Jurnal Tematik merupakan media komunikasi para akademisi, guru dan pemerhati dunia pendidikan dalam perspektif kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan hasil penelitian, refleksi dan kajian kritis yang aktual berkenaan dengan tema-tema pendidikan, seperti kebijakan atau regulasi pendidikan, kurikulum, inovasi pembelajaran (kajian materi, pendekatan, model, metode, media dan evaluasi belajar) dalam ruang lingkup pendidikan dasar. Terbit tiga kali dalam setahun yakni April, Agustus dan Desember. Terbit pertama kali untuk edisi April 2012. Jurnal Tematik adalah jurnal berkala ilmiah berisi tulisan yang diangkat dari hasil penelitian pendidikan dasar pada fokus aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan jurnal nasional bermitra bestari yang diterbitkan tiga kali setahun dalam bentuk cetak dan online oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia. Pernyataan ini menjelaskan perilaku etis seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam penerbitan artikel dalam Jurnal Tematik, termasuk penulis, dewan penyunting, mitra bestari, dan penerbit. Abstract

Badminton is a sport that requires agility and footwork for multi-directional movement on the court. This study aims to examine the effect of agility training on the reaction speed and agility of badminton athletes. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a Pre-test and Post-test design on four UNIMED students. The training applied was the Shadow Footwork cross-path pattern (X-Pattern) which was given for three meetings. Data were analyzed using statistical tests with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant increase in both dependent variables. The average reaction speed (travel time) of athletes increased (became faster) by 8.25%, while the average technical agility score (Body Position, Foot Agility, and Hands) increased by 27.08%. It was concluded that Agility Training (Shadow Footwork H) is effective in improving the reaction speed and movement quality of badminton athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Pancasila student profile in building the character of mutual cooperation in fifth-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Ngimbang Lamongan. This research method is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects included fifth-grade students and fifth-grade teachers. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model with triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Aspects studied in forming the character of mutual cooperation include collaboration, caring, and sharing. The results of the study show that students demonstrate the ability to work together, care for friends and the environment, and are willing to share information and learning tools. The implementation of the values in the Pancasila student profile has been proven to play an important role in building the character of mutual cooperation in students, so it needs to be supported continuously through habituation programs, teacher training, and strengthening a collaborative learning environment.

Abstract

Technological advancements in the Society 5.0 era encourage the education sector to create creative, interactive, and student-centered learning media. In the Elementary Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject at the primary school level, one common issue is the low level of students’ critical thinking skills, largely due to the continued use of conventional teaching methods. This study aims to develop a Smart Apps Creator-based learning media for the Human Digestive System topic for 5th-grade elementary school students, with a primary focus on enhancing critical thinking skills. This research is a Research and Development study that applies the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The research subjects were 5th-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Babat. Research instruments included expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and student activity questionnaires. The results showed that the media was categorized as highly valid, with expert validation scores of 93.3% from material experts, 90% from media experts, and 91.7% from design experts. The practicality of the media was also very high, with student response scores above 91%. Therefore, the Smart Apps Creator-based learning media is considered feasible and recommended as a supportive tool for IPAS learning to strengthen students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of student engagement in science learning in third-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 01 Payaman. The objective of this study was to improve student engagement through the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategies. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), implemented in two cycles. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 22 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed an increase in student engagement in each cycle after the implementation of the PBL strategy. The average student engagement score increased from 65.50 in cycle I to 72.17 in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning strategy has proven effective in increasing student engagement in science learning in third-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 01 Payaman.

Abstract

Character education based on Islamic values plays a crucial role in shaping a generation that is faithful, pious, and morally upright. MI Muhammadiyah 01 Sukodadi, as an Islamic educational institution, is committed to instilling Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah values in its teaching and learning processes, particularly for fourth-grade students. This study aims to explore how the implementation of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah character education contributes to the development of students’ faith, piety, and noble character. The research employed qualitative methods, including observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings indicate that MI Muhammadiyah 01 Sukodadi has successfully developed students' character holistically, encompassing aspects of faith, morals, intellect, social interaction, and leadership. Students demonstrated a good understanding of Islamic teachings and actively participated in religious activities, although maintaining consistency in worship remains a challenge. Their social interactions with peers and teachers reflected positive attitudes and a strong sense of empathy. However, issues such as impolite behavior and a lack of interest in leadership roles still need to be addressed. Overall, the school has created a supportive educational environment for character development grounded in Islamic and moral values.

Abstract

The implementation of the digital media-based song "Tujuh Sifat Anak-Anak Hebat Indonesia" in Medan certainly faces challenges and obstacles, both in terms of the availability of technological facilities and teachers' readiness to use the song in early childhood learning. Based on field observations, not all early childhood education institutions in Medan have adequate access to technological devices and the internet. Furthermore, many early childhood education teachers still have difficulty accessing information using the internet and other digital technologies. These limitations hinder the optimal use of digital media in learning. Some early childhood education institutions in Medan pay little attention to arts learning activities, including music. This results in a lack of creativity in children and limited use of digital media in music teaching. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation strategy for the digital media-based song "Tujuh Sifat Anak-Anak Hebat Indonesia" and its implications for positive character development in early childhood. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, using observation, interviews, and document study techniques.

Abstract

Based on the results of research with children aged 4-5 years in Efrata Kindergarten Medan, researchers obtained information and facts in the class that there were several students whose social development based on their parents' work was studied. So this study aims to find out how the achievements of social development of children aged 4-5 years based on their parents' work in Efrata Kindergarten Medan. This type of research is qualitative research with the subjects and objects of research, namely children aged 4-5 years in Efrata Kindergarten Medan, totaling 4 students where this study uses descriptive research with the aim of describing the achievements of children's social development based on their parents' work in Efrata Kindergarten Medan. After this research was conducted, the results of this study showed that the social interactions of children aged 4-5 years with peers and adults in Efrata Kindergarten Medan included 2 responses, namely action and communication, The self-confidence of children aged 4-5 years in Efrata Kindergarten Medan showed positive self-confidence such as daring to appear and negative self-confidence such as fear and crying, The responsibility of children aged 4-5 years in Efrata Kindergarten Medan showed that some could be responsible for their duties well and some could not be responsible for their duties well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas integrasi validitas isi, konstruk, dan konsekuensi pada tes pembelajaran di tingkat SD/MI. Tujuan penelitiannya adalah untuk menjelaskan pentingnya penerapan ketiga dimensi validitas secara terpadu untuk menghasilkan sistem evaluasi yang objektif, akurat, dan bermakna. Penelitian menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan panduan kerangka PRISMA. Data diperoleh melalui penelusuran literatur dari basis data Google Scholar menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan validitas tes dalam pendidikan dasar. Dari 124 artikel awal yang diidentifikasi pada rentang tahun 2019–2026, sebanyak 15 artikel ilmiah terpilih yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi ketat dianalisis secara mendalam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa validitas isi berfungsi memastikan kesesuaian soal dengan kurikulum dan tujuan pembelajaran; validitas konstruk berperan mengukur kemampuan berpikir dan aspek kognitif peserta didik secara tepat melalui pengukuran modern; sedangkan validitas konsekuensi menekankan pada dampak etis hasil tes terhadap perkembangan karakter, motivasi, dan kejujuran peserta didik. Integrasi ketiga validitas tersebut dapat diwujudkan melalui penyusunan kisi-kisi yang sistematis, penggunaan soal berbasis kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, serta penerapan penilaian autentik. Dengan demikian, sistem evaluasi di SD/MI tidak hanya berorientasi pada nilai akademik, tetapi juga mampu membentuk kompetensi dan karakter peserta didik secara menyeluruh.
