Abstract

This study aims to examine the difference between students with high and low levels of mathematical self-efficacy regarding their interest in learning mathematics at the high school level (SMA). The research design employed is quantitative. Data analysis utilized an independent samples t-test conducted via IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The study involved distributing questionnaires to 51 high school students from grades X, XI, and XII. Data processing included preliminary tests such as normality and homogeneity tests, followed by the Independent Samples t-test with a significance level of 5%. The hypothesis testing results using the Independent Samples t-test indicated a significance value (2-tailed) for equal variances assumed of 0.787 > 0.05, suggesting a difference between students with high and low levels of mathematical self-efficacy concerning their interest in learning mathematics at the high school level.

Abstract

The role of teachers is as teachers, mentors, and educators. As a teacher, teachers carry out education, creating effective and enjoyable learning. As mentors, teachers help students recognize themselves and their problems and solve their problems. As educators, teachers facilitate the process of recognizing and maturing students through learning. This research aims to find out evaluation of the role of teachers on the implementation of an independent curriculum mathematics learning. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This study examined mathematics teachers. The data collection method used was by conducting document analysis, observation, and interviews. The documents analyzed were teaching modules. Data analysis was conducted this was is done by minimizing amount of data, presenting data, and making conclusions. All of this was done using the triangulation techniqueThe results of observation and interview results are analyzed using completeness and content of the documents.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan metode pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika yang mengaitkan kebudayaan  ke dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kebudayaan menjadi media yang dapat dipakai tenaga pendidik dalam mengajarkan konsep-konsep matematika agar lebih mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik. Salah satu keragaman budaya Indonesia yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah Rumah Adat Honai yang berasal dari tanah Papua. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah pengumpulan literatur dengan mencari artikel melalui portal Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, dan Perpusnas dengan menggunakan kata kunci Rumah Adat Honai, implementasi etnomatematika, geometri dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data  dilakukan dengan penyajian data, pengolahan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah konsep-konsep geometri  yang ditemukan dalam Rumah Adat Honai.

Abstract

This research aims to test the learning design that has been designed by developing and improving things that still hinder the learning process of measurement, area and volume material in class IV students at SDN Purworejo 01. The method used in this research uses design research which was carried out in Class IV students at SDN Purworejo with a total of 11 students consisting of 3 female students and 8 male students. The data collection technique in this research is observation which consists of observations for one-on-one and small group trials, documentation and field notes, as additional data, namely interviews. The results of this research show 3 out of 11 students still cannot understand the material regarding measurements, area and volume and only 8 students can understand this material.

Abstract

This research aims to produce the characteristics of e-modules based on the creative problem solving (CPS) learning model on SPLDV material on valid, practical problem solving abilities, as well as to determine the potential effects of using e-modules based on the creative problem solving (CPS) learning model on the material. SPLDV on problem solving abilities. This type of research is the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of this research involved students in class VIII of one of the state junior high schools in Airgegas for one to one trials, totaling 3 students in class VIII4, small group trials, totaling 9 students in class VIII4, field trials, totaling 21 participants. class VIII4 students, and a pilot test consisting of 30 class VIII2 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, questionnaires and tests (pretest and posttest). The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. This research produces characteristics of an e-module based on a creative problem solving (CPS) learning model that is valid and practical, and has a potential effect on students' problem solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the mathematical connection skills of MA students when solving contextual problems of linear program material. This research applies a qualitative approach and this type of research is descriptive research. The research was conducted at MA Bilingual Batu with the research subjects being students of class XI MIPA1. Students were given mathematical connection ability test questions in the form of contextual problems and based on the test results were grouped into three groups, namely high, medium, and low. Furthermore, from each group one was chosen as the final subject. The research instruments used were mathematical connection ability test questions and interview guidelines. Analysis of the mathematical connection ability of the research subjects was assessed based on indicators of connections with everyday life, connections with other disciplines, and connections between mathematical topics. The results showed that students with high ability could fulfill the indicators of determining plans or strategies, making mathematical models, applying concepts of other disciplines, and determining and applying mathematical concepts to solve the given problem. Learners with moderate mathematical connection ability are only able to fulfill indicators of determining plans or strategies, applying concepts of other disciplines, and determining mathematical concepts to solve given problems. Meanwhile, students with low mathematical connection ability have not been able to fulfill all indicators of aspects of mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

The STEM approach is an approach used to improve students' problem solving, critical and creative thinking abilities, and can be a foundation in preparing students for careers in technology, science and engineering. Therefore, researchers integrated a STEM-based Problem Based Learning model which aims to determine students' problem solving abilities in learning Mathematics on SPLTV material and prepare students to face the world of work. The subjects of this research were students of class X Nautika 2 at SMK Negeri 5 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, academic year 2023/2024. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The assessment instrument used is a test technique in the form of a description which is carried out at the end of each cycle. The data that has been collected from the test results is then analyzed descriptively to see the picture or percentage of actions that have been carried out. The results of the research show that the application of the STEM-based problem based learning model can increase problem solving abilities in the SPLTV material of class X Nautika 2 students at SMK Negeri 5 Tanjungpinang by 15%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika berbantuan media baambozle berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini merupakan pre eksperimen dan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah hanya kelas VII MTs Nurud Dzalam Alassumur Kulon Kraksaan, dengan jumlah 28 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah kuesioner tes yang berisi sepuluh soal yang mencakup topik-topik yang berkaitan dengan persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier yang melibatkan satu variabel. Ada tiga langkah dalam proses pengujian: 1) Uji normalitas, 2) Uji homogenitas, dan 3) Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, penggunaan media baambozle berbasis kearifan lokal memberikan pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Studi ini akan melihat tiga indikator pemahaman konsep: menyatakan kembali ide, mengekspresikan ide menggunakan representasi matematis, dan menerapkan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika berbantuan media baamboozle dan pemahaman konsep matematika lebih baik setelah menggunakan media baamboozle berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

This research aims to produce an e-module based on an inquiry learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in number pattern material for class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak by achieving levels of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research method applies Research and Development involving 3 material validator experts and 3 media expert validators. The subjects of this research were 24 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Data collected were validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, interviews and students' critical thinking ability tests. The results of this research show that the e-module validity assessment is at 84.1% (Quite Valid) criteria, the practicality assessment is at 89.1% (Very Practical) and the effectiveness assessment is at 70.8% (Effective). So it can be stated that the e-module is suitable for use as a learning medium for class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak regarding the subject of number pattern systems.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and practical diagnostic test instrument so as to identify student misconceptions on integer operation material. Diagnostic tests are developed using a four-tier test format. The research method uses a development method by Tessmer, namely Formative Research which consists of the preliminary stage, self-evaluation stage, prototyping stage (expert review, one to one, small group) and field test stage. The results are diagnostic test instruments that are declared valid and practical by the experts and the students. The results of the student diagnostic test showed that there was a misconception in the Learning Objectives (TP) of reading and writing integers by 25.86%, comparing integers by 12.07%, performing arithmetic operations on integers by 21.94% and using arithmetic operations on integers and providing estimates in solving problems by 27.01%.
