individual mastery of student learning outcomes achieves classical mastery of  85% . The overall results meet the valid, practical and effective categories, so that the development module deserves to be a teaching material in learning activities about andaliman plants.ABSTRAK: Guru biologi belum menjadikan potensi daerah sebagai sumber belajar. Lingkungan alam sekitar sekolah dimanfaatkan sebatas mendukung penjelasan guru yang tidak menciptakan eksploratif. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul terintegrasi potensi lokal Tapanuli Selatan keanekaragaman hayati tumbuhan andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC). Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) mengacu model pengembangan 4-D dikembangkan Thiagarajan. Subjek uji coba kelompok kecil terdiri 14 peserta didik kelas X MIA-1. Hasil penelitian modul pengembangan menunjukkan nilai kevalidan 87% dan 95% oleh ahli modul ajar dan materi, nilai kepraktisan 87% dan 83% oleh guru biologi dan peserta didik, sementara keefektifan berdasarkan ketuntasan individual dari hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 85%. Keseluruhan hasil memenuhi kategori valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga modul pengembangan layak menjadi bahan ajar didalam kegiatan pembelajaran mengenai keragaman tumbuhan andaliman.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the abundance and distribution of macroinvertebrates at Watu Lumbung Beach, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The study was conducted in May 2022 using the quadratic transect method with a 1x1 m plot. Sampling was carried out at two randomly selected stations. The first station was located 50 meters from the Watu Lumbung reef, while the second station was 250 meters away, resulting in a 200-meter distance between the two stations. Data analysis involved calculating the Shannon-Weiner diversity index (H'). This study identified 16 species of macroinvertebrates at Watu Lumbung Beach, classified into 13 families and nine classes: Polychaeta, Malacostraca, Anthozoa, Echinoidea, Ophiuridae, Gastropoda, Polyplacophora, Pilidiophora, and Demospongia. The family Ophiocomidae, specifically Ophiocoma erinaceus and Ophiocoma scolopendrina, was the most abundant at both stations. The diversity level was moderate, with a Shannon-Weiner index value of 1.94.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan dan sebaran makroinvertebrata di Pantai Watu Lumbung, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2022 dengan metode transek kuadrat dengan ukuran 1x1m. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada dua stasiun yang ditentukan secara acak. Stasiun pertama terletak di dekat karang Watu Lumbung dengan jarak 50 meter, sedangkan stasiun kedua berjarak 250 meter dari karang, sehingga jarak antar stasiun adalah 200 meter. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’). Pada penelitian kali ini diketahui kelimpahan makroinvertebrata di Pantai Watu Lumbung berjumlah 16 spesies, dikelompokkan dalam 13 famili, dan diklasifikasikan dalam sembilan kelas (Polychaeta, Malacostraca, Anthozoa, Echinoidea, Ophiuridae, Gastropoda, Polyplacophora, Pilidiophora dan Demospongia). Famili Ophiocomidae (Ophiocoma erinaceus dan Ophiocoma scolopendrina) merupakan spesies yang paling melimpah di kedua stasiun pengamatan. Keberagaman tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai 1,94.

Abstract

Biology learning can take the form of practical activities that require practical instructions as activity guides. Practical instructions formed in the E-book model will provide advantages in terms of practicality and efficiency. The aim of this research is to make students more active in the biology learning process. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The development design used is ADDIE. This research data collection used interview and questionnaire methods. The results of the development of the guided inquiry-based interactive practical e-book were validated by media experts 93% (very feasible), material experts 96% (very feasible), and learning methodology experts 95% (very feasible). From the three validators, an average score of 94% can be taken, so that the guided inquiry-based interactive practicum guide E-book can be declared "Very Eligible" for testing. The results of the readability test for biology teachers received a score of 100% with the criteria "Very Eligible". Meanwhile, for students in class XI MIPA, 20 students were used, namely 10 students in class XI MIPA 5 and 10 students in class.ABSTRAK: Pembelajaran biologi dapat berupa kegiatan praktikum yang membutuhkan petunjuk praktikum sebagai panduan kegiatan. Petunjuk praktikum yang dibentuk dalam model E-book akan memberikan kelebihan dalam hal kepraktisan dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat siswa lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) desain pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara dan angket. Hasil pengembangan E-book petunjuk praktikum interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing di validasi oleh ahli media 93% (sangat layak), ahli materi 96% (sangat layak), dan ahli metodologi pembelajaran 95% (sangat layak).  Dari ketiga validator dapat diambil nilai rata-rata sebesar 94%, sehingga E-book petunjuk praktikum interaktif berbasisi inkuiri terbimbing dapat dikriteriakan “Sangat Layak” untuk diujikan. Hasil uji keterbacaan pada guru biologi mendapatkan skor 100% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Sedangkan pada siswa kelas XI MIPA menggunakan 20 siswa yaitu 10 siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 dan 10 siswa kelas XI MIPA 6 mendapatkan hasil nilai rata-rata 80% dengan kriteria “Layak” untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Practicum is one of the learning methods that can help students construct various psychomotor skills, higher order thinking, and characterise learning outcomes. However, currently there are still many worksheets that do not meet the standards and do not show knowledge construction. In addition, there has been no research on the reconstruction of the vitamin c test worksheet. Therefore, it is necessary to analyse and reconstruct the vitamin c test worksheet. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the ANCOR (Analyze, Trial and Reconstruct) stage. The population in this study was vitamin c test worksheets for junior high school class VIII used by teachers. The sample in this study was one of the worksheets used in learning at school, circulating on the internet and having incomplete components. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results of the analysis obtained that the worksheet does not comply with the standards, so it is necessary to reconstruct the worksheet. The reconstruction of this worksheet can be an alternative worksheet to overcome the shortcomings of the current worksheet.ABSTRAK: Praktikum merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat membantu mahasiswa membangun berbagai keterampilan psikomotorik, pemikiran tingkat tinggi, dan mengkarakterisasi hasil belajar.Namun, saat ini masih banyak lembar kerja yang tidak memenuhi standar dan tidak menunjukkan konstruksi pengetahuan. Selain itu, belum ada penelitian tentang rekonstruksi lembar kerja tes vitamin c. Oleh karena itu, perlu untuk menganalisis dan merekonstruksi lembar kerja tes vitamin c. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan tahap ANCOR (Analyze, Trial and Reconstruct). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar kerja tes vitamin c untuk SMP  kelas VIII yang digunakan oleh guru. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan salah satu lembar kerja yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah, beredar di internet dan memiliki komponen yang tidak lengkap. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa lembar kerja tidak sesuai dengan standar, sehingga perlu dilakukan rekonstruksi lembar kerja. Rekonstruksi lembar kerja ini dapat menjadi alternatif lembar kerja untuk mengatasi kekurangan lembar kerja saat ini.

Abstract

Learning in the 21st century requires the use of technology. E-modules are one form of utilizing technology as a medium for teaching materials. The research aims to test the feasibility of an e-module based on problem-based learning combined with Socratic dialogue to enhance critical thinking skills. Feasibility test includes validity testing and practicality testing of e-modules. The e-module validity test was carried out by three expert validators, namely material expert validators, learning media experts, and learning instrument experts. The practicality test aims to determine the responses from educational practitioners and e-module users. The instrument used to assess the feasibility of e-modules was a questionnaire. The feasibility test results in the form of assessment scores were analyzed quantitatively. The results of the e-module validity test obtained a total average score of 92.67 (very good). The results of the e-module practicality test obtained a total average score of 92.66 (very good). The e-module based on PBL combined with Socratic dialogue has a very good level of feasibility and is suitable for application in the classroom.ABSTRAK: Pembelajaran di abad 21 menuntut adanya pemanfaatn teknologi. E-modul adalah salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media bahan ajar. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan e-modul berbasis Problem-Based Learning dipadu Dialog Socrates untuk memberdayakan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Uji kelayakan meliputi uji validitas dan uji kepraktisan e-modul. Uji validitas e-modul dilakukan oleh tiga validator ahli, yaitu validator ahli materi, ahli media pembelajaran, dan ahli instrumen pembelajaran. Uji kepraktisan bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon dari praktisi pendidikan dan pengguna e-modul. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menilai kelayakan e-modul adalah angket. Hasil uji kelayakan berupa skor penilaian dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil uji validitas e-modul memperoleh nilai rata-rata total sebesar 92,67 (sangat baik). Hasil uji kepraktisan e-modul memperoleh nilai rata-rata total sebesar 92,66 (sangat baik). E-modul berbasis Problem-Based Learning dipadu Dialog Socrates memiliki tingkat kelayakan yang sangat baik dan layak untuk diterapkan di kelas.
